RF finally tells his truth. Is very long. So no summary this time.

Hollywood Reporter: Ray Fisher Opens Up About 'Justice League,' Joss Whedon and Warners: "I Don't Believe Some of These People Are Fit for Leadership"

By late June 2020, Fisher went public with his dissatisfaction at what he viewed as Warners' inaction. For their part, Warners sources contend that Fisher was being manipulated by Snyder, who hoped to reclaim control of the DC film universe.

Snyder denies any role in influencing Fisher.

I don’t think ZS is manipulating RF, but he instigates his fans to do his dirty work for him.

So WB seems aware of what ZS’ doing.

Tweeting footage of himself praising Whedon at Comic-Con in 2017, Fisher wrote, "I'd like to take a moment to forcefully retract every bit of this statement." (His earlier words had been based on studio-supplied talking points, he says.)

Remember we were talking about HC saying nice things about JW’s take on SM? I wonder if the studio told him to say nice things. BA also said some things about ZS’ take that weren’t really… positive. I wonder if he had to do that to make JW look good.

Other sources on the project say Whedon was similarly dismissive of Gadot and Momoa when they questioned new lines.

Did EM complain about his lines? I can’t remember. HC had few lines and scenes in both version. The awful CGI scene in JWJL wasn’t bad. The kids talking to SM was cute. The CGI department did an awful job. But GG had that stupid “children, I work with children” line and the scene where Fl fell on top of her.

The viral onscreen moment that changed everything, huh? Shame that it had to make BM an idiot to achieve that.

DC Ccomics

But try to put that aside and just imagine the trauma of seeing your parents gunned down when you’re a young boy.

When the moment is reimagined during the introduction of Batman v Superman, Thomas Wayne quietly says “Martha” as he bleeds out on the floor. Consider the significance of this—Superman wasn’t just saying the name of Batman’s mother, he was saying Thomas Wayne’s last words. One has to wonder, can Bruce hear someone say the name “Martha” without flashing back to his father’s last breath?

Flashforward to the present (or 2016) and Batman has lost sight of his original purpose. He’s still saving people, but he’s clearly shed a great deal of his humanity. He’s branding criminals and has left Wayne Manor in shambles. Batman’s war on crime has shattered Bruce Wayne’s psyche. As a result, he sees Superman as a threat and decides to go after him. The Dark Knight prepares for the fight, but when it’s time to go in for the kill, Superman stops him by saying, “You’re letting them kill Martha!” and “Save Martha!”

So, if you’re Batman, you’ve witnessed the murder of your parents as a young boy and heard your father say “Martha” as he bled out. You’ve relived that moment in your nightmares for years, carrying it with you. You’ve often wondered if you could have done anything differently. Could you have saved your parents? You don’t talk about this to others, but you’ve silently carried this burden. Then in a tense battle, your enemy says “Save Martha” seemingly out of context. Let’s be real, if you were Batman, you would angrily shout, “Why did you say that name?!?” too.

Jesus, I’m bored. For the trillion times, everybody knows all that. That’s not the problem. The problem with that piece of story is that it relies on turning one of the smartest heroes into a dumb idiot.

That piece of story would have been perfect, if nobody else knew SM’s real identity and story. But Lex and LL knew. So why couldn't BM know that too? Detective work is one of the things that he does. He had 18 months. He’s smart, has money, satellites and all kinds of high tech gadgets. Come on!

The writers of MOS made a big mistake by letting LL find out SM’s address so easily. SM used a fake identity to work on the weird object buried for 20,000 years in ice, but somehow, by talking to some of the other workers, LL ended up on a trail that led her to MK’s front door.

BM had more clues than LL. He follows the news. He knows that Lois Lane from the Daily Planet knows who SM is. If Lex could find out she’s SM’s gf, then so can BM. If Lex could find out MK is SM’s mom, then so can BM. It is unacceptable to make BM incompetent just because it’s necessary for the Martha moment to work. If BM can’t find out who SM is, then he should retire.

I mean, it can’t get easier. By following the news, BM knows that the aliens fought SM in or near Smallville. Why there? Some of the urban legends that led LL to MK’s front door would have led BM to MK’s front door too. I assume that BM’s satellites would show that an alien ship landed at a certain farm in or near Smallville too.

To make matters worse, in BvS, I see BM do things to find out what puny Lex is up to. He finds out what the White Portuguese is and as bonus that metahumans exist. After seeing that, I’m supposed to believe that he didn’t do anything to find out anything about his most powerful enemy and Earth’s biggest threat. Even when BM has lost his way, which is being used as excuse for him being reckless, knowing his enemy is the key to success. The writers made BM dumb and reckless, but they didn’t make him suicidal. So smart/well informed vs almighty.

BM has never fought something like SM before. Another reason to investigate and Smallville is a good place to start. But instead of doing that, BM blindly believes that green-K would affect the cells of a living Kryptonian the same way it affects the cells of a dead one. Since when do we know so much about Kryptonians? And I think that info comes from Lex, his biggest enemy. So what if it doesn’t affect a living Kryptonian? You must have some other alien weapon or you shouldn’t antagonize the alien that could kill everybody if he wants to.

Justice League Screenwriter Chris Terrio Is Super Pissed Off

The Argo Oscar winner is tired of being hated by the haters—and he despises what happened to his DC films too.

Chris Terrio is not pulling his punches anymore. For five years the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Argo kept his mouth shut about his work on the DC films Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, even as scorn from critics and fans exacerbated already-painful behind-the-scenes memories. Worst of all, he agreed with many of their complaints.

He described the films that Warner Bros. released to theaters in 2016 and 2017 as incoherent misfires, undermined by corporate meddling, poor franchise planning, and tone-deaf decisions that prioritized costly VFX sequences over coherent storytelling. Terrio believes that Zack Snyder’s director’s cuts of both are much stronger, if still imperfect movies—an overall vindication of their work together.

“[It] wasn’t called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice by me.... It just sounds self-important and clueless in a way.”

“I’ve been working with the director to bring a voice of conscience and sanity to the almost perversely dark film you’ve been developing for years, but I’m the problem here?”

“I’ve never met Joss. I don’t know him. I did reach out to him at the beginning of the process...but I didn’t hear back.”

@Blue-Rose said:

That would have been cool. MM looks awesome too, but it should have been a whole new character.

Some weird things happen in ZSJL.

  1. WW can’t fly.
  2. WW can’t turn things invisible.
  3. WW didn’t use the lasso to let BM see what happened between Darkseid and Earth’s heroes.
  4. WW jumps into the cave and her stilettos don’t break.
  5. SM comes back from the dead and knows he has freeze breath/super breath.
  6. MK knows that SM’s at the farm. How? Who had a phone?
  7. Steppenwolf appears to Lex. Why?
  8. BM’s superpower is dreaming about things that will really happen in the future. He dreamed about the future in BvS too.
  9. The 20,000 yo Kryptonian scout ship can see what will happen in the future. That’s the same future in BM's dreams.
  10. Humans bury the MB in a shallow hole.

ZS thinks that everybody is a comic book reader. “The Anti-Life is found, DeSaad. And we will stop at nothing to possess it.” But according to ZS, the fight for power on Apokolips thousands of years ago stopped Darkseid from possessing the ALE. But with the ALE, he’ll rule the multiverse. Fight for power on Apokolips is a waste of time. He should have looked for a way to get the ALE before the humans or some other alien race find it.

Swanwick shouldn’t be MM. The new MM should have come to Earth to warn JL that word around Orion is that Darkseid is coming for the ALE.

Swanwick knows SM and LL. When did he meet BM or Bruce Wayne? How did he know that BM put the team together?

I don’t like JW, but I’d have cut most of those scenes too.

POC’s wouldn’t be cut if ZS gave them important roles.

Off the top of my head, MOS had Perry White, General Swanwick and a female Asian-looking Kryptonian. Carrie Farris is played by Lebanese actress Christina Wren. Also, when SM and Zod are fighting, each time the camera shows the crowd, it’s full of POCs as extras.

In BvS, something else happens. Africans were terrorists in BvS. CK goes to a ghetto and the people there are black. The pimp/human smuggler is a Latino. The women capture to be (sex) slaves are Asians. The prisoner who has to kill the pimp/human smuggler is black. Lots of stereotypical roles.

In ZSJL, Cb is black and he’s not adopted in the comics. So one or both parents must be black. I think that Fl’s gf is also a POC in the comics. So it’d be weird to change these characters. But some POCs are added in insignificant roles. The police commander in WW’s hostage scene is black. Commissioner Gordon talks to a black police officer. The Amazon that first touches the MB when it wakes up is black.

If I don’t tell you I’m biracial, you’d probably think I’m white. So maybe some important characters are like me. rolling_eyes

JW rewrote ZSJL and many of those scenes didn’t fit in JWJL. I won’t rewrite ZSJL. I’ll cut them because they’re not necessary.

Cut BM and Alfred in the helicopter/plane and cut AM and Nuidis Vulko. AM has his mom trident in BvS.

If it’s any consolation, I’d have cut WW’s hostage scene and tea with Alfred. I’d have cut AM saving the sinking boat and women singing. Is a JL film. Single members won’t save anything on their own.

Those were just added to let the heroine and hero show what they can do. The WW scene was really cool, though. But the film already has five action scenes.

  1. Amazons v Steppenwolf
  2. Atlanteans v Steppenwolf
  3. JL rescue kidnapped scientists
  4. SM v JL
  5. JL v Steppenwolf

ZS could include a little more about Apokolips, though. A scene where DeSaad reminds Darkseid how he lost Earth among a trillion worlds.

It makes more sense than saving hostages or a sinking boat. But that’s not the biggest problem, Blue. The problem that you pointed out is the biggest problem in ZSJL. Once more, the most important thing in ZS’ film is completely BS. rofl

BvS has the Martha moment. In ZSJL, the film starts with the biggest BS. The important thing is SM screaming and dying. The MB’s wake up and call Steppenwolf bc SM has died. The MB didn’t call Steppenwolf when Silas woke it to create Cb bc SM was alive. SM was 33 in MOS + 18 months after the Kryptonian invasion. The MB’s have been on Earth for thousands of years. MOS, WW17 etc. all showed that Earth’s heroes were no longer around. So what kept the MB’s from calling Steppenwolf?

We need to come up with a name for this. Scream moment? Mother Box wake up moment? Box awaken moment? thinking

If the Krypton show was passionate about doing “nontraditional casting”, then why did GJ’s dumb arse care about what fans want? And was that crappy show even part of the DCEU? Traditional casting would be casting someone like Cameron Cuffe. Guess what? They cast Cameron Cuffe.

The ZS fans don’t understand that BM should have known that MK is SM’s mom before they fought. ZS and CT’s dumb arse let BM just brand criminals for 18 months while there’s a powerful alien flying around. An alien that he considers a huge threat and hopes to kill. LL and Lex don’t consider SM a threat to humanity and they know everything about him. BTW, if memory serves, I think Lex just hates the idea that a being can be all good and all mighty at the same time. He can be one, not both.

Jesus, I’m bored. For the trillion times, everybody knows all that.

Trillion has become a popular number to use. laughing

Inside ‘Justice League’ with the Cinematographer Who Shot and Fought for Zack Snyder’s Version

Cinematographer Fabian Wagner was one of the first crew or cast members to publicly speak out against Joss Whedon’s version of “Justice League,” which was theatrically released in 2017. The German DP lent early credence to the #ReleasetheSnyderCut movement’s fervent belief that they’d been lied to; that the theatrical version was not Warner Bros./DC and Whedon carrying out Zack Snyder’s vision, after the director stepped away following a family tragedy. Wagner was one of the first to clearly and publicly state that Whedon rewrote and reshot most of the movie, throwing out “90 percent” of the original material. (Jean-Philippe Gossart is credited as both the second unit director of photography and additional director of photography on “Justice League.)

“If there is a Snyder cut, I hope it’s better than the one that is out now,” said the cinematographer in the summer of 2019, adding he cried when he saw the theatrical version.

Koimoi: Zack Snyder said, “I’m very sad that I didn’t push harder to set up the Cyborg movie before we shot Justice League because I’d done a lot of work to set up Wonder Woman and Aquaman and to get those movies on their feet. And I really wish I had done that with Cyborg because he’s really on his feet at the end of the movie. He’s really ready to go. And I just thought, well, the truth is I just assumed that it was a no brainer that a Cyborg movie would be in the works. You know what I mean? It seems like so obvious.”

Unbelievable. Does ZS really expect me to believe that? No brainer? It was obvious? Since when is it obvious that black people get anything in Hollywood? He worked hard for those that aren’t black, because that’s the obvious thing to do. He behaved as expected and like many before him.

If you’re white, you’re right. If you’re brown, you can hang around. But if you’re black, stand back. I’m not American, but American geeks wrote that. I hope I got it right. So let’s guess in which category RF, JM and GG falls.

That BS is so deeply engraved in some Americans that they aren’t even aware of it. ZS seems to be such an American. He thought it was obvious that a black hero would get a solo film. Don’t make me laugh. It’s normal for his white arse to automatically ignore the black and pay attention to those that aren’t black. Now he feels guilty because RF is the only one who’s enthusiastic about his vision.

But that’s not the biggest problem, Blue. The problem that you pointed out is the biggest problem in ZSJL.

Well, I’ll be damned. rofl

We need to come up with a name for this.

Justice League Trailer Calls Snyder Cut The End Of The DCEU Trilogy

Zack Snyder's Justice League completes the director's trilogy according to a new trailer from HBO Max. Thanks to the new streaming platform, the much-clamored Snyder Cut was finally released years after its theatrical counterpart premiered. However, for those hoping that there's going to be more from the filmmaker's vision for the DC superhero franchise, chances of that happening is very currently slim.

Even before the Snyder Cut was released, the director has been upfront with his fans saying that there's no interest to continue his DCEU plan past the recently-released four-hour version of Justice League.

HBOM: Zack Snyder’s Justice League | Trilogy Trailer | HBO Max
Their time spent in hiding is over. Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) must stand together to save the world.
Stream Zack Snyder’s Trilogy on HBO Max.

This new clip from the streaming platform checks out with those comments, as well as, other separate ones from executives of the studio when asked about any potential future for Snyder's DCEU.

Still, given how Zack Snyder's Justice League's ending obviously sets up a sequel, fans are hoping that Justice League 2 and 3 will be eventually greenlit. One look at the comments section for the aforementioned trailer on YouTube and it's full of #RestoretheSnyderVerse comments.

Odd timing. Snyder tweeted the day before to expect AOTD’s trailer the next day. He started the promo of his Zombie-verse. So he'll be asked about #RestoreTheSnyderVerse. It looks like HBOM already gave them the answer with that trailer.

  1. The Knightmare Cliffhanger Was Interesting But Ultimately Unrewarding

I think it’s pretty much game over for BM and allies when SM appears. You can’t hurt him or run away from him. He has speed and his heat vision can reach you from far away. So I’m not sure how they can fight him.

BM and Joker don’t have superpowers. Deathstroke has some powers. But according to the geeks, he should stay in things like Suicide Squad and Green Arrow. A stupid parademon managed to shoot Fl. If it wasn’t for AM, Steppenwolf would have killed Mera. Steppenwolf also almost killed Cb. We all saw that Steppenwolf is no match for SM. So the nightmare should remain a nightmare that BM has, because it would be pretty lame if it’s real.

'MORTAL KOMBAT' ANNIHILATES THE 'SNYDER CUT' ON HBO MAX

Mortal Kombat absolutely annihilates Zack Snyder's Justice League in terms of the number of premier views on HBO Max, where the "Snyder Cut" still remains the lowest watched movie on the streaming service.

Mortal Kombat is said to have been watched by 3.8 million U.S. households in its opening weekend on HBO Max, while the Snyder Cut was only watched by 1.8 million.

Samba TV

Opening weekend Friday–Sunday

  1. 3.8M – Mortal Kombat
  2. 2.6M – Godzilla v Kong (3.6 mil Wednesday-Sunday)
  3. 2.2M – Wonder Woman 1984
  4. 1.8M – Zack Snyder’s Justice League
  5. 1.4M – The Little Things
  6. 1.2M – Tom & Jerry

The movie based on the popular video game franchise also obliterated Wonder Woman 1984, as WW84 was watched by 2.2 million households, and Mortal Kombat even stomped out Godzilla vs Kong's reported 3.6 million households.

Regarding why the Snyder Cut didn't do all that well on HBO Max, it probably didn't help that it was released as a four-hour-long movie, as my normie friends have told me they haven't watched it all the way through.

It also is beginning to seem the campaign to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse really isn't as big as thought, as again, the numbers for the Snyder Cut on HBO Max seem really low.

I'll also add it probably didn't help that Zack Snyder insulted the fanbase when he went on the Geeks + Gamers YouTube channel who raised over 100k for his charity, and it definitely didn't help when Snyder revealed his Justice League sequel plans, which are simply atrocious.

OMG, what a stupid way to introduce Iris. Nobody mentions her name. How does anybody know she's Iris? If another actress plays Iris in the Flash film, we'll never know that the girl in the car accident in ZSJL was Iris. These fools get paid a lot of money for nonsense like this.
