OK, I thought they were going to continue following the "Before the 90 Days" people, but apparently not.
So, I just tuned in tonight and I already know two of the people who are on this. I didn't remember Molly until she mentioned the show she used to have with her business partner. It was a very uncomfortable show to watch. I think I tuned in for about one, maybe two episodes before I stopped watching.
Then there's Nicole and Azan. This is the first I'm hearing of her daughter. I remember her from being on the show before. She's sweet, but I remember thinking at the time that she really needed to grow up (I know she was young then, so that was part of the problem) and she needed to understand more about his culture. Of course he's not going to be affectionate with her in public. That's not the way his culture is. And I don't think him being here is going to change that. The thing about her story though, is that I remember watching her two or three years ago at least, but she's saying it's only been a year since she met Azan??? Or is it that this stuff is taped a year or more in advance? And from what little I've seen, she still strikes me as someone who needs more maturity. OK, here's my problem with Nicole's family. The mother isn't very different from mine. "You need to grow up. You're not mature enough." But then she doesn't let Niclole grow up and learn what she needs to learn because she's always trying to control what Nicole does. So of course Nicole is going to be emotionally immature and insecure. Her mother is doing more harm than good. And she's so critical. So of course Nicole is ALWAYS going to go on the defensive with her. It's a disaster waiting to happen. And Morocco is not the place for Nicole, but her mother is going to drive her straight to living in that country just so she can get away from her mom. Which means she'll go essentially from one controlling situation to another. NOT GOOD.
The rest I'm waiting to see. Although the girl from Thailand (unless there's someone else I'm thinking of and just confusing her with the girl from Thailand) is reminding me of Anfisa. I hope I'm wrong in this. OK, yep, I'm confusing Annie with the other girl. Sorry about that. Still trying to learn everyone's names since tonight is the first night I've watched this season.
Yep, I'm concerned about David and Annie. David concerns me because he's living WAY beyond his means and just like Jorge, I don't think he's told Annie that he doesn't have any money. Strikes me as another Jorge and Anfisa waiting to happen.

Squid, I think the 12K part is scripted. He likely gave her the exes ring if it is a family heirloom, as he said.

Okay my thoughts on the recent episode. Thank god for boards like this, because how else would I be able to get the thoughts I have about these silly shows off my chest? Haha!
I don't like Spanish David (with Evelyn). I'm definitely not a fan of her, either. But his constant whining about wanting to movie is bizarre and curious. Like the brother said, Virginia is really not that much more happenin than New Hampshire. Not sure what he's imagining. And if it is just so he can be around these phantom "buddies" of his, again I agree with the brother that that seems like an insult to put them above her. And he really had his mind made up before he even set foot in Claremont that he didn't want to be there. It does seem a little unfair. And the apple thing was immature. And also him telling her that she has no idea of the outside world...uh, didn't she meet him WHILE visiting Europe? It's not like she is just some backwoods person who has never left her town ever. She's been out of the country...my own dang 74 year old dad hasn't even been past Canada and he hated how foreign that was, lol. Soo. What's so great about Virginia!? I lived there for four years (in college) and it ain't no Paris or Switzerland or Grenada or whatever the heck... Maybe they could compromise and move to a pretty place in Connecticut or something.
Nicole seems physically abusive toward Azan and that's not okay. For the millionth time, why are those two together? But it made me uncomfortable to watch those scenes, her shoving him and grabbing him and swinging him around and pushing him up the stairs and blocking his entrance etc. Yikes. Not acceptable. She's clearly the bigger person of the two and she's using her size to throw him around. Not okay.
Other Thailand David with Annie, getting really drunk again. Blech, didn't like seeing/watching that.
I feel like those were my main thoughts. I think Luis should go home. He's not feelin the stepdad role at all and just wants to be young and party.

Here is my two cents about the latest episode.
AzNic: Put a fork in it, its done. Seriously. I agree that her manhandling of him is inappropriate, but so is his passive/aggressive treatment of her. I think he is counting the days until she leaves so he can end this via text. He probably doesn't dare do it in person.
EvDave: Yeah, David is a douche. I would feel sorry for his fiance, except that she is Evelyn.
Annie and David (someone on another site noted him as being Homer Simpson come to life, so from now on he is Homer Simpson to me): Poor Annie. I really think she feels stuck with this old, fat, broke-ass drunk. Shame on everyone involved for encouraging this one. He reminds me of exactly the kind of drunk my dad was. Wants to party all the time, says inappropriate things while drunk, mocks her accent, makes icky comments about their sex life. None of this would matter if she thought it was funny, but she is clearly mortified. He doesn't get it or doesn't care.
Molly and Luis: I just can't imagine what she sees in him. He is not smart, good looking, reliable, any of the things you want in a spouse. Those shots of him in the strip club, he looked so..., I can't event think of a word for it. Can you imagine the images and sounds her daughters must be subjected to around them? YUCK!
Elizabeth and the sister act: I still think a lot of this is scripted. We don't know how much she has changed around Andrei, but she was saying things that made sense. Of course she would consider his feelings about the bachelorette party, and what behaviors he is comfortable with. His input sounded reasonable enough to me.
Aika and Josh: I feel like much of their drama is scripted. I can't believe she did not know about the vasectomy. If she didn't, shame on him for concealing that. He is another loser who can't get a decent woman in the US because of his baggage, so has to go shopping online. I feel sorry for her too, but I think she has more street smarts than Annie and she will land on her feet if and when this ends.

I know. Right? IMDB used to be the place, but this is better than nothing.
Plus, let's not forget that they have no money or jobs, and a big move costs money. He seems to be very immature in his thinking, and Evelyn seems to be more grounded.
Yeah, it was kind of nasty. Annie is pretty much stuck with David.
As well he should, why interrupt an already intact family with this?

Exactly!
LOL. I still don't want Ev to end up with David. She's a bit self-centered, and she should be. The world is her oyster at 18. Why should she be thinking about marriage and the heavy stuff that comes with it?
David has been in Thailand for four years. I don't know how long he dated Annie while he was there, but I'm sure it happened more than a few times with her in Thailand. Annie accepted this behavior during their courtship and moved to the US. Now, she has to lay in her bed and suck it up.
It's the dirty sex that they have. To me, Luis seems like a perv. I wouldn't have him around my children, and I thought this before he made those inappropriate comments to the teen daughter.
N'ah! He's not her husband -- yet. There is no way he can watch her 24/7, so why be so controlling? There needs to be trust in a relationship, and Andre trying to control his wife is not trust.
Yeah, she'll definitely land on her feet.

I agree with johnnieblack about Elizabeth and Andrei, unsurprisingly (because I've always been defending him). It's probably partially scripted. But please, gag me. All their insistence on how oh so important the stupid bachelorette last night to have dudes grind on you...is just plain stupid. Elizabeth even insinuated that's not what she wanted (dancing with random men). [If any of this is true], I also wondered maybe if she was just faking being "woo party!!!" before so she felt she could fit in with her sisters. But deep down she didn't like all that crap and big manly Andrei now gives her an excuse to dodge out of it. Not everyone likes clubbing and staying out late and drinking! I'm one of those people! And, yes, she should take her future husband's opinion into account. Admittedly I did go to Vegas once for a bachelorette party (lol!) but there were some "requests" of what we wouldn't do from the husband. No one thought it was evil. And he's definitely not a controlling type. My friend respecting his wishes just shows the respect/care she had for him, too. I think another element is that he trusted us (the friends), too, which clearly isn't the case with Elizabeth's sisters. Maybe it's just because I see the whole idea of getting slammed and going crazy and gyrating strippers really dumb in the first place.
And yeah, I think sexual chemistry has got to be the only appeal about Luis. And maybe she just sees her clock ticking and wants to be married now, so she's jumping on it. But I feel like he was strongly hinting to her in the car how he hated being at home watching her kids and misses the single life. So, come on. Lol. Just call it off.

I suppose you two are right about Molly and Luis, but I just can't imagine doing the deed with that eyes half masted, slack jawed Dominican Bozo the Clown. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Well hmm. I think he is sexually attracted to her. And she probably liked getting this intense attention and flirtation I'm assuming he'd been giving her in the DR...probably made her feel special and sexy and all that. Who really knows though. And as much as he annoys me, I'm not sure I'd want to be babysitting a kid 24/7 either. DID she tell him that this would be his life? Being a step-dad is one thing, but her live-in nanny is another. So, he needs to bail now.
[Unless they both secretly have an agreement. She agreed to marry him and give him his green card and send money to his family if he'd be her live-in babysitter and her 'man', and now he's getting cold feet, lol]

I think Poetist is right, it's the dirty sex. I could see her being into it. Is it going to last? No, but I think she is getting what she wants for the time being.

But all these claims of true love and all are laughable .... they probably have amazing sex but in reality she just wants to get a husband. I'm not feelin the true love at all, as I'm sure none of us are (as she was trying to sell Olivia).
Speaking of which, Annie's reaction in the sex shop was funny. "You won't even need a man...or a woman..." lol good ol' replacement objects

Annie was great in that scene. So true.
Molly and Luis are in lust. When that cools off, and it always does, they have nothing. Unless they have kids, god forbid.

Kinda seems like it already has cooled off for Luis.............oh well. Let's just hope he does the right thing and doesn't go through with the marriage.
(And him saying his best day so far in America was at that dingy strip club? Seriously? What is everyone's obsession with strippers on this show, lol, from Loren to Libby's sisters to Luis)

Well, strip clubs are a rite of passage from the single life to marriage, so it's not an obsession. Unless, I've been watching too many reality shows. LOL.

They are really not strippers in the classic sense, like Gypsy Rose Lee. Erotic dancers or pole dancers is more accurate. I went to a male stripper/dance show once and that was enough. I'm with Squid, the idea of strange men grinding all up on me in a public place is a big turnoff.

I'm sure Gypsy was reduced to a stripper once the teasing was over and the feathers were removed.
I think it is a turnoff too, but it is a typical thing to do for a bachelorette or bachelor party.
