Poster #1 should have won. The poster is dark and that’s ZS’s style. If we didn’t know who the villain was, this would have been the perfect poster to keep it that way. All we need to know is that the villain is so strong that it will take the whole JL to fight him. The poster also shows that the whole JL is fighting him together.
Poster #4 tells too much. It looks like SM is against JL too. That should remain a surprise.
Poster #3 tells too little. SM will be back. That secret was hard to keep. It’s also too light. Not ZS’s style. You expect something colorful and light, but get something colorless and dark instead.
Poster #1 reveals the villain and is too light. It’s also colorless and may not catch your attention. It also looks chaotic with all those little pics. You have to really pay attention to see that the little pics are the members of JL. That should be more obvious and it should have Justice League written on it too.
It does? Not my fave, but it shows the villain and that SM aint part of JL.
Now it tells too much. It gives away the villain and that SM is up to something. We already know who the villain is. But did ZS say that SM is against JL or doing his own thing on the side for a while? I don’t remember. But if he didn’t, then keep quiet about it. We know that SM will join JL eventually. Poster #1 shows him as part of JL. So it will be a surprise that he’s against them or doing his own thing in the beginning.

Poster #3 has beautiful colors to attract us, but they’re not bright. The background gives off a dark vibe so we don’t have to expect something completely lighthearted. But we don’t have to expect two hours of depressing stuff either. Poster #1 screams doom! Expect two hours of depressing stuff.
We already knew that SM will be back. But we don’t know exactly what his role is. He’s between the bad guy and JL. That could be used to make the audience want to know more.

That would be true on a crazy day. But today is a sane day. So no. I explained why I think it is the best poster. You can’t handle that my explanation is better than yours.
HBO Max will debut the project in 2021 — possibly in a four-hour director's cut or in six TV-style "chapters" — as the helmer gets the gang back together with the original postproduction crew to score, cut and finish visual effects.
It was very early on a Monday morning in November when director Zack Snyder and his wife and producing partner, Deborah Snyder, received a call from their agent. Let’s be a bit more precise. It was 7 a.m. But more importantly, it was the day after the second anniversary of the release of Justice League,
In the time since its release, something unusual happened: A growing movement of fans, rallied by the hashtag #ReleasetheSnyderCut, had called,
So here, the morning after, was their agent saying that Toby Emmerich, chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures, was acknowledging the movement, and more importantly, was willing to accede. "This is real. People out there want it. Would you guys ever consider doing something?" was what Emmerich was asking, Zack Snyder recalls.
It is currently unclear what form Snyder’s Justice League will take. Whether it will be released as an almost four-hour director’s cut or split into six "chapters" has yet to be decided, but the Snyders are now in the midst of reassembling much of their original postproduction crew to score, cut, add new and finish old visual effects, and, yes, maybe bring back many of the actors to record additional dialogue.
Also unclear is the cost of the endeavor. One source has pegged the effort in the $20 million range, although another source says that figure could be closer to $30 million. The parties involved had no comment.
"You probably saw one-fourth of what I did," the director notes, basing his judgment on what has been shared with him of Whedon's version.
"I always thought it was a thing that in 20 years, maybe somebody would do a documentary and I could lend them the footage, little snippets of a cut no one has ever seen."
But, adds Deborah Snyder, "With the new platform and streaming services, you can have something like this. You can’t release something like this theatrically, but you could with a streaming service. It’s an opportunity that wasn’t there two years ago, to be honest."
But, adds Deborah Snyder, "With the new platform and streaming services, you can have something like this. You can’t release something like this theatrically, but you could with a streaming service. It’s an opportunity that wasn’t there two years ago, to be honest."
Snyder was in a unique position when he shot Justice League in 2016. Warner Bros. had entrusted its universe of DC characters to one filmmaker — him — and he had been building toward a great onscreen team-up, though not without some bumps in the road.
In January 2017, he had what he considered his optimal version of Justice League, almost four hours long, although he knew it was something the studio would not release. Warners wanted a cut in the two-hour range, and he delivered a rough version with an approximate two-hour, 20-minute running time. That was the first cut the studio saw. Both sides agreed that there was much work still to be done before the November release, but tragedy struck the Snyders when their daughter, Autumn, died by suicide. A month and a half later, Zack officially stepped away and Whedon was brought in.
Forget that the version that fans wanted technically didn’t exist. What did exist was a semi-unfinished work, with no visual effects, no postproduction.
"When we left the movie, I just took the drive of the cut on it," says Zack Snyder. "I honestly never thought it would be anything."
After the Saturday morning phone call, the Snyders began to move puzzle pieces into place. "We had to figure out what it meant to finish it, and how do you pull it off?" recalls Deborah.
The Snyders put together a presentation and, in early February, invited a select group of executives from Warner Bros., HBO Max and DC to their house in Pasadena to screen Zack's little-seen version that was shown in black and white.
Heads of physical production and business affairs were there to assess what needed to be done and how much it would cost. At his presentation after the screening, Snyder outlined ideas for not just releasing the cut but the concept of episodes and cliffhangers.
The novel coronavirus struck, and Hollywood all but shut down in mid-March. Says Deborah, "People thought, 'It won’t be possible to ramp up, and that maybe this should go on the back burner.' But we said, 'No, this is the right time' because our visual effects houses that rely on so much are running out of work, so now is the time to be doing this."
Snyder also spent April and May reaching out to the sizable cast, giving a heads-up on the new development and letting them know their services may be needed.
For the Snyders, the chance to revisit the movie also brings the prospect for closure on a project they were forced to let go. "This movie was the culmination of a hero’s journey that all these characters went on," says Deborah Snyder. "And the idea was always to build them up to be the heroes people expected them to be."
And while the cut will contain the many elements Zack has teased over time (yes, expect Darkseid), the duo also relish adding a fair amount of character development. "What’s so lovely about this is that we get to explore these characters in ways that you’re not able to in a shorter theatrical version."
The Snyders know that fan power is what led to the Snyder Cut becoming a reality. "Clearly this wouldn’t be happening without them," says Zack.
ZS wasted money and time on a four hour long film, knowing perfectly well that no superhero film should be that long. Then he made a two-hour, 20-minute first cut of it that needed a lot of work before it was ready. Why didn’t they split it in a part 1 and 2?
Another thing… ZS had the four hour long film in January. He left JL in May. WB decided in July to change three-fourths of the film. So it was easier to use one-fourth and reshoot three-fourths than to make the two-hour, 20-minute cut ready for November.
This whole thing reeks. But it will be so much fun to speculate and discuss. Thanks to HBOM we’ll hopefully see the original four hour long JL in 2021.

Uh-huh. He’s the only one to blame.
Why didn’t they split it in a part 1 and 2?
You mean a part 1A and 1B, because JL has a part 2.
So it was easier to use one-fourth and reshoot three-fourths than to make the two-hour, 20-minute cut ready for November.
The geeks say that WB thought that JW would make JL as successful as TA. Some of those geeks also say that HC agreed to be part of the announcement because the ZS cut would give him a chance to come back as SM. lol
I don’t believe neither. Where to begin? Even the WB idiots can’t expect JW to make something good at such short notice. WB saw the ZS cut in 2017 and fans went crazy when they saw a less moody SM in JW’s JL. WB didn’t care. lol HC wasn’t part of the # craze. He doesn’t have Twitter, but he could have mentioned it on his IG. Instead, he repeated what he said in 2017 and added that he loves MOS, BvS was a BM film and JL didn’t work. JW’s JL is the one he saw.
This whole thing reeks.
Fishy? lol Nobody looks bad in THR's version of what happened. Maybe DG can give us what really happened. lol
Thanks to HBOM we’ll hopefully see the original four hour long JL in 2021.
The fans should thank HBO’s new streaming service, because it doesn't look like a theatrical release was an option. I hope HBOM will be available everywhere in 2021.

The word in geek valley is that the original plan was two JL films. That plan fell through, but ZS secretly shot both anyway. That’s the four hour film.
HC wasn’t part of the # craze.
But GG was. Now she's not. She didn't post about this news. She liked JM’s post though. So what’s up? Any drama I should know of?

We all thought that it could be released on HBOM. The last time we discussed this, someone said that ZS showed JM the cut right after HBOM announced that it had acquired rights to some content. We thought that ZS did that because he needed someone to confirm that his cut exist. That way, the fans would campaign harder and put more pressure on WB to release it.
Believe me, ZS is playing innocent. His selfish ambition and stubbornness got him in that mess and he seems to have gotten himself out of it by using and manipulating JM, GG, BA and fans. And he lucked out too. There’s a pending streaming war. New/original content is needed and a JL docu mini series would be perfect. I think that WB would have considered it without all the # fuss. Why let millions go to waste when you can modify it and sell it?

Zack Snyder Proves That His JUSTICE LEAGUE Cut Exists and It's 3.5 Hours Long!
Zack Snyder seems to be getting tired of people saying that his cut of Justice League doesn’t exist, so he shared a photo of the film canisters that actually hold his cut of the film. Those canisters reveal that the runtime of the film is 214 minutes, which comes out to about 3.5 hours. That’s a long-ass Justice League movie!
Zack Snyder has revealed that his originally planned Justice League trilogy would have culminated in the sacrificial death of Batman. After helming 2013's Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Snyder returned to the director's chair for Justice League. Conceived as part of a five-movie DCEU plan, Snyder's Justice League would have merely been the first part of three films. The saga would not only have spanned time and become ever more cosmic in scope but would have featured Darkseid much more prominently. Unfortunately, those plans were scrapped when Snyder was forced to step away. In his stead, Joss Whedon completely reworked the story - with up to 80 script pages of reshoots that included making Steppenwolf the sole antagonist.
Zack Snyder has been holding court over on Vero, answering fan questions. One answer was a confirmation that yes, Ben Affleck's Batman was going to die by Darkseid's hand in the Justice League sequels:
If you don't know (or remember), Snyder's vision for Justice League was actually a trilogy that had a major DC villain (Darkseid) and a major time travel twist. As was previously teased by Snyder and confirmed by industry insiders:
Snyder's Justice League would play like the theatrical version, with one ending twist: Darkseid revealing himself to the League, as Steppenwolf's master.
Justice League 2 would've gone cosmic, with the League mounting an attack on Apokolips and Darkseid. That major event would've brought the New Gods of New Genesis and the Green Lantern Corps into the mix.
The second movie would've ended on a dark and ominous loss, as Darkseid thrashed the Justice League and killed Lois Lane, taking Superman prisoner and creating the "Dark Superman" we saw in Batman v Superman through the Anti-Life Equation.
Justice League 3 would've seen Darkseid invade Earth without the League there to defend it, conquering the planet and creating the "Knightmare" reality in Batman v Superman.
Through several time travel loops (including Flash's failed warning to Bruce in Batman v Superman) Batman would have to reach Superman and bring him back ot the side of good, so that the League could defeat Darkseid and save the world.
We all thought that it could be released on HBOM. The last time we discussed this, someone said that ZS showed JM the cut right after HBOM announced that it had acquired rights to some content. We thought that ZS did that because he needed someone to confirm that his cut exist.
Henry Cavill Doesn't Know If a Snyder Cut Actually Exists But Wants to Focus on the Future of Superman
Cavill said, "I have not seen any Snyder Cut – I don't know if there is anything that exists that is a Snyder Cut. I'm sure there is footage out there which has probably been pieced together over the years. I'm always interested to see how that stuff turns out, but that is very much a chapter of my past. I would rather talk about what is going to happen in the future – the future of Superman, how I can express that character from the comic books. Which, ties in nicely to Man of Steel, I really like that movie, and I'd like to be able to tell the story where it was left at that point."
When asked by McCarthy if that Superman story will continue, Cavill said smiling, "I can tell you nothing, unfortunately. I can tell you nothing. But it would indeed be awesome."
Cavill's comments further support a recent statement from Justice League composer Danny Elfman, claiming that the Snyder Cut was "never finished." However, Elfman's claims are in direct contradiction to a statement from Jason Momoa (Aquaman) who said he has "seen the Snyder Cut."
Momoa has recently seen the Snyder cut. Why recently? It exists since May 2017. Is it possible that the footage has been pieced together over the years? Did Snyder need someone to confirm that the cut exist to get the fans all fired up exactly when HBO Max started announcing its acquisitions? Momoa’s Instagram post is from 08/16/2019. As far as I know, HBO Max announced its first acquisition on 08/01/2019. Then on 09/17 and on 10/17.
