5:30 PM Brazil time is more like it. But the damn thing starts noon or in the morning. How much energy do you need for this? How much for a ticket? If it’s expensive, you can’t go late.

Next year should be dubbed the year of the super heroine films. We have BOP, BW and WW. I hope they all make $1 billion each.

I like the trailer. Shouldn’t be a shock, because I like WW and GG. Yes, I wrote about some questionable things that she did. But compare to men, she’s a saint.

So I think that WW84 looks very good, but I don’t like ST and the costumes. I’d have liked the costumes, if the heroes had revealing costumes too. But no, the costumes of the heroes are new and less revealing. They don’t wear unitards with the underwear on the outside anymore. Linda Carter wore a leotard. But putting a little skirt over it doesn’t make it better. Why is the woman the only one coming to a fight in a bustier and an extremely short skirt? The new suit covers everything, but it has a leotard on top of the legging.

I think the costumes are beautiful. Just add a legging under the blue skirt and change the gold leotard for a longline overbust corset.

The rule of thumb was 2.5x the PB to break-even. Not anymore. Critics say that TC’s version of The Mummy bombed too. It made $409 mil with a $125 mil PB. That’s more than 3x the PB. So I’m not sure.

I do agree with the geeks that the film of a star with a $20 mil pay check should make a 100% of its PB back in the USA. China can pull the BO over the 2.5xPB line, but it also keeps a big piece of the BO pie. Financiers want to make a profit, not just break-even. Stars with such a high pay check should make them good money.

TM isn’t trying to entertain. It looks like filling people with nostalgia is the goal. I’m bored already. It reminds me of Terminator. It’s 80% ST with 20% new stuff. 

I haven’t watched anything streaming yet. But I heard that TM and See are boring. And FAM is surprisingly engaging.

The SW franchise and most of its spin-offs have become a phenomenon or an institution in pop culture. It’s something that fans want to be part of. It doesn’t matter how bad or boring it is. It’s fun to be part of the hype and to be able to discuss it, praise it, bash it, buy it and sometimes go completely crazy.

SW9 was boring and it’s around $77 mil (18 days in USA) behind SW8.
