After helming 2013's Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Snyder returned to the director's chair for Justice League. Conceived as part of a five-movie DCEU plan, Snyder's Justice League would have merely been the first part of three films.

Doomsday Easter Egg Appeared in Man of Steel to Tease the Villain’s Role in BvS
The early scenes of Man of Steel are set on Krypton, and Snyder pointed to one detail in the background: the broken moon of Krypton. In Snyder's mind, the moon had been destroyed by Doomsday in ages past, an idea that doesn't really have any comic book precedent but works within the world Snyder has created. This was intended to foreshadow the existence of Superman's most dangerous enemy. At the time, Snyder had no idea whether or not he'd ever get to make a sequel; he certainly wasn't envisioning the birth of the DC Extended Universe.
The seven-second video shows a man saying, ”Oh, you wanna fight? That’s what you wanna do?” to a young woman, who appears to be jokingly preparing herself for a fight and is smiling.
Miller then grabs the girl by the throat, and throws her to the ground. At this point, the person filming says, “Woah, bro. Bro,” and stops shooting, with the footage ending abruptly.
According to a source at the bar, the altercation took place after the individual, identified as Miller, was confronted by a group of eager fans, who were “quite pushy.” Things then escalated, with Miller losing his temper at one woman in particular.
Prikið staff escorted the actor, who was upset and angry, off the premises following the incident.

That’s what they said when MOS 2 turned into a Batman film.
Snyder never mentioned Doomsday. He said that Superman should face Batman.
OMG, ZS is so lying.
The last time we discussed the ZS cut, I posted the first bold part of this quote (article). Now I’ll post the whole thing.
MH:When you came aboard Man of Steel, were you thinking in the back of your mind, "I could be the guy who gets to reboot Batman on film too!"
ZS:I gotta be honest, it definitely was a thing that... after Man of Steel finished and we started talking about what would be in the next movie, I started subtly mentioning that it would be cool if he faced Batman. In the first meeting, it was like, "Maybe Batman?" Maybe at the end of the second movie, some Kryptonite gets delivered to Bruce Wayne's house or something. Like in a cryptic way, that's the first time we see him. But then, once you say it out loud, right? You're in a story meeting talking about, like, who should [Superman] fight if he fought this giant alien threat Zod who was basically his equal physically, from his planet, fighting on our turf... You know, who to fight next? The problem is, once you say it out loud, then it's kind of hard to go back, right? Once you say, "What about Batman?" then you realize, "Okay, that's a cool idea. What else?" I mean, what do you say after that? ...But I'm not gonna say at all that when I took the job to do Man of Steel that I did it in a subversive way to get to Batman. I really believe that only after contemplating who could face [Superman] did Batman come into the picture.
ZS never mentioned Doomsday while he was a worst giant alien threat than Zod. ZS’s idea of worst threat than a giant alien that was basically SM’s equal was a powerless, worn out, fortysomething BM. How laughable is that? And the others he met with thought that was cool too. They couldn’t even realize that green kryptonite will make SM sick and that nobody wants to see a sick man fight. All they wanted was to put BM into the movie to 1. boost the BO numbers and 2. to satisfy ZS’s childhood dream.
ZS:For me, that's really what The Dark Knight Returns did as well. When I read it, I felt like -- of course I knew who Batman was and I was familiar with him as a comic book hero -- but it was that book that made me say, "Gosh, you know this could be an amazing film." At the time, I was just starting my college career, but I thought, "Wow this would be a cool movie!" I wasn't sure exactly how that would manifest itself, but you know you dream when you're a kid and you're in college, "God, if one day I could make a Batman movie, that would be awesome!"
Since the success of TDK and TDKR, WB had the silly idea that BM was the only hero that could make them money. They completely ignored the fact that MOS did better than CN’s Batman Begins and that MOS is the highest grossing SM film… or the second highest grossing if you adjust CR’s first SM film for inflation.
But WB consisted of a bunch of fools that thought that MOS would make TDK and TDKR BO numbers. CN’s involvement and the dark take were supposed to give them that $1 billion BO. But when MOS didn’t make a billion, ZS saw the opportunity to convince WB to include BM in the MOS sequel. Then he turned MOS 2 in a BM film.
Now, having said all that, I have a job for DG. She should quit being a hypocrite and tell us what really happened. It’s cool to tell what really happened to others but not when it’s about you or others in your circle? For some unknown but I’m sure innovated reason, she and DJ are setting up social posts, vids, questions etc. so that they can say certain things that they want their followers to read. Or they get others to say or do what they want to send a certain message about themselves into the world. Well, quit those childish, old fashioned online charades and do something that isn’t fake for a change. Investigate what really happened. Is ZS lying or speaking the truth?
But I'm not gonna say at all that when I took the job to do Man of Steel that I did it in a subversive way to get to Batman. I really believe that only after contemplating who could face [Superman] did Batman come into the picture.
ZS really didn’t envision the DCEU? He really didn’t take the MOS job to get to BM in a subversive way? I did some digging and I found an article that says something different.

Six DC Universe Characters Teased in ‘Man of Steel’ Posted on Sunday, June 16th, 2013 by Russ Fischer
This list is all about the characters we see in Man of Steel — or the personas whose existence is hinted in the film — that could end up in future DC Universe movies.
On the eve of Man of Steel‘s opening, Goyer explained some of the explicit positioning of his Superman film with respect to the DC Universe:
Goyer: It is our intention that, in success, [Man of Steel] would be the “0 issue” [ed: the scene-setting issue for a new series] and from this point onward, po ssible films could expand into a shared universe. In our world, the Man of Steel world, Zack has gone on record saying that we’re implying there are other superheroes in this world. But I don’t know that they’ve come forward yet. The idea is that Superman is the first one. There might be people helping people, but not in costumes, and that Superman comes forward and announces himself to the world. In him announcing himself, he’s the one that changes things.
They copied things from 2011 Captain America: The First Avenger and 2008 Iron Man. So ZS did envision the DCEU. How could he not? MCU’s 2012 The Avengers was a huge success.

Goyer: The ‘Dark Knight’ films do not exist in the same universe. Zack [Snyder] has gone on record. The fact that we have Wayne Industries on the satellite, Bruce Wayne exists in this universe. Lex Luthor exists in this universe. Other metahumans do exist in this universe, so the hope is, depending on how the film does, that we’ll be able to roll into some other films.
We just had TDKR in 2012. Why didn’t ZS include a different hero in MOS 2? The article mentions Cyborg, Booster Gold, Supergirl and Star Sapphire (Green Lantern). But no, ZS rebooted BM and fulfilled his childhood dream or destiny. Oh, isn’t it weird that the geek that wrote the article doesn’t mention the Doomsday Easter egg? Such an important Easter egg went unnoticed or unmentioned. But Doomsday would be the villain in the sequel. And like Lex Luthor, he’s actually part of the SM mythos,

The fans should thank HBO’s new streaming service, because it doesn't look like a theatrical release was an option.
We all thought that it could be released on HBOM. The last time we discussed this, someone said that ZS showed JM the cut right after HBOM announced that it had acquired rights to some content. We thought that ZS did that because he needed someone to confirm that his cut exist. That way, the fans would campaign harder and put more pressure on WB to release it.
Some wonder if the JW cut or the ZS cut should be canonical for the soon to be resurrected DCEU. I don’t understand why they’re wondering. The one released in theaters should be canonical.
Every cell in my body hates the JW cut. But WB can’t expect me to care about what goes on in the streaming or TV world. I’m a movie goer, not a streamer or TV fanatic. So WB should have known better than to reshoot ¾ of ZS’s dark and most likely incoherent crap and turn it into an abomination of epic proportion.
HBOM needs content and subscribers. Understandable. But let what’s on streaming remain in the streaming world.

The DCEU Flash appeared in the Arrow verse crossover thing… according to the geeks. Again, WB was trying to imitate the MCU by doing something in a rush.
I can follow the big screen MCU without watching the small screen MCU. So I don’t know what the DCEU Flash was doing on the small screen and I don’t care. If WB wants to change DCEU’s time line, it will have to do that on the big screen. Any flaw in the timeline, like WW ‘s presence in 1984 and her absence in the 2013 Zod battle, can’t be explain with something that happens on the small screen.
Justice League: The Snyder Cut Will Cost More Than $30 Million, Says HBO Max Boss
During an appearance on Recode Media's podcast (via Screenrant), WarnerMedia chairman and HBO Max boss Bob Greenblatt admitted that he wishes the Snyder Cut would only cost $30 million to release.
"It isn't as easy as going into the vault and there's a Snyder Cut sitting there to put out," Greenblatt explained. "Zack is actually building it and it's complex, including - and I don't wanna get into too much detail that we haven't already talked about yet - but, new effects shots."
Greenblatt described the Snyder Cut as "a radical rethinking of that movie" and "complicated and wildly expensive. Which is, of course, a number I won't quote... I'll just say I wish it was $30 million and stop there."
Zack Snyder's Justice League Reshoots Won't Involve the Cast
On this week's episode of The Wrap's "Wrap-Up" podcast, Wrap reporter guest Umberto Gonzalez mentioned how Warner Bros. is apparently drawing the line at more scenes being added featuring the stars of the film.
"There’s not going to be any reshoots of any kind with any actors," Gonzalez stated. "It’s just additional dialogue. Here’s something that hasn’t been reported yet - [Zack Snyder] did want to shoot and he wanted to do additional photography but HBO Max said no, that’s not happening."
"We’ll give you money for post-production," Gonzalez added, "for special effects, for scoring, and even ADR but no reshoots of any kind on this movie."

Zack Snyder Attending Fan-Organized Justice League Con In July
Not long after Justice League hit theaters, fans immediately knew that it wasn't Snyder's intended story. Whedon's reshoots reportedly had 80 script pages - which is a lot - resulting in only 10% of Snyder's work making into the big screen. Hence, the Release the Snyder Cutmovement was born demanding Warner Bros. to roll out the original filmmaker's work complete with Junkie XL's (the original composer before Danny Elfman stepped in) intended musical score.
As everyone waits for the release of Snyder's Justice League, some fans are keeping themselves busy by organizing their own convention called Justice Con. The virtual event is set to take place from July 25-26, with guest appearances from Darkseid actor, Ray Porter and storyboard artist Jay Oliva. Snyder is also confirmed to attend the said gathering, which is exciting a lot of his supporters.
Aside from checking in on the attendees, this will be Snyder's first public appearance after it's announced that his Justice League is releasing via HBO Max.
Reports say that it can either be a 4-hour movie or a TV mini-series, with the filmmaker personally pitching the project with episodes and cliffhangers. Perhaps, Snyder can shed a light on this, as well as tease the public regarding what to expect from his upcoming project. Other than that, it would also be great for him to tell how his conversations with Warner Bros. and HBO Max went down - something that a lot of people would love to know more about.
