Zack Snyder steps down from Justice League

While I am not a big fan of Zack Snyder's continuing dark tone for the Justice League universe, the circumstances of him stepping down from JL is quite sad.
As a big fan of Joss Whedon, it would be interesting to see how future JL movies will turn out to be if he leads them. More interesting is how HC's Superman would be treated in the future... Maybe less dark? It would be nice to see a bit more colour and light in the DC films.

Anyone know which daughter Autumn is? I know he had 4 kids with his ex and she's one of them. I've seen a family pic, just don't know which one.

Autumn is his daughter from his first wife based on this article (or others). I was surprised to learn he has 8 kids from 3 different women, although his last two with Deborah are adopted. I always thought Deborah was his only wife.

Maybe now that he's had a taste of real-life darkness, he'll try to brighten some of his work up. No disrespect intended and RIP to his daughter.
Honestly, Batman v Superman doesn't seem that bad to me, from the glimpses I've caught of it.

Don't get your hopes up too high. The film is shot, and Whedon is doing final touchups w/a few scenes added/deleted.

I think the sloppy article got it wrong, and it's actually one of his adopted daughters. All the reporter had to do was a little social media snooping, my goodness.

Yes, I read about this. He is only doing a few re-shot scenes, and everyone is emphasising that the tone has already been set by Snyder. However, I am thinking along the lines of any future Justice League movies (there was supposed to be a second one), and other movies in the DC universe. There is news that Joss Whedon will be directing another Catwoman (or Batgirl?) movie.

I'm not sure. Every single article I saw (including some obituary) mentioned Denise Weber (Snyder's first wife) as her mother. It's always possible that Snyder's first wife is Asian. However, it takes only one news outlet/online news to get something wrong, then other outlets just copy over the same mistake over and over because no one fact checks anymore.

I believe it's the Asian daughter, because there was a tweet by Snyder mentioning his daughter Autumn's charity drive. That's why I'm certain it's her.

Definitely agree it was the Asian daughter, but it's not clear to me whether she is one of the adopted children or not. Some articles mentioned her mother is Snyder's first wife, but others don't mention anything about her mother, or mention anything if she was adopted or not. Either way, she seemed to be a very talented girl who had a generous heart. It's really sad she chose to end her life at such a young age.

The people who write these articles are sloppy. Who knows which wife adopted her w/Zach? What I do know is that she is adopted, because Zach's wives, Denise and Deborah, are both white. He was married to Denise for 21 years and they have four children, and I don't know how the baby-mama factors into the timeline.

Yeah this is all very sad. I really was disappointed that Zack was dropping out of directing The Justice League. But I hope that Zack gets the time he needs to recuperate from the loss of his daughter.

New director is making some changes with the score (he dropped Zach's guy and brought in his own man) and ordering a lot of big set pieces. Some people think that means major changes, but I don't see it.

It usually doesn't. Sometimes if an actor is recast they do so to fit the story. Maybe he couldn't play a hero
