I’m curious, has HC become a good friend of Michael Shannon’s? He’s spent some time with him filming MOS, and I recall Michael was around Chicago (?) or MI when BvS was still filming in those locations. Just asking because I hardly follow HC in his social media, but I do wonder if he follows or says something supportive about his fellow actor’s films. By actors, I’m not referring to those in JL only.
Michael’s movie, The Shape of Water has been doing well ‘awards-wise’, so I wonder if HC had anything to say about his former co-star’s role there. Same with Armie’s movie which has done well, in terms of award too.

Too busy to check to see if he follows Michael Shannon, but he sent out a shoutout to Wonder Woman and hashtag Gal, when the DVD came out -- not the move.

His other friend, Luke Evans, is also doing well with a critically acclaimed new TV series (The Alienist). HC says likes historical stuff, would he like The Alienist, or is it not a historical period he would like?

I don't think HC would like material like the Alienist, but HC did like Dexter, which is a modern take on a serial killer. By the way, he didn't say a word about Super Normal, a project LE is executive producing.

That’s why I thought he’d like the Alienist. It’s Dexter meets a historical period setting. Honestly, I think he would fit in a role in such a movie as the Alienist... Like I always said, him going back to TV with a meatier character would do wonders for him than continue going on a quest to look like a Mr. Universe contestant.

Yeah, HC should really consider it, since his idol, The Rock, lands on TV for his show, Players, and Meryl Streep is now on Pretty Little Liars.

Players? I thought The Rock was in a TV show called ‘Ballers’.

Refreshing to hear a different story from HC — going to Tom Cruise’s place. He didn’t get Ilya, but eventually got Cruise’s part when he backed out. I do wonder if during the audition, he had to do Ilya’s Russian accent. I wonder how he pulled off doing a Russian accent when in the past he’s shown not to be good doing different accents.
The car story sounds familiar. I feel I’ve read about it before around the time his Dad seems to be the one who does his financial management.

I swore he was going to go for a laugh and say he pulled up at TC's fancy digs in an old bucket or something.

I don't think he had to do a Russian accent. Remember that link in which Guy had challenges getting HC to do an American and then settled on the fake mid-Atlantic one? I'm thinking during these read-throughs at Cruise's house it was more of a just spit out the lines thing.

Yep, that's retread information. The different spin is that he included his dad as a character in the tale, but I thought the car was an Aston Martin not an Audi.
