So when is NOMIS coming out? Is it just going to be release through Netflix? He kind of looked like a caveman in that indie. Prefer his clean shaven look.

Who knows when this film will be released? When it started filming it didn't have distribution, so it's no surprise there is no release date.
He definitely looked more like a caveman than a cop in Nomis. In the US, cops can't have beards, but I don't know about Canada.

Hmmm.... So on a commercial plane flown by a pilot with more experience (flight hours) he needs a dog to calm him, but he’s fine flying a helicopter by himself? (Well, unless he takes Kal when he flies — what if Kal is the one scared of him doing the flying???)

For someone to have anxiety flying, why would he be quick to take up flying?
I'm scared of flying, but I don't need an emotional support dog.
Once, I was offered a chance to sit in a cockpit, but I wouldn't go anywhere near it. Freaked me out and I am one who doesn't need an emotional support dog.
