While I am not a big fan of Zack Snyder's continuing dark tone for the Justice League universe, the circumstances of him stepping down from JL is quite sad.
As a big fan of Joss Whedon, it would be interesting to see how future JL movies will turn out to be if he leads them. More interesting is how HC's Superman would be treated in the future... Maybe less dark? It would be nice to see a bit more colour and light in the DC films.

I read somewhere that the reason Superman has not been included in the trailer is because he will be one of the main villains in the movie. Makes sense, as to why they are not revealing any hint of him at this point.

He couldn't be much of a villain, because he had a lot of time off while filming JL.

Poetist, how much of Henry will be in the JL movie you think? As in, how many minutes?

This is just a guess, but I'll say no more than ten minutes. He'll probably get 2 more minutes with the Whedon version.

Poetist, that's my fear. As soon as I saw what happened to him at the end of BvS, I immediately thought, "He BETTER NOT BE in only the last 5 min of the next movie!" 🙁

That's exactly where he'll be!
I suspect they will show him rolling around in his grave or something equivalent to that, but I already see they are highlighting Wonder Woman in this trailer. The success of WW guarantees that the studio will want to see her more in this film than it was originally planned. I know Whedon's main job was to tack on some scenes for WW.

If true, it's sooooooo disappointing! 🙁
I really enjoyed WW and was hoping for A LOT of scenes between Henry and Gal. Further going down the rabbit hole, in some alternate reality, I would love to see those 2 be set down a path that comic books have taken them in... as great of an actress AA is, I don't really feel any heat between them. (Yes, I was a big fan of Lois and Clark, i.e. Teri/Dean.).
Doesn't seem DC plans to have Henry around much though... how many movies has he signed for with WB/DC?

Personally, I didn't like the latest Wonder Woman movie. It was ok but not that great. But I agree with you, I like the Wonder Woman and Superman pairing and feel sad that their run in the New 52 comic books ended. Not a big fan of Lois Lane, WW feels more like an equal to Superman.
In the Justice League comics, there was an implied attraction between Bruce Wayne (Batman) and Diana (WW), so who knows? Maybe this is the 'romance' this JL movie would go for.

ToniTurnyne, may I ask what about WW you did not enjoy?
I've always been a fan of Lois/Clark but the chemistry isn't there for me in Henry and Amy's version. If you're familiar with Smallville, I enjoyed the Lois/Clark pairing there.
Yes, WW and Superman pairing on screen would be very cool to watch! I am aware of the Bruce/Diane pairing in the comics but have not read them myself. I'm not a fan of that pairing. IF WB/DC movies puts her with Bruce, for me it's just another move they make for their favorite, Batman. Which, rumors keep swirling around that Affleck may not stick around... hmm... got off base a little, hope that's ok! 😊

Yeah I've heard that too but I think it was debunked. But don't quote me on that.

@LotusLily , let me just correct what I said earlier. It was actually in the JL cartoon series where the attraction of Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince was implied. The people behind the series had to do it that way because that JL animated series was in the same universe as the Superman and Batman animated series present at that time with Superman being tied with Lois, so he can't be paired with Wonder Woman. I personally liked Superman with WW, but in that series the implied attraction between Diana and Bruce was well done.
Wonder Woman was a good origin movie, but I didn't think it was that great. There are some critics who pointed out how much similar it was to the first Captain America despite it being moved to World War 1. I agree. I found it boring at some parts and apart from the factor that it's the first successful female hero character and female director-led movie, I just didn't find anything new in the movie that made me go 'wow'. The villains are not interesting. They didn't intrigue me like Loki in the Thor movies who stole the show, because next to him Thor was boring.
I personally found the Wonder Woman animated direct to video movie was more interesting because it focused more on the mythological origins of WW. There was also a focus more on the amazons (ie they didn't all get along, WW's mother was very violent, had a relationship with Hades and some of her amazon subjects didn't like how she was running the island -- they actually want to be with men and have kids). Wonder Woman herself tended to be more arrogant and having a superiority complex (which I thought made sense given she's grown up a princess/Demi goddess).
It also doesn't help that while I used to really like Superman and Wonder Woman when I was a kid, I've outgrown them. I don't like my superheroes too powerful anymore, I would prefer they're more flawed. For example, the last Wolverine movie (Logan) made me go 'whoa' and the last Deadpool movie also made me 'whoa' for its black humour. I'm actually one of the few people who probably though BvS was good because it made a good attempt of showing what happens if two heroes do not agree. I would have preferred more of an exploration of their characters' relationship, rather than have Wonder Woman being squeezed in there because I personally thought she didn't add anything to the storyline and could have been easily written out.
I'm worried now that with the success of WW, she's going to dominate the JL movie (judging by the trailers). I think that is going to be a big mistake. When Joss Whedon was drafting the first Avengers movie there was some pressure on him to make Iron Man to be 'leading the Avengers', having a bigger focus on him because his movie brought in more of the big bucks for Marvel. Thankfully, in the process of writing the script Marvel realised the movie is not going to work if it's going to be just an Iron Man show.
I hope the new JL movie is not going to be another 'Wonder Woman' show with the other heroes behind her as props.

Did the composer slip and reveal an important detail from JL?

@Poetist -- excellent article and pick-up. Oh my, Elfman really shared some great nuggets there.
When he said things like doing a reboot doesn't mean you have to start from scratch, and how the later Star Wars series still used the famous theme created by John Williams, was he criticising Snyder a bit in the direction he went with MOS? (He encouraged the composer to completely dump Williams' famous Superman theme?)
Quite surprising that he only mentions Joss Whedon's input in to the music. All along, the early articles mentioned Whedon's entry into the JL universe would be 'minimal', but now the changes and involvement he is doing is getting more and more substantial. There are rumours of characters being cut out (eg Lex Luthor) and other changes.
I know the story is that the Snyders left to deal with the death of their daughter, but I wonder now if it was more due to creative differences?

I thought so too.
He was criticising someone. Hmm...
Don't get too excited. I think Elfman is speaking on his end w/the music. Plus, you have to consider the movie was already in the trashcan, and it's hard to remove the stench if it is deep in the garbage.
I think it's due to creative differences, because Snyder got salty and removed the JL logo from his social media.
