Discuss 90 Day Fiancé

OK, my original thread is now 6 pages and 70+ replies long. Time for a new one.

Am I the only one who thinks Pao's "music video" is a set up by the show? I was LMAO about the caption for "Musical Artist." The whole production looked very amateurish.

That wasn't the funniest Mo ment though. That would be our man Mohammed's 007 move with his cell phone video.

Was anyone even slightly surprised by Alex's "surprise" visit?

More of the same from PeTel, no comments.

I just don't get these high drama relationships. Some people seek them out. Soooo not me.

I agree, but I think Darcy bit off more than she can chew. Who knew Jesse was a ticking time bomb? I'm sure Darcy just wanted a young stud but instead got a raging lunatic.

You are probably right, as usual. grinning

Oh no, I would love to be right all the time, but that's not always the case. With that said, I hope Darcy clears her head and gets a guy closer to her age or older, who will worship her.

We could hope for that but she is trying to stay young. A younger man is part of that. If it doesn't work with Jesse I think she will find another young one. Hopefully the new one won't be an abuser.

It's okay if she gets someone ten or 12 years younger as long as he's grounded.

Agreed. Darcy is an attractive woman. Too much work done on her face and trying too hard with some of her fashion choices, but she looked great at the tell all.

She should look for someone at least 30.

Did you notice how quick Shawn, the host, left the set? Usually, she lingers with the guests, but I figure she picked up a bad vibe from Jesse and didn't want to be in the crossfire.

No, I missed that. Darcy was talking about them fighting a lot, and her sense of self being chipped away. I hope she watches that video and comes to her senses. This relationship is toxic to her.

Final thoughts on Before the 90 Days:

Karine: run

Sean: It is just so obvious that she likes Chris better. Why are you settling for second choice?

Larry: Listen to your family, this chick is playing you.

Darcy: Break up with Jesse and get a restraining order if he ever tries to contact you again. Then seek therapy.

Patrick: Just go away.

Cortney: You got the biggest surprise of the night. I see what you see in Antonio (besides physical attraction). He has a sense of humor, can laugh at himself (very important) and seems to genuinely like you. I wish we'd seen more of that guy on the show.

@blacknyellowsquid: If Evelyn is so headstrong and comes from a family of strong women, WHY is she choosing a man who doesn't support this and is in actuality the exact opposite?

Because, in her eyes, he's hot, and that clouds her judgment. By the way, her name isn't Evelyn. I think her name is Elizabeth, because Evelyn doesn't have sisters. Evelyn is the 18-year-old religious girl, who sings.

I do not see things going well ever between David and Evelyn's sisters. I see a LOT of fighting between them all and Evelyn getting caught in the middle and them all forcing her to choose. Thing is, I'm not sure in the end, who she'd choose if it does come to that point. And yes, I agree that it was extremely arrogant and very naive for her to think that everyone has the American dream (they might have at one point, but most don't anymore) and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. That's not true though. You're right, MANY people flock to Europe because it's a very good life.

I think you're mixing up stories and names here again.

Yes, it's very clear how spoiled and selfish Abby is. You can see how her brother and her father treat her like a little princess. I think Sean wanted to slap her in the face for the "Fun Fact" comment. But as to the tux thing, can't they just rent tuxes when they get to America? Why do they have to buy them? I thought women bought their dresses, but men always rent the tuxedos.

Annie and David. I am not sure how this is going to work out. Annie already knows he has nothing, so what is it she's hoping for by marrying him? Is it solely for the green card? Does that mean that after she gets it and waits a certain amount of time that she's going to pull a Mohamed and get divorced and disappear for a new life free of him?

I'm scratching my head on that one too.

You're right. Nicole and Azan are completely wrong for each other, and I have a feeling that Nicole does know it but is so stubborn that she's determined to prove to her family that they are right for each other so that they can't say, "I told you so." Because Azan is very unyielding in the belief that she should be an obedient Middle-Eastern wife and do the whole, "Do what I tell you and stop contradicting me." I have to wonder if the only reason he doesn't hit her is because of the cameras. IF they wind up getting married and he moves to America, I see that relationship ending in divorce. If they get married and she moves to Morocco with him? I see her and May miserable for the rest of their lives. I know people here have said that Morocco is really very modern and it's not so strict with the laws regarding women, but Azan IS very rigid and old-world style when it comes to beliefs about men and women. They are not a good combination together. And it's really wrong of both of them to make May call him Dad or Daddy when he's not (yet), and may not be. That will be very confusing and hard on her if the relationship does end without marriage.

I agree with all you said, but I'm not thinking Azan will try to hit Nicole. Did you not see the episode when she shoved him against a car? I felt it. confounded

You're right, I'm getting some of the girls mixed up. The one I'm thinking of is the blonde girl with all the sisters who don't understand why she wants the Moldovan guy. And I'm starting to wonder if she's as headstrong as her sisters think she is. Because between the way the sisters act, and the way the fiancé acts when she's with him (I am watching the episode where she's just landed in Dublin), I think she's the one in the family who gets pushed around by everyone else and that's why she's with the Moldovan guy. He's not so different from her family and it seems she's just used to the way they're all treating her so she doesn't see anything wrong with how he acts either. And I still think that's going to result in fights between him and her sisters. OK, they just showed her name and yes, Elizabeth and Andrei. I understand what she says about moving to Ireland. It's a great country but because she's an American, she would not be able to work there. Would his job there support both of them? I don't think so. So unless she's able to jump through a lot of hoops and fill out LOTS of paperwork, she's not likely to be able to get a job there.

OK, um, WTF!?!?! in regard to Chris asking Annie for a massage!? SERIOUSLY!? He totally made me uncomfortable and I felt really bad for Annie. It's like because he's "allowing" her and David to stay there, he expects her to be his slave. I think he harbors a secret fantasy re: Asian/Thai women from the 80s or something and if not for the fact that this is David's fiancé, I wonder if he'd take other "opportunities" if he could. I couldn't believe his wife just sat there and didn't react or say ANYTHING!!! I don't know. He's starting to creep me out.

David and Evelyn (yep, finally got their names right, lol). Yikes. That was bad tonight. He wasn't very nice to Mikhala (or however her name is spelled) but at the same time, she came in quite aggressive. She is afraid that he's going to take Evelyn away from her as a friend. She's feeling threatened, and he's right, she talks as someone who isn't dating. But at the same time, in some ways, she's trying to put a wedge between them because she wants her friend back to herself. IF they can work this all out in time, things will be OK, but if they can't get past their defenses to at least try and genuinely talk about things, she's going to lose her friendship with Evelyn. And then with the invitations, and she gets so snotty. I understand his frustration. He comes from a very different culture and she's not making any effort to understand it. She's expecting him and his friends and his family to do everything her way. If this isn't a wake up call to him, nothing will be.

Yes, after thinking about it and seeing tonight's episode, you're right. Azan does not seem the type to hit, and after thinking back on the past episodes that were originally aired the first time, I do vaguely remember their fights and how angry she got and how she did physically push him in anger and then walked away. I think for me, my problem with him is the fact that he's Muslim. I'm trying to work past that, but it's hard. At any rate, after watching him tonight, he does seem a good/decent guy and might make a good husband and probably would be a good father to May. But Nicole keeps effing everything up. It's no wonder to me why he can't/won't trust her. She keeps secrets from him and then lets something slip and then she gets frustrated when he (rightfully) gets upset.

Aika. I'm not sure what to think about her yet, but Joe is making me super uncomfortable. I'll tell you something else that makes me uncomfortable. Her blue contacts. They make her eyes look anime creepy. She has beautiful black eyes (in the interview she didn't have the contacts in); she doesn't need to wear those contacts.

Molly and Luis. Geeze. He blew it with Kenseley. That was the wrong way to go about trying to get her to warm up to him as a father figure. He says he has nieces and nephews, but I wonder how much time he spends with them because the way he talked to her? Yeah, I would have shut down and gotten angry/upset if I was her. But I feel bad for him because outside of Molly, no one is treating him with any respect or trying to give him a chance. I understand what his father is saying (in the Skype call) but Luis is right, it's not as easy as his father makes it sound.

That came out of nowhere. Didn't it?

Me either. Her black card gets taken away for that! thumbsdown_tone4

Whether that is true or not, it was not called for and he gave her more reason to not like him.

Oh, Eve's friend will get her revenge, as soon as he says I do. sweat_smile

She's a horndog or a hornbull, who gets extra fiesty when made angry. Did you catch how she told production that's enough? If she stopped screwing up, she doesn't have to hide.

Why should they give him a chance? Molly spent a few days in the DR and stamped him as her future husband. Who wants to invest their time getting to know Luis, when Molly didn't even bother?

Dang last night's episode! I'll just add on my two cents...

First, apparently Nikki (Chris' wife) is saying somewhere (I saw it via reddit) that the Thai massage thing was scripted, that TLC asked him to say that. And that they had to do it several times to make it seem natural, which is why basically no one reacted. (And he did seem to be awkwardly stammering/stuttering saying it). Which is really annoying. It also made me think that the whole thing with Nicole and Azan "let's ask your Aunt if we can sleep in the same room" was probably scripted/staged too for drama.

David and Evelyn. I really don't like either of them, so maybe they deserve each other. Evelyn is completely spoiled and doesn't seem willing to care about David's family/friends at all. I agree her family should help with accommodations. She is obviously used to getting whatever she wants. But David, I might even like him less, as mentioned before. Mikayla might have been harsh, but HE is the one who mentioned that he was aware she had some objections to him. So he started it. And as pointed out, he didn't get up to hug her or anything. He was sh*** to her from the get go, and then opened the door for her to air her objections. And when she started mentioning his age and finances, then he had to hit below the belt saying she seems like someone not dating. And the fact she cried over that shows she probably does have some insecurity about being alone, which makes it even more mean that he said that. I think why I'm harder on him than Evelyn is because of his age! He seems like a bully. Like, ooh, big man, picking on a girl who is almost ten years younger when she calls you out on being a financially unstable creeper letching on to her young best friend. Haha. I can see Mikayla being skeptical if she does truly care about Evelyn. I've been in positions of feeling protective toward my sister when she's had....okay well she had an actual creeper (like, in his 50s when she was in her teens) but my point is...I get being in that position of being the "protector" and then getting crapped on for it because the other person (the dude) knows you're a threat. I'm getting more dramatic here but anyway... I don't like David at all. I feel like he showed his true colors there. They don't seem to be getting along at all. Evelyn needs someone American, closer to her age and maturity level so they can squabble over invites and pancakes and not have to worry about paying for people flying overseas. I get the sense that she's in over her head with him. And while normally it might be fun to see her being knocked off her high horse (which inevitably will have to happen to her in a relationship), the age difference and him being mean-spirited don't make it fun. (Oh, and, I hate to break it to you, David, but it snows in Virginia, too... And he mentioned having friends there already. That seemed suspicious...)

Luis was really annoying me in the scene with Kensley. Don't try to force a little child to accept you as her father when she's known you for like, a week. That just seemed obviously bad to me. She knows who her real dad is and that's what she's sticking to. He should have just let it go. But he kept insisting and forcing her, like "But I WILL marry your mom ,and so I will be your dad"... to the point where she's like "nah I don't love you though." And then he turns into her not "accepting him." Wtf? In my opinion, she accepted Luis instantly, she likes talking to him and playing with him. She just knows he isn't her dad and doesn't see him that way. He shouldn't have tried to force her into that!! He could have said "how do you see me being a step-dad" or a "second dad" or something like that. Maybe it's a cultural thing, I don't know, but it was inappropriate. And Molly seems to like him just out of rebellion or something, like her dad said. Like a rebellious teenager.

Andrei and Elizabeth. I don't have a good read on him yet. He didn't seem AS bad as she was making him out to be. He does seem to like her a lot so I can see why she likes him. But yeah he does seem kind of old-fashioned. I wouldn't mind moving to Ireland lol. And yeah, it would be hard to find a job, but it's kind of hypocritical to expect him to move to America and yet she's not willing to move there to Ireland. He can't have a job in America, either. Why do the Americans always expect the foreigners to give everything up with no qualms and most won't even entertain doing the reverse (except Kyle). Although I wouldn't be keen on going to Moldova, lol....

And Aika might be genuine? She probably did want to go to America as a primary incentive, but Joe probably seems relatively appealing compared to other options looking into the Philippines, so she's going to go for it/him genuinely. And she was calling him out on having been divorced before, like worried he'd drop her too. And she's actually appropriate for his age, too. She's 36 and he looks like 40s or something (I forget). It's not like a 50 year old with a 19 year old ...

Oh and Nicole and Azan. Man, Azan seems so much happier with Mae around. Maybe she's a diversion. But wtf Nicole, taking off her ring to go out with a guy. And she's like "DO you trust ME?!?!" well duh, obviously not?! She said all the "I promise not to do anything like this again" last time too. And she lied about it being girls versus guys. She was really annoying me last night.

I have to disagree. It seems as if she is walking on eggshells when she asked why he overstayed his visit to the US. There is something underneath his surface that is unsettling.

She is too much. She needs to leave these men alone and raise her daughter.

Well, then reddit also dug up that Chris (the one who asked about the massage) has had some fraudulent dealings and was also charged with harassment or intimidation of an ex-, and was accused of almost choking her, etc. So maybe he is creepy after all and did want to say something like that, and Nikki was trying to save face. Who knows!

And yes, you could be right about Andrei! I just don't have a good read on him yet at all. He did seem stubborn, at the very least.

I read the same thing about Chris's creepy proposition, on a gossip site. Can't remember which one. They referenced Nikki's social media which was saying that show producers gave them that line and that they practiced it.
