Martha! Zack Snyder reveals why Superman couldn't save his mom in Dawn of Justice
Director Zack Snyder answered the question on his usual social media platform of choice, Vero.
"He flies up above the city and hovers," Snyder wrote. "The camera begins to rotate around him as he hears the cries of citywide crime going on and, as we get closer, he is in pain because he knows if he [tries] to find her this way, he will have to ignore the countless crimes going on in the two cities and the world."
Suddenly so many cry for help. How many cry for help did SM ignore when he flew to another continent to save Lois? He can ignore cry for help to save Lois but not his mom.
There will always be multiple cry for help simultaneously. SM will have to make a choice, because even he may or will not be able to save them all.
Instead of ignoring the cries for help to use his super speed to search the city, SM chose to ignore the cries for help to go tell:
Lois that no one stays good in this world
BM that he was wrong about him and that Lex orchestrated the whole thing

Nobody needed help when SM had to save a falling Lois for the million time and then had to fly to Lex for a lengthy conversation on top of a skyscraper. Don’t forget that everything happened at night when criminals are more active. Also, don’t forget that SM wasn’t in a hurry when he was saving Lois. He even had time to give her a nice kiss.
But then…
The whole city needed help exactly when SM had to start searching for his mom. Why? Doomsday was still in his cocoon.
Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi
The park features many iconic heroes and villains from the DC universe, such as the Trinity itself, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. A statue for each hero can be found in one of the most exciting places for DC fans to attend: the Hall of Justice.
The park is filled with plenty of Warner Bros. icons outside the heroes of the Justice League and the entire DC universe.

'Release The Snyder Cut' HBO Max Release Doubts Shut Down
The article by Variety offers that Zack Snyder "had planned to do some reshoots," but Jay Oliva, who is Zack Snyder's Justice League storyboard artist shuts that notion down on social media as he tweeted last Tuesday responding to a fan comment:
“Many scenes weren’t shot” - ? Maybe pick up shots planned for reshoots but I’m pretty sure everything was shot. Why else would they have a “last shot” celebration? I was there for the last shot so I would know if more were planned. In fact Zack usually uses me for any reshoots.
How The Zack Snyder Cut Of ‘Justice League’ Can Be A Boon For DC Films
Could other DCEU films by other directors benefit from its release if it adds to their story?
All things considered, in a post-Justice League world, James Wan and David F. Sandberg had complete autonomy with their films. The same presumably will apply to Cathy Yan, Ava DuVernay, Matt Reeves, Andy Muschietti, and so on.
Willem Dafoe’s Vulko was originally intended to appear in the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League, but that wasn’t the case. However, the inclusion of the line in James Wan’s film makes it clear that it’s acknowledging a Justice League film that was not shown in theaters.
But beyond Aquaman, we know that General Swanwick was meant to be revealed as Martian Manhunter in the Snyder Cut of Justice League. Henry Cavill continually teased Green Lantern to no end. Whatever the case, we were no doubt going to see more heroes, whether with cameo appearances or otherwise, beyond the core League.
Take Ava DuVernay’s New Gods, for example. Darkseid was meant to appear in Justice League, but could his appearance have been a tease to what role he may play in New Gods? Or The Flash, maybe?
Shazam! exists in a post-Justice League world, it’s certainly not influenced by anything in the Snyder Cut or even Justice League in general. As far as we can tell, anyway. So really, it comes down to the discretion of the director.
If anyone suffered the most from Whedon’s reshoots of Justice League, it’s Ray Fisher’s Cyborg. Meant to be the heart of the film in the Zack Snyder cut, Cyborg had the majority of his character arc gutted and had no more huge moments of character development than Barry Allen.
There’s a catch: as Zack Snyder has revealed, Silas Stone was meant to die in the original cut of Justice League. Per the theatrical cut, Silas is very much alive by film’s end.
Plus, we know that in the Snyder Cut of Justice League, Barry Allen uses time travel to change the past. Could Silas Stone’s revival be part of that equation?
Henry Cavill recently came out and said that Justice League, in his mind, didn’t work. I’d imagine many would agree that what Joss Whedon had in store for the Man of Steel clashes with the DC arc Zack Snyder had intended for the character.
Coming out and saying #ReleaseTheSnyderCut in Cavill’s situation is different compared to Gadot, Momoa, Fisher, or Affleck. He’s promoting and focusing on The Witcher now and chances are Netflix wouldn’t like to see him advertising something for a competitor.
But there’s plenty of passion on Cavill’s side, combined with his admiration of what Zack Snyder did with Man of Steel … I say this all to say that the Snyder Cut of Justice League could flesh out Superman’s return and continuation of his character arc. This, in turn, could increase the demand for another Superman solo film, especially depending on where Clark and Lois’ arc ends.
Zack Snyder revealed that, originally, Lois was to die at the hands of Darkseid. It’s entirely possible that she’s revived by the end of the film via time travel, but playing with death takes Lois and Clark’s relationship to a deeper level now that both, technically, would have died and been brought back.
While you may not have seen Henry Cavill send out an Instagram post in support of the Snyder Cut of Justice League, it’s clear that he’s on board with what Zack Snyder intended for the Man of Steel.
One could make the argument that Warner Brothers’ treatment of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad was worse than what Zack Snyder went through for Justice League. In the case of Ayer, his film was finished and ready to go until Warner Bros. got cold feet and reacted too hastily to the critical reception of Batman v Superman.
… there’s no doubt that after attaining the Snyder Cut of Justice League, fans would soon shift their focus from Zack Snyder to righting the wrongs put on David Ayer and bringing his cut of Suicide Squad to light.
Depending on who you ask, who writes the article, and the general position of the sun, you’ll get different takes on the fandom standing behind Zack Snyder. The difference, especially now more than ever, is that it’s not just the fans making noise. … Now? Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, former DC Entertainment President Diane Nelson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Joe Manganiello, David Ayer, Elinore Stone actress Karen Bryson, Christina Wren.
Unconvinced? Let’s go beyond the DCEU. Dave Bautista, Rob Liefeld, Kevin Smith, Jackie Earl Haley, Shang-Chi star Simu Liu, God of War animator and director Cory Barlog, X-Men star Stefan Kapičić, Watchmen showrunner Damon Lindelof.
As time goes on, the number of voices will just grow, not just in number, but more vocal. When local news, The Washington Post, the New York Times, just to name a few, are reporting on the Zack Snyder Cut of Justice League, even if through the lens of the A-list stars who tweeted about it, then you know people are beginning to take notice. Plus, you know a lot of the higher profile actors associated with Warner Bros. probably had to get clearance to tweet with that hashtag.
Henry Cavill Doesn't Know If a Snyder Cut Actually Exists But Wants to Focus on the Future of Superman
Cavill said, "I have not seen any Snyder Cut – I don't know if there is anything that exists that is a Snyder Cut. I'm sure there is footage out there which has probably been pieced together over the years. I'm always interested to see how that stuff turns out, but that is very much a chapter of my past. I would rather talk about what is going to happen in the future – the future of Superman, how I can express that character from the comic books. Which, ties in nicely to Man of Steel, I really like that movie, and I'd like to be able to tell the story where it was left at that point."
When asked by McCarthy if that Superman story will continue, Cavill said smiling, "I can tell you nothing, unfortunately. I can tell you nothing. But it would indeed be awesome."
Cavill's comments further support a recent statement from Justice League composer Danny Elfman, claiming that the Snyder Cut was "never finished." However, Elfman's claims are in direct contradiction to a statement from Jason Momoa (Aquaman) who said he has "seen the Snyder Cut."
Momoa has recently seen the Snyder cut. Why recently? It exists since May 2017. Is it possible that the footage has been pieced together over the years? Did Snyder need someone to confirm that the cut exist to get the fans all fired up exactly when HBO Max started announcing its acquisitions? Momoa’s Instagram post is from 08/16/2019. As far as I know, HBO Max announced its first acquisition on 08/01/2019. Then on 09/17 and on 10/17.

I said ZS is an opportunist. But let’s take a look at the other JL members.
EM
Doesn’t have social media.
RF
Most of his scenes were left out of the JW version of JL. So I understand why he wants the ZS cut released. He wants to see his scenes as part of the film.
JM
He’s the only one who has seen the ZS cut. I won’t be surprised if it’s better than the JW cut. Although, I’ll be really surprised if it is a lot much better. But I understand JM’s excitement for others to see a better version of JL. I also believe that he thinks he owes ZS, because ZS chose him to play a white (blue-eyed?) blond superhero. Of course, I think that ZS is taking advantage of JM’s gratitude.
BA
He said some ugly things about his role as the Daredevil and that role wasn’t as bad as his BM role in both BvS and JL. So I had my doubts about his participation in the #RTSC campaign. And voila! The first trailer for his new film “The Way Back” was released three days before JL’s second anniversary and the #RTSC commotion on Twitter. Pretending to be loyal to and a supporter of ZS could make him look good (after being seen drunk in public) and get some attention for his new film.
HC
He’s promoting Netflix’s crown jewel right now and shouldn’t be promoting anything that can give the competition more subscribers. And he said that he didn’t know about a ZS cut way before the #RTSC campaign on Twitter. Here is the article from 07/19/2018. JL was released 11/17/2017. In the same article he said that he’d rather focus on the future. So why are the #RTSC fans shocked about what he said? He just repeated things. Btw, ZS let BM took over MOS 2. So let BM use the #. HC said BvS was a BM film and JL simply didn’t work. Even though MOS was so-so, he claims he likes it and wants to continue with that. That’s his support to ZS, which is more than what he deserves.
GG
She always supports things that will make her look good to other women or that she thinks that WW should support. But it’s all a farce. She took a stance against Bret Ratner when her stance couldn’t have any negative consequences for her. Instead of backing her because it’s good for the actress playing WW to take such a stance, WB let her fall by releasing a statement saying that they cut ties with Bret Ratner long before GG voiced her anger.
She’s constantly talking about women empowerment and her support for the #metoo and #timesup movement because that’s what women want to hear and what WW would say. But she trashed her model colleague when she got raped. She filled her with shame and guilt like the whole thing was her fault. Maybe GG should watch this.
Lastly, she follows BA on IG and took smiley pics with him during the promo of JL. Of course she couldn’t take a stance against him. She would have ruined the JL promo tour and WB wouldn't have liked that. But it was all over the news that three women accused BA of touching them without consent. It was public knowledge that he openly campaigned for his brother, who was accused of sexual harassment, to win an Oscar. He also knew about Harvey W’einstein’s sleazy and bully behavior and did nothing, because that behavior “wasn't that uncommon.” But we know he kept quiet so he won’t lose money and film projects and… he thinks that because a certain behavior, like touching women without consent, is common, you should do it too or look the other way when it happens.
Btw, the guys took smiley pics with BA too, but I don’t hear HC talking about women empowerment and how he supports the #metoo and #timesup movement. Once you do that, you must be careful who you're friends with, take pics with and follow on social media.
Anyway, I don’t think using the #RTSC will have any negative consequences for GG. That's why she used it. It made her look good and she showed her gratitude to ZS for choosing her to play WW.

That was an awful thing to do. That statement was unnecessary. Let people think Wonder Woman took a strong stance. Now they made her a fraud.
Cavilll’s transgressions were worse. Rumor has it that he demanded creative control, producer credit and more money. He also refused the cameo in Shazam!. But Warner Bros. released a nice statement to debunk rumors that he was fired and arrogant.
"While no decisions have been made regarding any upcoming Superman films, we've always had great respect for and a great relationship with Henry Cavill, and that remains unchanged."
Warner Bros. didn’t hesitate to put Gadot in her place, but they have great respect for Cavill. I think that we can conclude that the arrogant stories are just fake.

Exactly! I’ve been saying this for centuries now. A big studio like WB won’t hesitate to send you to hell. But they didn't have to, because HC didn’t demand anything. He simply pitched a story. Outlets didn’t know how to react when he announced his role as G in NX’s TW. Everybody was expecting MOS 2, because of how popular SM was after his resurrection in JL.
So outlets created a story that MOS 2 fell through, because of HC’s ridiculous demands. They even said that he used TW to threat WB. Something like… um… If you don’t accept what I demand, I will sign with NX. Who can believe that WB, one of the film industry's major studios, will release a statement saying that they respect HC after all that? It doesn’t make sense. Or maybe HC has naked pics or sex tapes of the heads of WB. But if he does, where is my MOS 2 and 3?
Zack Snyder Proves That His JUSTICE LEAGUE Cut Exists and It's 3.5 Hours Long!
Zack Snyder seems to be getting tired of people saying that his cut of Justice League doesn’t exist, so he shared a photo of the film canisters that actually hold his cut of the film. Those canisters reveal that the runtime of the film is 214 minutes, which comes out to about 3.5 hours. That’s a long-ass Justice League movie!
Zack Snyder has revealed that his originally planned Justice League trilogy would have culminated in the sacrificial death of Batman. After helming 2013's Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Snyder returned to the director's chair for Justice League. Conceived as part of a five-movie DCEU plan, Snyder's Justice League would have merely been the first part of three films. The saga would not only have spanned time and become ever more cosmic in scope but would have featured Darkseid much more prominently. Unfortunately, those plans were scrapped when Snyder was forced to step away. In his stead, Joss Whedon completely reworked the story - with up to 80 script pages of reshoots that included making Steppenwolf the sole antagonist.
Zack Snyder has been holding court over on Vero, answering fan questions. One answer was a confirmation that yes, Ben Affleck's Batman was going to die by Darkseid's hand in the Justice League sequels:
If you don't know (or remember), Snyder's vision for Justice League was actually a trilogy that had a major DC villain (Darkseid) and a major time travel twist. As was previously teased by Snyder and confirmed by industry insiders:
Snyder's Justice League would play like the theatrical version, with one ending twist: Darkseid revealing himself to the League, as Steppenwolf's master.
Justice League 2 would've gone cosmic, with the League mounting an attack on Apokolips and Darkseid. That major event would've brought the New Gods of New Genesis and the Green Lantern Corps into the mix.
The second movie would've ended on a dark and ominous loss, as Darkseid thrashed the Justice League and killed Lois Lane, taking Superman prisoner and creating the "Dark Superman" we saw in Batman v Superman through the Anti-Life Equation.
Justice League 3 would've seen Darkseid invade Earth without the League there to defend it, conquering the planet and creating the "Knightmare" reality in Batman v Superman.
Through several time travel loops (including Flash's failed warning to Bruce in Batman v Superman) Batman would have to reach Superman and bring him back ot the side of good, so that the League could defeat Darkseid and save the world.

ZS must be making this stuff up to get fans excited. Why would WB change something that was finished? Why was this idea and his JL wrong?
The funny thing is that ZS is getting a good dose of his own medicine. It must hurt to see someone else take over your work and change it. It must hurt to not be able to finish what you started. Well, that’s how the fans of SM feel. We expected an SM trilogy, but BM had to be thrown into the mix. CN gave BM a proper trilogy. Why can’t SM have his? MOS 2 turned into BvS. And whether the ZS version of JL is ready or not, there is a good chance that the audience will never see. A filmmaker’s work is done when the audience see the film, because a filmmaker doesn’t make a film for himself. So the fact that the ZS cut is ready and WB won’t release it must hurt even more.

Justice League: Gal Gadot Hasn't Seen the Snyder Cut, But Hopes to One Day
Wonder Woman: 1984 star Gal Gadot says that she has not seen Zack Snyder's cut of Justice League, but hopes that one day it will be released.
In a recent interview with Cinepop, Gadot briefly talked about the Snyder Cut while promoting Wonder Woman: 1984. When Gadot was asked if she ever thought the film would be released in theaters or on a streaming service, Gadot replied, "I don't know. I think that the movie suffered from very, you know very unfortunate and sad, you know circumstances. I would have loved to see the finished cut of Zack, and I hope that one day we'll get to see it, but I don't know."
There's been interest in the Snyder Cut for the past two years, but the push to see Snyder's film has made a lot of progress these past few months. Snyder has continually shared BTS images from his version of Justice League, and last month, the hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut was trending on Twitter with over 60,000 tweets.
60,000? That’s it? That won’t generate $1 mil at the BO.
But if ZS has so many fans, where were they when MOS was released? We’re in this mess because MOS didn’t make enough money. Then we got BvS. Where were they when it was released? MOS made $668 mil. A film with SM, BM and WW should make at least $1 bil without much trouble, but it didn’t even make $900 mil. Nobody intervened with the making of BvS, but it has a measly 63% audience score on RT. Thus only 63% of 233,807 people gave it a 3.5 star or higher. So if ZS has so many fans, they should have bought tickets to BvS and give it a 3.5 star or higher. Now that everything is lost they are making a little noise on a free social media platform.
While Gadot has shown her support for the Snyder Cut, she is no doubt more focused on promoting Wonder Woman: 1984, which hits theaters next Summer.

Most of his scenes were left out of the JW version of JL. So I understand why he wants the ZS cut released. He wants to see his scenes as part of the film.
The black hero gets cut out of the film. JW had to cut Cyborg’s scenes to include some random family in the middle of nowhere into the story.
BA
The first trailer for his new film “The Way Back” was released three days before JL’s second anniversary and the #RTSC commotion on Twitter.
BA is using films to explain things about his life. TWB is about the struggles of an alcoholic. He’s been in and out of rehab. And he justifies his constant relapse by calling alcohol addiction a disease.
I don’t care what anybody says, but I don’t consider alcohol addiction a disease. Everybody knows that cigarette, drugs, alcohol and even sugar can make you crave them. But many willingly start using them. And when it turns out that they aren’t strong enough to stop, they call it a disease.
When exactly did ZS came up with a five plan film and a JL trilogy? It sure wasn’t when MOS was written.
They let LL figure out SM’s identity too easily. Everybody, especially BM, should be able to do the same. Good grief, Lex knows it too.
They’re going to use kryptonite in the second film, but they don’t mention it all in MOS.
They let the whole world know about an alien invasion. How will you justify the absent of WW, AM and even powerless BM in MOS. I think Cyborg and Flash got their powers after MOS. Shazam! certainly did.

WW didn’t have time to help fight aliens in 2013, but we will see her try to solve the Cold War conflict in 1984. I hope they explain this properly. It would be a shame to ruin a good film with mixed up continuity or timeline crap. WWI people were traumatized and desperate that they didn’t know what they were seeing. But 1984 people knew and many saw WW and knew about her powers. SM was a baby somewhere on a farm and BM was a billionaire orphan teenager. But in JL we found out that WW disappeared after WWI. She gave up on humanity, remember? BM told her to not tell him to move on, because it took her like a hundred years to move on after ST died. Actually, she hasn’t moved on yet. She only came back because Lex stole an old pic of her.

Comicbook

HC is focused on TW, the crown jewel of WB's competition. GG is promoting a WB film.

The black hero gets cut out of the film. JW had to cut Cyborg’s scenes to include some random family in the middle of nowhere into the story.
