Discuss 90 Day Fiancé

OK, I thought they were going to continue following the "Before the 90 Days" people, but apparently not.

So, I just tuned in tonight and I already know two of the people who are on this. I didn't remember Molly until she mentioned the show she used to have with her business partner. It was a very uncomfortable show to watch. I think I tuned in for about one, maybe two episodes before I stopped watching.

Then there's Nicole and Azan. This is the first I'm hearing of her daughter. I remember her from being on the show before. She's sweet, but I remember thinking at the time that she really needed to grow up (I know she was young then, so that was part of the problem) and she needed to understand more about his culture. Of course he's not going to be affectionate with her in public. That's not the way his culture is. And I don't think him being here is going to change that. The thing about her story though, is that I remember watching her two or three years ago at least, but she's saying it's only been a year since she met Azan??? Or is it that this stuff is taped a year or more in advance? And from what little I've seen, she still strikes me as someone who needs more maturity. OK, here's my problem with Nicole's family. The mother isn't very different from mine. "You need to grow up. You're not mature enough." But then she doesn't let Niclole grow up and learn what she needs to learn because she's always trying to control what Nicole does. So of course Nicole is going to be emotionally immature and insecure. Her mother is doing more harm than good. And she's so critical. So of course Nicole is ALWAYS going to go on the defensive with her. It's a disaster waiting to happen. And Morocco is not the place for Nicole, but her mother is going to drive her straight to living in that country just so she can get away from her mom. Which means she'll go essentially from one controlling situation to another. NOT GOOD.

The rest I'm waiting to see. Although the girl from Thailand (unless there's someone else I'm thinking of and just confusing her with the girl from Thailand) is reminding me of Anfisa. I hope I'm wrong in this. OK, yep, I'm confusing Annie with the other girl. Sorry about that. Still trying to learn everyone's names since tonight is the first night I've watched this season.

Yep, I'm concerned about David and Annie. David concerns me because he's living WAY beyond his means and just like Jorge, I don't think he's told Annie that he doesn't have any money. Strikes me as another Jorge and Anfisa waiting to happen.

Yup.

It's crazy. Mo knows he's thinking long and hard about that indecent proposal.

Shockingly, I guess the Mo doing porn thing didn't quite register. I'm not sure our man Mo has quite the skills or attributes they are looking for. Maybe in some sort of "naive dude used by experienced lady" scenario.

Say what? It leaped off the page for me.

I think you're right, because he hasn't locked down a sugar mama as far as I know.

Man, just when I thought one of these fools escape getting tied up in matrimony and drops the loser, I find out that Molly didn't escape. She kicked out Luis w/in 90 days, but she already married him.

I don't know what Annie is doing marrying Older -than-48 David, when a declined credit card was card-blocking her from buying a dress.

It tells me that either their entire storyline is scripted and they will eventually "reunite" or it is real and they have split. If he already has a brother in the US, maybe his plan all along? We found out from Lauren and Alexei that sibling visas are very difficult to obtain, but it seems the K1 is easier. Dupe a woman into sponsoring him, then dump her and go live with his brother.

Annie has a "past" according to David. I would bet a lot of money that means sex work. I'm not judging her, because MANY young women in Thailand or trafficked or pressured into sex work, even by their families. If that is the case, even a loser like David would be a better option.

Yeah, I think you might be on to something with that.

Pretty much the word on the street was that Annie was a hooker, so I guess broke David is a better option.

Final thoughts:

Two couples are mutually in love. I don't know if either will last, but at least they have that.

Two couples, the Asian wives, have one spouse in love and the wife settling for her best option. They may last if the best option scenario remains the same.

And then there are the final two. Azan is obviously using Nicole for the money she sends. Hopefully her family will quit bailing her out so that she has no more money to send him. That's when it ends.

I think Luis is attracted to Molly, but he had the brother as his back-up plan all along if things didn't work out. Shame on her for thinking he could just step up and be a father to two kids. Marriage is very different than a vacation fling.

Yeah, I don't know if it is love but it's far from what Annie and Aika have.

Out of the two couples, I think Annie and David will last the longest. By the way, why does Annie have an American name? Was that given to her at her place of employment? I know at the nail salon an Asian lady told me that they use American names so it can be easier for the customers. I don't think Annie did nails in Thailand. It makes me wonder.

And then there are the final two. Azan is obviously using Nicole for the money she sends. Hopefully her family will quit bailing her out so that she has no more money to send him. That's when it ends.

I'm on the fence on the money issue. Definitely, Nic sends too much money to Azan, but she did cost him his job. She kept calling him and wanted him to be at her disposal. Then, there is the aspect that she gets paid for 90 Day, but the foreign half of the couples do not. I do think he deserves some money but not all of her riches. moneybag

I think Luis thinks of Molly as sex on tap and a mommy to take care of him. What possessed Molly to think that he -- a 24 year old -- could be anything more I don't know.

Okay so finally responding. Just, damn. Lol.

Yeah the credit card not working with Annie with the wedding dress was really cringey. Maybe they're both using each other in a way (David and Annie) so he's okay that she lowkey won't stay with him if he never makes money. I mean, I do sort of agree with her in that...most women wouldn't want a broke guy who has to leech off of someone else. But, she clearly doesn't care much beyond that. (But he knows that, I think.) Nikki was right that she is doing it for her family...I think that is why she's doing it.

Nicole was really immature and snappy with her mom on the reunion show. I'm not at all big on the idea of "omg you MUST respect your parents!!" because I had parents that could be extremely demoralizing to my worth as a human being (when I was a kid), so I don't think parents always deserve this free pass of respect, lol. However, Nicole's "mom stooop!! don't!! be quiet" as if her mom was a three year old even made ME cringe. (About how much money she was sending Azan.) And I'm beginning to see more how much the mom lets her get away with and probably kinda spoils her to some extent. And, I honestly don't know what Azan's end game is.

What else. Yeah Aika does just want a sperm donor and she seemed to think vasectomy Josh was a good choice for that. Josh's mom seemed aware of how much not of a prize he was. That was kind of weird but it's nice she wants stuff with Aika to work, I guess.

Andrei and Libby, I'm still on their team and was from the start.

Evelyn and David...see?! On the reunion show without obvious editing he was able to express that he didn't want to talk about sex - ON camera, which is what I could tell they were silencing in the previous episode. And, ew, Evelyn's parents discuss their sex life over coffee with David and Evelyn present? Molly said "Okay that's weird" and I thought she meant the parents, but David was all "Yeah I know, I'm too conservative." No, THEY'RE weird!! The parents! I did think it was weird that David's friend said how this "conservative life" was different from how David used to live. Huh?

Last but not least...wow so wtf Molly? And is Luis lobotomized or what? There's something seriously off about him. I guess he could just be stoned but, he's really weird. johnnieblack, maybe it is scripted (their conflict) because the way he was acting on the show made NO sense. Like sitting on a separate couch...maybe they told him to do that for drama. Molly seemed baffled that he did that. And then he was holding her hand later. Oookay. And then another time when they asked him something, he insisted on hearing her response before he gave any answer. Maybe he was just stoned out of his mind and forgot what act they were supposed to be putting on. But I don't like him at all. Calling Olivia sneaky. And Olivia still seems genuinely upset by his presence. And Molly was shady, too, hiding the marriage from the TLC producers and then playing stupid, all "omg it was like this whirlwind, I don't even remember what I was doing, it's all a blur." Yeah, right. And that could explain why Luis was all like "You really want to do this on camera right now?!" when Molly started confronting him (before the owls). Maybe he thought the marriage certificate would come up because he knew they were BOTH hiding it. Shady people lol. Luis seems very repugnant (not his looks but his overall actions), but Molly is pissing me off, too. She's letting this creeper (who doesn't seem to care about her at all and who openly bashed her own children) stay. The dad might have been right about the green card, if Luis grew cold as soon as they signed the marriage license. And now she's trying to save face and still pretend it's real. I don't understand those two. Kind of like Danielle with Mohammed, I feel like Molly's almost getting what she deserves ...but I feel bad for the kids, Olivia especially (because she's old enough to see and understand all these horrible choices).

And did you see how quick Molly was to turn nasty against Nicole? Isn't that the classic bad debating movie...to deflect something by pointing out how someone else sucks? That showed her true colors a little. I mean, Nicole has done a lot of bad things lol but I didn't like that. When Nicole said how if Azan had been saying all those bad things about May, she'd be upset...and Molly immediately was all sassy like "Now yall makin that comment bout my kids, but you went and took your kid to Mooo-rack-coooew" or whatever

Except Annie won't have any coins to send home so what's the point? The only thing is to get the green card and dump David, and then she can get a job to send money home.

And I'm beginning to see more how much the mom lets her get away with and probably kinda spoils her to some extent. And, I honestly don't know what Azan's end game is.

Yep, the mom is spoiling Nicole. If Nic wants to send money overseas so be it, but she has to live w/o the things the money would have bought for her.

I think Aika wants a green card. If she wanted kids, she would have had them, or she wouldn't have married a man who had a vasectomy.

Andrei and Libby, I'm still on their team and was from the start.

Why do you call her Libby? Is this a nickname I missed hearing on the show?

I did think it was weird that David's friend said how this "conservative life" was different from how David used to live. Huh?

The friend was referencing the sleepy town life in the US in comparison to the city life in Spain.

Last but not least...wow so wtf Molly? And is Luis lobotomized or what? There's something seriously off about him. I guess he could just be stoned but, he's really weird.

I agree.

No, that was just plain odd and I don't think it was scripted. It's too original for that. I believe Luis does whatever his high ass feels, because Molly will be mad but will always take it.

But I don't like him at all. Calling Olivia sneaky. And Olivia still seems genuinely upset by his presence. Yeah, right.

I thought the show was going to come down harder on her for that "little" misstep.
