While I am not a big fan of Zack Snyder's continuing dark tone for the Justice League universe, the circumstances of him stepping down from JL is quite sad.
As a big fan of Joss Whedon, it would be interesting to see how future JL movies will turn out to be if he leads them. More interesting is how HC's Superman would be treated in the future... Maybe less dark? It would be nice to see a bit more colour and light in the DC films.

There had been several articles I read already mentioning Whedon's growing changes for JL. Elfman's story is just another piece of the puzzle. Others I've read involved actors or actresses expected to show up in the movie, only to find their entire parts written out.
Whedon also has a reputation of working on a movie up to the last minute. I think the story I read about the first Avengers movie was that he was continuing on working on it until days before it was due to come out.

Well, it will be easy to tell once the movie comes out, because we all know what crap Snyder makes.

Will Ben Effen Affleck's escapes with unconsenting women affect the premiere of JL? There's the TRL chick and now this lady.

I do believe his brother, Casey, had some problems too.
Personally, I don't think it would affect the premiere. Bryan Singer's escapades didn't stop people from watching X-Men: Days of Future Past which did very well, despite the news against Singer.
What would kill the movie is superhero fatigue or if Whedon couldn't what he was hired to fix -- Snyder's tendency to make his movies too dark or angsty. Personally, I liked BvS, but a lot of people didn't. So those who got turned off by BvS may not like JL if it's of the same tone and style.

I guess everyone is turning on Snyder. Here is Ben's statement.
Ben Affleck says Joss Whedon [finally] brought good taste to the franchise
Joss just brought to the movie what good directors bring, which is good taste. A sense of what's gonna work in the story and what isn't. An instinct for realism and for finding the humanity in the characters and the humanity in the conflict, then making it accessible and relevant. I think that's one of the things he did so well with Avengers, frankly. He really defined the tone, and it felt like a lot of the movies after that sort of fell into that tone that he created. It was a very tricky dance where you have all these people who can do all these fantastic things that's completely absurd on the face of it, and yet, a good storyteller like Joss brings us in, makes us identify with them, makes them seem real, and makes it interesting. A lot of guys know the comic books, a lot of people have that knowledge base. What Joss really has is talent.

As JL is not so far away and the stars are in full gear promoting it, I wonder if either Snyder or Whedon, or both of them would show up in the promotion rounds or even the premiere. In the past, the DC directors for the movies were around with the stars promoting the film as in the case of Snyder for MOS and BvS, Ayer for Suicide Squad and Jenkins for Wonder Woman. It would be interesting to see both Snyder or Whedon together.
Whedon recently gave warm reviews for Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok that so far has been getting great reviews, which surprised me because I thought DC/WB wouldn’t allow him commenting about movies from Marvel, especially around this time. But I suppose Whedon has always been a big comic book genre geek so he’d praise or critique whatever comic book movie it is regardless of which studio produced it.

Might be interesting but it will never happen. Synder washed his hands of DC, at least for now.

So far it’s ZS’s wife, Deb Snyder, who has appeared with Ben Affleck and C Roven to discuss Whedon’s involvement.

It's interesting. As the producer, she still has a stake in the project, and I'm sure ZS as well. His wife probably came to speak up for her husband, who has been trashed by Affleck, Cavill, and WB.
With that said, I think attaching Zack to WW's success is a little reaching.

Personally, I didn’t think Affleck ‘trashed’ ZS. He was complimentary on what the two directors (ZS and Whedon) brought into the movie. But yes, Deb Snyder and Roven both have stakes in the movie as they are both producers for the movie.
As for Wonder Woman’s success — well, the Snyders did choose Gadot, and ZS did contribute to the script. I also thought they were exec producers for Wonder Woman.

I think you're right, after seeing an interview from Ben Affleck.

Zack Snyder and his wife turns out to be still around in the DCEU. As stated here in Deadline, they are among the executive producers for the Wonder Woman sequel.

Kind of makes me wonder if they would be involved in any other future DCEU movies (MOS 2? Green Lantern Corps), if they ever get made.

Keep in mind, most of these guys, with the exception of Gal, were signed on as producers YEARS before Wonder Woman ever saw the light. Since only a few films get made a year, it adds to the wait time for a lot of these projects, if they ever see the light. With that said, I think the odds are pretty high that Synder might be signed on as a producer for another DC project.

It seems as if Snyder isn't going anywhere, and he's no real great talent.
