It is an Aston. He was looking at the Audi at first.
I'm surprised his stockbroker dad recommended a car, especially since HC would have been working in the US. Didn't a poster on IMDB say the car was repossessed?
Refreshing to hear a different story from HC — going to Tom Cruise’s place.
I swore he was going to go for a laugh and say he pulled up at TC's fancy digs in an old bucket or something.
He didn’t get Ilya, but eventually got Cruise’s part when he backed out. I do wonder if during the audition, he had to do Ilya’s Russian accent. I wonder how he pulled off doing a Russian accent when in the past he’s shown not to be good doing different accents.
I don't think he had to do a Russian accent. Remember that link in which Guy had challenges getting HC to do an American and then settled on the fake mid-Atlantic one? I'm thinking during these read-throughs at Cruise's house it was more of a just spit out the lines thing.
It was well-known that early on, Tom Cruise was supposed to play the role of Napoleon Solo (the role that eventually went to HC when TC backed out from MFU to work on MI instead). Man From UNCLE was a popular series and Ilya Kuryakin was known to be a Russian character that often steals the show with his witty dialogue spoken with a Russian accent. If HC went to Tom Cruise’s house to do a ‘reading’ for the Ilya part, I cannot imagine him doing the reading without a Russian accent. That’s vital for the role he was auditioning for. If HC can’t do accents very well, as implied in the Guy Ritchie interview, I could see him losing out getting the Ilya Kuryakin role because of his inability to do a decent Russian accent, though I read elsewhere he also lost the role of Ilya because Guy thought he looked too much like Tom Cruise (which is not good because Ilya was emphasised to be physically different from Solo in the TV series). I could see more why Armie Hammer got the role, given he can do the accent, his blonde looks vs Cruise’s dark one, plus I think Armie’s roots is also Russian.

All good points but maybe HC this was a casting couch audition to be Tom's bf, because none of it makes sense. HC can't do accents and does not contrast too much with Tom, so why is he running lines as Ilya?

Henry speaks several different languages, maybe he can do the Russian accent.

Speaking and having an accent to sound like a native are two different things.
Here's an old interview with HC talking about Superman. It's interesting that he didn't mention Bryan Singer's name. He just said he was up for the role with a different director. Bryan Singer WAS his friend. I guess that didn't end well.

I read that before. It wouldn't surprise me if Bryan hit on Henry or asked Henry for sexual favors in order to get the role. Bryan is notorious for that

Me either. I read another person's encounter with Singer, and he said Bryan was all hands. He really went into detail, and sure enough, that confession was erased from the web.
After reading how Singer allegedly had no control of his urges, I am 100% certain he was that way around HC. I just don't know how they could have been purely friends.

I'm guessing that was a big factor into why Henry wasn't superman when Bryan directed.
But now Bryan won't have a career after all the dirt that is coming out about him, especially since he was fired from the Freddie Mercury movie

I think so too, but after reading that guy's confession, I think Bryan did get a feel. HC was a friend to Bryan, and it's an open secret that Bryan is a horn dog.
One guy said that Bryan assaulted him at his first meeting with him. This supports this other's guy claim that Bryan is an animal. There's absolutely no way you anyone can be around him, if he finds them attractive.
A blast from the past. Who knows? It may not be repeated as there is a big question mark as to whether the current DCEU and all its current cast will continue on.

Finally saw the Graham Norton MI interview. That's probably the most natural I've ever seen him. No pressure because of Tom?

I'll believe it when I see it. Bryan seems to be Mr. Teflon. He removed himself as producer from Legions, but he will resurface.
