With the shooting of MI6 completed (unless they do reshoots), what’s next for HC? WB/DC has not announced a MOS2 sequel or planned release date yet. Would he make a cameo appearance in the other DC movies announced (ie Shazam, Aquaman, Wonder Woman 2)? If a Flash movie happens, it would be interesting to see if he and the Flash finishes the race they started in JL. (I recall in Smallville, the Flash one and showed he was slowing down a bit, then took off.)

Well, it doesn't really matter if WB announces another Superman project, as much as it matters will the director want another actor. So, once the hurdle of whether WB decides to move forward w/the project there is still another hurdle. Will the new director keep or pass on HC?

Well, he is supposedly contracted for one more (not sure if that’s for a full solo movie or to appear in character for the other DC movies). But then contracts have expiration dates, as what happened with Brendan Routh. (But perhaps HC’s contract is more binding?)

Yeah, you want to tell that to Andrew Garfield or Tobey McGuire?

Not sure Tobey’s situation was the same as Andrew’s. From what I heard Sam Raimi, the director of the successful Spider-Man trilogy for Sony, was suppose to do a 4th Spider-Man. Unfortunately, the 3rd Spider-Man he made didn’t do so well, and he was asking more money for the 4th, so Sony said no to him, and no more Spider-Man movies were made by Raimi. With Raimi leaving, so did Tobey. I am wondering about Tobey’s health too. He nearly got replaced in the second Spider-Man movie by Jake Gylenhaal because he was not well, but somehow he recovered so Jake never had the chance to wear Spidey’s costume. Maybe his health wasn’t so great after the third movie. However, Andrew’s and Tobey’s and even HC’s situation seems common that when the director who cast them goes, they may be replaced.

I’ve been wondering about whatever happened to the movie HC and his bro was supposed to be producing, ‘Stratton’, and found this interesting article/review of the film.
http://variety.com/2018/film/reviews/stratton-review-1202654086/#article-comments
The first paragraph is quite interesting:
Did the producers really think that Cavill would draw the crowd in? I know he did MOS already, but not sure if he had that ability to draw the crowd in. Even Chris Hemsworth’s non-Thor movies didn’t do so well. Also interesting that Connie Nielsen who played Gal’s mother in Wonder Woman is in the movie.
In the credits, it’s also interesting that HC and his brother’s production company, Prometheus was removed amongst the producers list. When Stratton was being discussed on IMDB we were wondering whether the Cavills’ production company would continue on in a producer capacity, but I guess they completely bailed. I do wonder if there were repercussions for the bros when HC bailed out 5 days before filming. I remember some actors who bailed out (for no serious reasons like medical reasons) can often get sued. I wonder if this is why the Cavills never had any other project lined up after.

I saw about 20 minutes of it. I had to agree w/the poster on that link:
Standard fare when attmpting to rip off Bond. Dominic Cooper is lack lustre and the best thing about this movie is the first minutes. and found this interesting article/review of the film.
Plus, it seemed as if they added the popular female Asian character to bring in receipts, although it was obvious she couldn't act at all. I can only imagine how this movie would have faired with non-acting HC in the mix as well.
They were hoping to have some trickle in interest from the DC crowd. If fans of DC liked HC's performance, the producers were hoping the DC massive fan base, even a fraction of it, would bring butts in their seats.
HC's production company was sued. The outcome most likely would have been a monetary payout to the producers, since they all entered into a contract together to produce a film.

If HC’s company did get sued, it’s quite something it wasn’t mentioned openly in the press. Do you think they settled out of court? HC must have felt burned after this experience so he’s not producing another movie anytime soon. He should take pointers from The Rock and his manager given the success of their Seven Bucks company.

I don't know how UK law works with disclosure, but it was stated that his company was being sued by his ex-business partners. Most likely, he must have settled out of court, because he really didn't have a legal leg to stand on --
Perhaps, Dany's attorney friend (who reps for HC) helped him in this matter, even though this case was based in the UK.
He's followed their pattern as in not using his own money, but he got burned because he bailed 5 days before filming. That cost the production team more money and put them at a greater loss.
That's equivalent to being a patient. You have the surgeon, but he bails days before the operation. You get sicker as the days pass while you look for another doctor.

Mission: Impossible 6 sees the return of Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Rebecca Ferguson among others. The film's villain will be played by Henry Cavill, who will be sporting the most famous mustache in recent memory, by virtue of the fact that he was contractually required to keep it during the filming of Justice League reshoots, requiring the use of CGI to remove it, which did a less than perfect job.
I had no idea he was the villain. =)

I figured he was the villain, because the other roles are established. He's a double agent, because he was seen in a shot with TC working together.

He must have read the discussion on IMDB about how good it may be for him to play a villain to expand the variety of roles he plays.

He may have. Then again, acting gigs are scarce. He's not going to turn down an opportunity to work with TC on a major project like this, because he may have to play a villain.

Speaking of Tom Cruise, he is reported to be back in London doing his own stunts again for MI6. As HC is also there, I wonder if he’ll be called upon to do more filming. He hasn’t shaved that facial hair yet.
