GR should read THR and look at the dates. It’s easy to blame GJ and say that the tragedy was used as a cover-up. But ZS said in THR that what he made WB would not release. His wife said that you could have what ZS made on a streaming service. So ZS spent six months (Apr.-Oct. 2016) shooting something for a streaming service. lol
In Jan. 2017, ZS had his optimal version of JL which was like four hours long. He said that he and WB agreed that there was much work to be done on the first cut he showed them. That cut was more than two hours. Then tragedy happened in Apr. and ZS left in May.
I think that ZS didn’t want to shorten his optimal version of JL. Maybe that’s why he left. But he also gave GJ enough reason to fire him. I’d have fired him in Jan. 2017, because what he had was good for NX. lol I don’t think it’s a good idea to hire another director so last minute. But it looks like GJ had to hire someone who could make a JL for theatrical release in Nov. 2017. Maybe it was impossible to turn ZS‘s four hours long version in a two hours film that would still make sense. Maybe that’s why so many things were changed.
I like the scene with GG. The scene with Darkseid looks cartoonish and the color is awful.
It went from suspense film to action computer game. The Warhammer game vid looks more appealing. I wonder if Bosslogic takes requests. I’d like to see what the real HC would look like as the High Elf Loremaster of Hoeth with and without the helmet. HC with pointy ears?
GR should read THR and look at the dates. It’s easy to blame GJ and say that the tragedy was used as a cover-up.
Can you imagine a darker superhero film than the ones he already released? Fans and critics criticized MOS and then they trashed BvS. Maybe ZS’s two+ hour JL cut was too dark and freaked WB out. A streaming service doesn’t rely on ticket sales like theatrical films. It relies on the amount… and quality of its content to get and keep subscribers. If ZS’s JL stinks, subscribers can watch something else and tell others to subscribe for other content. If ZS’s JL sucks in theaters, the word of mouth will be to not go see it.
I like the scene with GG. The scene with Darkseid looks cartoonish and the color is awful.
The fights in MOS didn’t have that color and cartoonish/PC game feeling. They looked real. The cartoonish/PC game crap kind of started with BvS. But they fought Doomsday at night, so it wasn’t so bad. But this Darkseid scene doesn’t excite me at all.
GR should read THR and look at the dates. It’s easy to blame GJ and say that the tragedy was used as a cover-up.
I’ll see if I can find the article where ZS said that he focused on work to forget the tragedy and that the tragedy made his creative vision even darker… something like. I’ll post the article next time.
The article that I found doesn’t quote ZS saying that the tragedy made his creative vision darker. The author of the article wrote that. So it doesn’t count. The author must quote ZS. So I’ll edit that out of my previous post.
If WB wants to change DCEU’s time line, it will have to do that on the big screen. Any flaw in the timeline, like WW ‘s presence in 1984 and her absence in the 2013 Zod battle, can’t be explain with something that happens on the small screen.
Warner Bros.'s plan to address some continuity problems.
The Flash Movie: How Michael Keaton's Batman Could Completely Change the DCEU
Word has come that Michael Keaton is in talks to reprise the role of Batman for the first time in 30 years. If the negotiations between the actor and Warner Bros. prove fruitful, Keaton will reportedly be appearing in 2022's The Flash, with that film setting up his character to become the DC movie equivalent of Nick Fury.
As it is, it's hard to connect the dots between DC's upcoming movie projects. Certain films like The Flash and Wonder Woman 1984 are continuing established DCEU continuity, while others like Matt Reeves' The Batman seem to be operating in their own little corners, and others still like James Gunn's The Suicide Squad are nebulous.
The Flash may be aimed at addressing some of these continuity questions and setting the stage for a more consistent universe moving forward. As Ezra Miller's Barry Allen travels through time and the Speed Force, he may alter the universe once known as the DCEU. The resulting new world may draw in a mix of DCEU veterans like Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Henry Cavill's Superman and older favorites like Keaton's Batman, all while writing out characters who aren't expected to return (Ben Affleck's Batman, Jared Leto's Joker, etc.). The idea being that post-The Flash, these movies will fit together in a way the DC lineup has never managed before.
For all intents and purposes, it sounds like the studio wants Keaton to be the Batman Beyond of whatever cinematic universe exists post-The Flash. The Hollywood Reporter describes the character as a Nick Fury-like figure mentoring new heroes and generally serving as the glue that ties this universe together.
If Warners is going through the trouble of signing Keaton to a multi-picture deal, we have to assume he won't be the only DC veteran reprising their role in The Flash. Barry Allen's trip through time and space could allow for a real who's who lineup of DC fan-favorites.

What? That’s so absurd that I thought the geeks were just looking for something to keep making threads or post. Here I see that THR reported about it. Isn’t THR considered a reputable source? It’s not to me, but I think that many seem to think so.
BL might know more than he’s letting on. He’s posting a lot of art about BM and Flashpoint, which is the film that will make these merges and crossovers possible. This one is from today and this one a few days ago.
Snyder Cut: HBO Max Exec [ Sandra Dewey] Reveals When Justice League’s Alternate Version Will Arrive On Streaming
Sandra Dewey is the president of productions and business operations for WarnerMedia Entertainment, which includes working on HBO Max.
While Zack Snyder's cut of the movie doesn't have an official release date, audiences at least have an approximate period of time that the studio is aiming for.
The Snyder Cut is seemingly headed to HBO Max early in 2021… .
Joss Wheadon’s on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. He was enabled, in many ways, by Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. Accountability>Entertainment
‘Justice League’ Producer Jon Berg Denies Ray Fisher’s Claims
Following the accusation, Jon Berg responded through Variety, firmly denied that he allowed any on-set abuse say that it was “categorically untrue that we enabled any unprofessional behavior.” Furthermore, the producer took a shot at Ray Fisher, citing the actor being upset that they wanted him to say a certain line:
“I remember [Fisher] being upset that we wanted him to say ‘Booyaa,’ which is a well known saying of Cyborg in the animated series.”
IMO, every prod., writer and director who worked on JL were idiots. But even so, RF better have some solid dirt on those idiots or people might think that he’s using the BLM situation to make accusations to maybe make ZS look like a victim. I say that because a lot of POCs are telling some old stuff now. Also, RF was always team ZS.

Justice League: Why Cyborg Actor Ray Fisher Called Out Joss Whedon Abuse
This isn't the first time Whedon's been accused of abusing the power of his position, either. In August 2017, his ex-wife Kai Cole published an essay accusing Whedon of hiding (and later confessing to her) extramarital affairs while running Buffy the Vampire Slayer and throughout their 21-year marriage, in addition to "inappropriate emotional" relationships with "co-workers, fans and friends."
In a broader sense, Whedon has also been criticized for using his image as a self-proclaimed feminist to shield himself from critiques when it comes to his treatment of women, both on and off-screen. For example, his sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron was criticized for its clunky handling of infertility and pregnancy in a subplot involving Black Widow's history, and his work on shows like Firefly and Buffy has been similarly taken to take for their equally clumsy use of rape as a storytelling device. Most notoriously, on the Buffy spinoff Angel, Whedon butted heads with costar Charisma Carpenter when she became pregnant ahead of the start of season 4, resulting in changes to her character's storyline that ultimately led to her being written off the series entirely in season 5. Fisher even referred to these issues directly in a later tweet, saying "I believe Kai Cole and Charisma Carpenter."
When it comes to Whedon's treatment of Fisher, the proof might be in the pudding. In an interview with The Black Cape Magazine in June, Fisher revealed he'd met with Snyder and Terrio to discuss Justice League's portrayal of Victor Stone aka. Cyborg and his family before the Justice League script had even been written. According to the actor:
We were able to talk about framing up this prominent Black comic book family and my perspective as a Black man if I’d been watching this thing. Any questions, thoughts, or concerns that I may have had about framing or where we may be going or how it may be perceived, Chris and Zack met those things with open arms and an open mind.
Prior to the Justice League reshoots, Snyder similarly described Cyborg as "the heart of the movie." You can see traces of the character's original arc in the film's theatrical cut; he loses his family, find a new one in the Justice League, and is the key to saving the world, being the only one who can stop Steppenwolf from forming the unity with the three Mother Boxes. At the end of the day, most of his backstory and the more dramatic elements of his plot thread (including, the death of his father) were stripped away from the film after Whedon's reshoots, resulting in a pretty flat portrayal of Cyborg. From a storytelling perspective, these changes come off as being disrespectful to not only Cyborg as a character, but also Fisher, Terrio, and Snyder's efforts to ensure Victor Stone wasn't a Black male stereotype.
Fisher talked about this in the same interview with TBCM, saying he didn't want Cyborg to be "relegated to being the catchphrase spitting ‘cool Black dude’. That’s not anything that I’m interested in watching. It’s definitely not anything I’m interested in portraying." Tellingly, in response to Fisher's comments about Whedon, Berg called them "categorically untrue" before claiming "I remember him being upset that we wanted him to say ‘Booyaa,’ which is a well known saying of Cyborg in the animated series." To many, this response has come across as curt and dismissive at best, and mostly seems to confirm Fisher's claim Whedon, Berg, and Johns were unprofessional in the way they overrode his concerns in favor of including that bit of fan-service (a moment that comes out of nowhere in the film anyway), on top of the other changes they made.
Gal Gadot refused to film a sexualised scene in 'Justice League'; director Joss Whedon insisted and used a body double instead
Fisher, who played Cyborg in the movie, in a recent tweet slammed Whedon’s behaviour.“Joss Wheadon’s on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. He was enabled, in many ways, by Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. Accountability>Entertainment,” Fisher wrote.
Corroborating Fisher's tweet, photographer Clay Enos, who has collaborated with Snyder on several projects, tweeted, “I heard the same thing.”
Now a report has claimed that Gal Gadot refused to shoot a comic scene in which The Flash lands on her body in the middle of an intense fight sequence. Gadot felt that the scene sexualised Wonder Woman. Whedon, though persisted and when Gadot refused, he brought a body double to shoot the scene instead.
Photographer Jason Laboy, who has worked with Fisher, tweeted, “Don’t forget to add that he locked her in a room and threatened her career if she didn’t do the scene. That is very important and should not be omitted.”
One fan on Twitter was quick to point out how the sequence was similar to the scene in 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron', where Bruce Banner lands on top of Natasha Romanoff. “The fact that he did the same exact gag in Age of Ultron just two years earlier really shows his growth as a comedy director,” the fan wrote.

Looks fine to me. Darkseid will be like Thanos.
Not as the High Elf Loremaster of Hoeth, but as the Dark Knight also known as Batman.
