Justice League Maker Zack Snyder Was Scared That Warner Bros Would Sue Him!
“Here’s the reality. That fandom raised $750,000 for suicide prevention and mental health awareness. They’ve saved lives. That’s a fact. But on the other hand, was it fun to provoke them? For a clickable thing? Yes. And they were an easy target. But they continue to raise money,” he said.
This is the whole qout:"Here’s the reality. That fandom raised $750,000 for suicide prevention and mental health awareness. They’ve saved lives. That’s a fact. But on the other hand, was it fun to provoke them? For a clickable thing? Yes. And they were an easy target. But they continue to raise money. There are not a lot of fan communities whose primary objective, other than seeing work of a guy they like, realized their other main thing was to bring awareness to mental health and suicide prevention. For me, it’s kind of hard to be mad at them.”
OK.
Was it fun to provoke the fans for a clickable thing? No! And the fans were an easy target, but they continue to raise money. Still not right.

Zack Snyder Owns Up to Provoking His Fans for Clicks
In a recent interview with the Sunday Times, Snyder opened up about his approach to interacting with his fans and explained that while he’s very proud of the charity work that’s come out of the group, he recognizes how he played on their emotions for clicks and hype.
“They’ve saved lives,” he said, referring to money raised for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. “That’s a fact. But on the other hand, was it fun to provoke them? For a clickable thing? Yes. And they were an easy target. But they continue to raise money.”
Like most online movements, there was no way for well-meaning Snyder fans to police their more vitriolic peers who felt compelled to tell people to kill themselves (among other wild, troll-y things). But these are the sorts of things that individuals like Snyder, who are in unique positions of power in regards to these massive fandoms, have to take into consideration when they decide to capitalize on the fandoms’ energy for any given purpose.
Though Snyder stoking his fandom’s flames led to charity, it’s important to keep in mind that it was also a drawn-out advertising stunt meant to help will an unfinished film into existence years after its original incarnation bombed at the box office. As is usually the case with stunts, there were unintended consequences—in this case, ugly harassment—that Snyder has to own also if he wants to take credit for the good that’s come out of his work.
Zack Snyder Says Warner Bros 'Tortured Me' Over His Justice League Cut
While talking with Uproxx, he explained, "It was cool to do the Snyder Cut of Justice League and that was fun and everything. But Warner Bros. still tortured me the whole time for whatever reason, they can’t help it. I don’t know why I’m such a f*cking pain in their a*ss because I’m not trying to be, honestly."
These are not new sentiments from Snyder, and when he was asked whether him being vocal about his treatment from Warner Bros. might deter other studios from being on the "receiving end" of his complaints, he replied, "Well, I just don’t know who would ever end up on the other end? If you analyze what’s happened with Warner Bros., it’s not a normal situation. It’s a once-in-a-generation bizarro situation! I just had an amazing experience with Netflix and it was awesome and we had a great partnership and an incredibly great experience. So the only thing I would say is that it’s an unusual situation."
When told by the interviewer that they simply wanted to see Snyder avoid getting into any trouble, Snyder replied, "No, I agree. I don’t want to get in trouble either, but I’m not going to sit here and let them act like that and not… Look, they’re the ones that have been aggressive, not me. I haven’t done anything. Every day they’d turn around and do some weird passive-aggressive thing. So, I don’t know. It’s weird. But look, like I say, I had a great time making Justice League. I’m super glad I got to finish it."

Maybe ZS wants WB to know he suffers from amnesia. He just said that he did everything they told him not to do. He even said that he shoots his version of the movie too. So he’s more than a freaking pain in the arse. He costs WB money and everybody extra work.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League flies into third week atop the Official Film Chart Zack Snyder’s Justice League scoops a third consecutive week at Number 1 on the UK’s Official Film Chart. On digital downloads only the bumper four-hour cut of the film still holds off close competition from DCEU sister film Wonder Woman 1984 (2) for another chart-topping week.
ZS fans claimed that ZSJL is a global success and more successful than WW84. I don’t think they still think that. No ZSJL report last week. That’s because The Little Things debuted at #1 while WW84 is still #2 and ZSJL went from #1 to #3 in its fourth week. I can’t believe WW84 is still on top after ten weeks.

If my multiracial nipples were overly sensitive, I’d be yelling racist. But I’m just going to ask why Cyborg, the only black JL member, is left out. WW has no business in a boy band, even though she tends to forget she’s a woman and sit like a guy with her legs open.
SUPERMAN - BLACK SUIT – Limited Edition of 1,000 – Price $899.00 (excludes applicable taxes)
It does look like HC. But $899? Are you kidding me? Who has that kind of green to spend on a figurine? Even if I had a sugar daddy, I won’t buy that. Some of that money does go to WB, right?
We’ve spoken about Twelve Monkeys in the past, and the most challenging moment you faced on that film. Was there an equivalent moment for you and the DC Universe?
It was more than a moment. It was just the entire circumstance that went from Zack leaving the project because of the family issues that he had and everything surrounding that. But that was just the tip of the iceberg. Let’s just say it was more than a tip, because when your director leaves a movie that he has shot before the additional photography is being done, I don’t want to call that a tip. Maybe it’s actually what’s below the water, which is a lot bigger than the tip of the iceberg. We weren’t only facing that and how the additional photography was going to reconceive the tone of the movie and some of the story arc of the movie. We also were dealing with the fact that Gal [Gadot] had also just finished a back surgery because she had just hurt her back on Wonder Woman and on some of the principal photography of Justice League. She had just finished her back surgery and couldn’t travel. We wanted to shoot as much of the additional photography in the U.K., but we couldn’t do it all because we needed Gal for it.
Also the fact that we were dealing with very complicated scenes. They were so complicated in terms of their structure and the additional shooting issues, and of course we also had the fact that we were hoping for Henry to shave his beard. [Editor’s note: Paramount famously did not grant Henry Cavill permission to shave his Mission: Impossible – Fallout facial hair during reshoots for Justice League, resulting in Justice League digitally removing his mustache in post-production.] We were very worried that we weren’t going to be able to accomplish that in a way that wasn’t visible. And in fact we were right to be worried about that. To open a movie with your Superman and have his face look funny – I wouldn’t say that was one of the great decisions that were made. But it was a decision that was made because of many other things, as opposed to protecting the movie. It was a decision that was made to protect a release date, all of the promotional partners who were tied into that release date, all of the theaters that had booked things around that release date. The fact that Imax was tied into that, that it was Christmas, that it would mean a lot of revenue for Warner Bros. at that particular time. They had no big, huge Christmas blockbuster to replace it with.
There was also a bonus that WB execs didn’t want to lose.
It does look like HC. But $899? Are you kidding me? Who has that kind of green to spend on a figurine? Even if I had a sugar daddy, I won’t buy that. Some of that money does go to WB, right?
SM belongs to DC comics. WB has the exclusive rights to adapt DC comics into films and series. I don't know if they have exclusive rights to make toys, figurines etc. too.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League Blu-Ray Trailer Left Unlisted By Warner Bros
Warner Bros. has left the trailer for the Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League unlisted on their official YouTube channel.
For those unfamiliar with the inner workings of YouTube, videos can be made public, private, or unlisted, the latter meaning it can only be watched if other people share it—the video does not show up via the algorithm, feeds, or notification bells. The video was posted over two weeks ago and has garnered a little over 80k views thanks to Snyder-Verse loyalists.
If it wasn’t obvious before, WB never making this trailer public is a clear indicator that executives want people to forget about the Snyder Cut. It’s worth noting that the same YouTube account posted a public trailer for the Blu-ray and 4K release of Josstice League not long after the premiere of Snyder’s Justice League, a move that was met with harsh criticism.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League easily took the top spot on both the NPD VideoScan First Alert chart, which tracks combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc unit sales, and the dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart the week ended Sept. 11.
The four-hour director’s cut of the 2017 superhero team-up Justice League, distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, outsold the No. 2 title by a 5-to-1 margin.
Blu-ray Disc formats accounted for 75% of Zack Snyder’s Justice League first-week unit sales, with 38% of its total tally coming specifically from 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray (meaning 37% was regular Blu-ray and 25% was DVD).
A trilogy collection of all three of Snyder’s DC films was No. 14 on the Blu-ray Disc chart.
The previous week’s top overall disc seller, Warner’s The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, dropped to No. 2 on the overall chart. The third “Conjuring” movie was down one spot on the Blu-ray Disc chart to No. 4.
Lionsgate’s Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard was the No. 3 overall disc seller and the No. 2 Blu-ray.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League easily took the top spot on both the NPD VideoScan First Alert chart, which tracks combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc unit sales, and the dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart the week ended Sept. 11.
The ZS stans were waiting for this so they can unsubcribe HBOM.
As much as I like to see HC and JM shirtless, I won’t buy it. WB won’t get a penny from me. There are ways to watch for free and in HD.

They seem to love ZS in the UK. The UK Official Film Chart Top 40 was very quick to report that ZSJL debuted at #1 too.
