They have been going on and on about how much money she makes. I wonder if they're setting her up for a crash.

For that matter, it sounds like Leonard might consider leaving physics.

I see your point on Bernie. But I'm pretty sure Leonard and that story was just a one-off episodic plot point. What exactly would Leonard be qualified to do, other than maybe TEACH physics? Plus I don't think they'd change the composition of a main character like that this late in the series.

All her money will now be going into college funds for her two children and nanny fees for her two babysitters.

Probably not a crash. I think all that “cash-talk” was just comedic fodder for her competitive tête-à-tête with Amy.

As for Leonard, I think it was about having a "career crisis"—like mid-life crisis, only with his work. (Penny had one. Sheldon had one.) Seems that trip to Feynman’s grave re-energized him and put him back on track; so, he again sees his career in physics as a worthwhile pursuit.

I don't expect she'll be losing her job, but her gushes about mucho money did make me once again wonder why Howard freaked out so much over finances with baby #1. If he wants to freak out, it should at least be over something that makes sense!

As for Leonard, I'm wondering if the writers might possibly do something concerning his job, especially with the botched retraction. Probably not, but they've got two more years of content to fill up and I wouldn't mind them exploring a new career direction for him.

And as for you, Tim, don't be so scarce. I've had to be far too serious around here lately. I think I've broken my all time on-topic record and you're partly to blame!

Leonard might be "re-energized" but if he wasn't able/isn't able to convince the university bigwigs that he's okay now and able to patch things over with the donors etc, it wouldn't be his choice. The way they ended the episode could easily be a cliffhanger where her next words - possibly at the start of the next episode - are "We're letting you go."

Bernie is getting to be the cliche soccer mom now. Well at least till the kids are old enough to play soccer. Because she is not about to let Howard teach them Quidditch.

Let alone that nobody can actually play Quidditch since it requires magical powers of flight.

Oh don't be such a Muggle

Once again, I'm blamed for other peoples problems

I've been checking in on this site from time to time and you're right a lot of topics are way too serious. I've been over on the Orville site. They seem a little more relaxed.

I think more Romulan ale is needed.

My problem is not enough Tim. Therefore you are, in fact, to blame.

Now please keep coming back and I won't blame you for too much else.

I'll try to keep you as off topic as possible. But I'm only one guy (I think) But to show you there are no hard feelings, I sent you a special gift. I left it at the top of the escalator.

How convenient! I'm on the top floor! I'm just glad you didn't leave it at the bottom of the escalator.

Hee, hee.
