I've not been brainwashed. I just wasn't sure if I should keep responding because it sounded like you were about to leave me as soon as you had returned! I feared I wouldn't hear anymore from you, either because I had scared you away with my "cuckoo for coco puffs" response to your return, or because you decided to take a train out to sea. (Does this rail line provide snorkel masks?)

That would be right nice, Tim. And I completely understand the need to take breaks here and there- just don't leave me thinkin' you possibly met your demise in a hot brownie batter vat or maybe I said something to inadvertently upset you. When close board buddies of mine disappear with no warning, I'm the queen of wondering if I said something I shouldn't have. Most of the time I say the right things, though, like when I tell you I got up in the night to pee.

Guilt (in other people) is a good thing. But not to worry. If I go away, it's usually because of the ner-do-wells I'm associated with. Sometimes it becomes necessary to disappear for awhile.

I fear you fell into your afore-mentioned pitcher Timlet, or were pushed in by your aforementioned ner-do-wells. Just know that while you're doing your things that makes it necessary to disappear for a while, my heart will go on and on. Just like Celine Dion's.
