This breaking news needed its own thread. Apparently, there are going to be some changes. It is rumored that Zach won't be returning as the director for any DC films, and the director of the standalone Batman movie wants a fresh face as Batman, so Ben won't be playing Batman in a solo film. Hmm... I wonder who is next on the chopping block. No one is safe, other than Gal and Jason M.

Oh, they will find investors. The question is can they find takers for this lot of films? I'm guessing not quality ones, because they are making the sale known. Plus, they get final sale on who gets to buy the minority ownership. Translation: if the winning bid is too low, they can toss it back.
They can get foreign investors, but I doubt the Rock's company will want to financially back a big budget film. The Rock's company offers his name not necessarily cash.

I know this is old news, and DC has a bit of a win with Shazam (until Avengers Endgame came along), but do you think his firing would further lessen HC being returned or with his new replacement be opposite and would let HC come back to do another MOS movie?

I don't know anything about the new head, but old heads are sure to fill him in, if he doesn't know anything about HC.
However, if we look at the slate of WB/DC movies, they are booked solid for production until 2023. HC will be darn near 40, which is forgivable for an actor, but as Supes? His face/body have to hold up, and nope playing an old looking Supes will not do. No one wants to see gramps as the lead in a Hollywood Superhero movie.
Now, before 2023, he could play a part in an upcoming superhero movie, but he won't be top billing. Since, it will not be a Supes movie or a duo movie with Supes. Oddly enough, he will be lucky to get the same offer he turned down, which was a small part/cameo that he got for Shazam.

Robert Pattison to play Batman. This definitely means DC is pushing young and someone with a box office draw. That could spell danger for HC, if I am to assume he didn't have a fallout w/WB.
On the flip side, HC is looking younger, and maybe he could hold out for some years to play Supes. I doubt that will ever happen, because I truly believe the ties were cut. Even if I didn't, there is no Supes movies in the horizon, and HC wants a part -- not a cameo in a movie. That mindset spells disaster for mending any fences.

But Robert Pattinson’s age is not so much different from HC’s. He’s only 3 years younger. RP was born in May 1986, HC was born in May 1983.
For Batman, they are going for someone younger as Pattinson’s age compared to Affleck’s is more than 10 years.
I think Zachary Levi (Shazam) is also close to HC’s age, and Jason Momoa is older than both HC and RP as he was born in 1979.
I don’t think it’s age. Something bad went down during the negotiations, me thinketh.

Oh, I agree, but I do think they are going younger. RP has a young fan base, and he's playing Batman. WB has greenlit Supergirl, and they didn't want to put Supes in that movie.

Honestly, I’m no fan of JJ Abrams after what he did with Star Trek (he had to mess with the canon timeline - why?), and Star Wars TFA (he couldn’t even bring Han, Leia and Luke or even Lando in one scene together and killed off Han- why?).
The biggest news (or rumour) I heard is that he may cast a different Superman as he wants someone younger as Superman can’t be older than Batman. (Umm Patterson who is the new Batman is older than HC, so why again?) I do wonder if this is true, particularly when HC has a strong fan following. Whatever HC and the director from Mission Impossible had in mind for a MOS 2 was reportedly put aside because JJ was taking over.
But hey, who knows? JJ does bring in the big bucks and the fans in at the beginning, so if you need a rebooter, I guess he’s the “guy”.

Patterson has a young vibe to him. Plus, he has a young fan base. HC's fan base tends to run old.

True, but a lot of comic book fans love HC. I personally think he should move on from being Superman because I feel it has stopped him from progressing as an actor, but then again it seems he has other things stopping him from progressing on (eg excessive body-building). But this is an old bone to pick.

Bad news for Ray Fisher as he is reportedly Written Out of DC’s ‘The Flash’ and Cyborg Will Not Be Recast. The head of WB will remain there until 2023.

Look, I may sound like a jerk, and I UNDERSTAND he felt singled out, possibly due to race, but GEEZ man....he kept honking his horn despite not being one of the A-listers...the most replaceable team members are Flash and CYBORG...shut your face already! Goodness.

No, this is exactly what I'm thinking. He has to know that it's not what you know. It's what you can prove. Plus, he has to consider his place in the business, as a relative newcomer. I mean sometimes you have to suck it up, and then come back swinging, if you make it big.

THANK YOU! You said it better then I could at the moment (sometimes I write these in a rush and too quickly..lol). I know this is almost uncomparable, but reading Jackie Robinson's private bio (the film "51"touches on all of this too), it took EVERY BIT OF HIS BEING to turn the other cheek as players and fans alike shunned him, called him names due to race....once African American's were well established in the game of baseball, he becamse VERY OUTSPOKEN AND VOCAL! This, of course, after he proved himself and put up Hall of Fame numbers. Fisher has hardly has a "Hall of Fame" filmography! In fact, the role would've probably made him famous! Not anymore.
