Discuss 90 Day Fiancé

OK, my original thread is now 6 pages and 70+ replies long. Time for a new one.

Am I the only one who thinks Pao's "music video" is a set up by the show? I was LMAO about the caption for "Musical Artist." The whole production looked very amateurish.

That wasn't the funniest Mo ment though. That would be our man Mohammed's 007 move with his cell phone video.

Was anyone even slightly surprised by Alex's "surprise" visit?

More of the same from PeTel, no comments.

Okay I just watched the reunion. Damn Jesse is scary!! He is so unappealing, just give it up Darcey. When he was standing there at the end all erect and angry and crazed holding the luggage backstage. Staring off. I felt he was using some military training to hold back pummeling her or something. He is so patronizing. And if he gets so easily triggered by someone drinking (alcohol) because he had an alcoholic parent, fine, I can understand that to some level .... but I think she should just give it up. Like she said, she is too old for that, she doesn't need all his psycho triggered baggage lol. He needs therapy or something to work through whatever issues he has. And it seems to me like he picked someone he thought was vulnerable and pliable and easy to control and put down. He probably saw her as a mess and thought he would whip her into shape, into what he wanted, but it's not going as perfectly as he wanted. She is sort of a push-over, but I hope she grows enough of a spine to leave him. It's creepy because he's so tall/big/muscular too.

And that whole Patrick/Mariam thing still confuses me. I mean, WERE they just friends and Patrick conjured up this whole "love of my life" story just to be on the show? And I like how is mom is all "Karma's a bitch! You're playing him!" to Mariam, when, Patrick himself admitted to being a "player" in the past. So perhaps this is HIS karma. how do you like dem apples

The Sean/Abby/Chris thing still makes me cringe. She still just does NOT seem into him and she still seems to be lying. But, whatever, it's his funeral.

Rigid types like him often have explosive tempers. I guess we saw that on the show. I agree, Darcy should bail.

Yup, storyline was concocted for the show, IMO. He is probably looking for another one as we speak.

The Sean/Abby/Chris thing still makes me cringe. She still just does NOT seem into him and she still seems to be lying. But, whatever, it's his funeral.

Interestingly, Abby mentioned that Chris "has a partner." So my impression that she is his side piece is supported. I wonder how long she has been with Chris? She is only 20 now, and it seems like some time. She could have been underage when they first started boinking. Very cringe worthy. Clearly she is settling for Sean. Like you say, its his funeral.

Yeah. It almost sounded like Abby was mad/jealous that Chris had someone else, so she thought she'd reach out to another older American male to make him jealous or to spite him or show him that two could play that game, or that she didn't need him etc... point being, for whatever reason, finding Sean was still related to her relationship to Chris. I could be over-reading into it, but that passed through my mind.

And good point about what her age was when she met Chris. He does seem sleazy. And I feel like she is always hiding something. She always acts dishonest. Good choice, Sean, lol. Why does he keep going on about how she's the best woman in the world for him? I mean why, really, besides him being physically attracted? I don't see much chemistry at all and she always seems bored with him (at best), or annoyed.

I think you are reading it exactly right. I think the relationship with Sean started as an attempt to get Chris to commit, by making him jealous. It didn't work. Sean still doesn't see it. Thinking with his little head, I guess.

I was thinking too, that could explain why she was so relieved he (Sean) was good-looking in real life, off the airplane....well she thought he was even better than his pics. Maybe that would make Chris more jealous. (That and, you know, her knowing she was inevitably going to end up sleeping with him, I guess). I've just never felt genuine vibes from her to Sean. So yeah. He probably was just a ploy to rope Chris in (which didn't work, like you said).

And she keeps saying she's done with Chris...but then she's not...then she's doing business...then she's in his apartment...BUUT now that HE ended it lol, like shutting off her netflix access and clothes supply. That's when suddenly she could more affirmatively tell Sean that it is over. Yeah, over because Chris said it was! Sean has blinders. Maybe he just doesn't care anymore and thinks bringing her to the US will solve all the problems. She still seemed to be defending Chris even when Sean said he wanted to punch him.

Sean may have stated it perfectly when he said that Abby may not have enough life experience to understand what a successful LTR involves. I am inclined to agree. You don't stay friends with your ex boyfriends normally when you get married. Especially when she obviously still has feelings for him.

Well, I was a bridesmaid at my ex-boyfriend's wedding, and for a while, I was friends with both him and his wife. But then she got weird (and not just with me, but with most of our shared friends network) and I just couldn't be around them anymore. She started acting all jealous and that is something I've never understood. I wanted to look at her and say, "Um, I had THREE chances with him before he met you. NONE of them worked. We realized we were better off as friends only. You have NO REASON to be jealous. I do NOT want him!" But there was no point. She was determined to shun me from the group and therefore convinced nearly everyone else to shun me from the group as though I was some sort of weird threat to their new little "Married Only" group. Pathetic.

@blacknyellowsquid: If Evelyn is so headstrong and comes from a family of strong women, WHY is she choosing a man who doesn't support this and is in actuality the exact opposite? I do not see things going well ever between David and Evelyn's sisters. I see a LOT of fighting between them all and Evelyn getting caught in the middle and them all forcing her to choose. Thing is, I'm not sure in the end, who she'd choose if it does come to that point. And yes, I agree that it was extremely arrogant and very naive for her to think that everyone has the American dream (they might have at one point, but most don't anymore) and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. That's not true though. You're right, MANY people flock to Europe because it's a very good life.

Yes, it's very clear how spoiled and selfish Abby is. You can see how her brother and her father treat her like a little princess. I think Sean wanted to slap her in the face for the "Fun Fact" comment. But as to the tux thing, can't they just rent tuxes when they get to America? Why do they have to buy them? I thought women bought their dresses, but men always rent the tuxedos.

Annie and David. I am not sure how this is going to work out. Annie already knows he has nothing, so what is it she's hoping for by marrying him? Is it solely for the green card? Does that mean that after she gets it and waits a certain amount of time that she's going to pull a Mohamed and get divorced and disappear for a new life free of him? I loved his comment when he saw her parents' house about how it wasn't what he expected. Lol, of course it wasn't. He was expecting a straw hut held together by dirt. But her family obviously has money, and that means they expect a big dowry. I did feel bad for the father when he had that disappointed look on his face at having to leave that big water buffalo behind. However, they made the right choice in going for the younger water buffalo who could provide more water buffalo for the family down the line. But where did David come up with 46,000 baht? Or was it 49,000? I can't remember. The point is though, that he didn't have anywhere near that even with the money he borrowed from his friend (at what point is his friend going to put his foot down and say, "No more. Sorry. You want money. Go earn it." And I still want to know how his friend's girlfriend/wife doesn't really have a problem with the situation and the constant money-lending. Most couples I know wind up getting into HUGE fights about things like that.

You're right. Nicole and Azan are completely wrong for each other, and I have a feeling that Nicole does know it but is so stubborn that she's determined to prove to her family that they are right for each other so that they can't say, "I told you so." Because Azan is very unyielding in the belief that she should be an obedient Middle-Eastern wife and do the whole, "Do what I tell you and stop contradicting me." I have to wonder if the only reason he doesn't hit her is because of the cameras. IF they wind up getting married and he moves to America, I see that relationship ending in divorce. If they get married and she moves to Morocco with him? I see her and May miserable for the rest of their lives. I know people here have said that Morocco is really very modern and it's not so strict with the laws regarding women, but Azan IS very rigid and old-world style when it comes to beliefs about men and women. They are not a good combination together. And it's really wrong of both of them to make May call him Dad or Daddy when he's not (yet), and may not be. That will be very confusing and hard on her if the relationship does end without marriage.

Apparently, finally, Aika, the other Asian woman arrives and MAYBE we'll finally get to see her. I'm very curious about that relationship. She's the one who is seeming to be another Anfisa.

I think Darcy is choosing safety. If she confronts him in a way she wants to do, she might not live to tell the tale.

I don't think you are. I think you're spot on with this.

Because, in her eyes, he's hot, and that clouds her judgment. By the way, her name isn't Evelyn. I think her name is Elizabeth, because Evelyn doesn't have sisters. Evelyn is the 18-year-old religious girl, who sings.

I think you're mixing up stories and names here again.

I'm scratching my head on that one too.

I agree with all you said, but I'm not thinking Azan will try to hit Nicole. Did you not see the episode when she shoved him against a car? I felt it. confounded

The one I am worrying about getting hit is Darcy. Jesse is a verbally abusive control freak. Just the type.

I think everyone sees that, but what can she do? I feel as if Jesse believes he is being rejected by her, he will go postal.

She will have to break it off publicly when he returns to The Netherlands. I'm not sure she is ready to do that, though.

I think she is, but there is nothing stopping Jesse from hopping on a plane for a "visit."

Here's a little something to read about the courship of Darcy and Jesse. One thing I want to point out is that the writer of the article, when s/he accuses Darcy of lashing out at fans. She didn't do that at all. I don't know how the author interpreted a post like that but anyway. . .

I just don't get these high drama relationships. Some people seek them out. Soooo not me.
