I agree. So, they can claim HC as Supes, but best believe, they'll jump ship and claim another as long as the story is strong.

Interesting that WB TV organised a major crossover event with past Superman actors (Welling, Routh) and even past Wonder Woman (Carter) for the Crisis Infinite Earths storyline. I wonder if they bothered approaching HC. Although if WB called him the way they called Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor in Smallville0) for the event, I can understand why he would not bother showing up. I wondered if they called past Batman actors as it is the Bat’s big anniversary this year. https://deadline.com/2019/09/smallville-star-tells-warner-bros-tv-to-take-a-flying-leap-1202744007/

Interesting. WB pays in peanuts. They paid HC $300k or less for MOS, which I guess was the going rate for no-names, but druggy RDJ, got $500k for his first installment??
Still, I doubt they called HC, because I think he would have reconsidered the errors of his ways and made an appearance this time.

Did HC get $300k or something less? Chris Evans was only paid $300k for his first Captain America movie, but before taking on the role of Cap, he already made 2 Fantastic Four movies playing Johnny Storm. So one would think CE would have gotten more than HC as he had more movies in his filmography than HC.
RDJ, I can understand the $500k. Despite the drug problems, he had an Academy Award nomination in his belt and he seemed to have friends that helped him out to get the role, ie Jon Favreu, Terence Howard (whom RDJ ‘allegedly betrayed’ when the casting came around for the Iron Man sequel).

Yes. Then, you think of taxes and fees to agents, publicists, and managers. No wonder HC demanded more cash, but I don't think it was the perfect time to do that right after coming off of underperforming films.

For the last two Avengers movies Chris Evans is reported to have revived $15 million. How much did you think HC got for BvS and Justice League?

Not that much, LOL.
The two Avengers movies made a billion each, and a lot of the actors' salary is based on box office. Did Evans receive $15 million each or for both? I do know that Marvel actors were in an uproar over their low pay at one point. That is everyone but RDJ.

I do think Grace Randolf is right in regards to that whole showdown between HC and WB. When I re-read McQ's statement that WB refused his offer to direct a MOS sequel w/HC, my ears perked up. McQ is a big time director, why would WB pass on him? I guess HC was attached to him.

I have read JJ Abrams was rumoured to re-cast Superman. I think Grace discussed JJ Abrams taking over the DCEU, and she didn’t sound so impressed. I am not a big fan of JJ Abrams, to be honest, but who knows? Maybe he’ll be able to fix the mess Zack Snyder made.
But you do wonder why Robbie and most of the other actors for Suicide Squad are coming back for a reboot.
I think it’s inevitable he’ll choose a new Superman. Directors seem to like to choose their own actors for their movies.
At least HC has The Witcher. The articles says it’s being renewed for 3 full seasons, so that’s good for him.

He may take over certain projects, but it isn't certain that he'll resurrect Superman franchise.
Maybe, because they didn't piss off WB.
True.
Pure speculation. Netflix isn't in the position to greenlight a project for 3 years. They are losing subscribers and there is more competition in the streaming service.

It's odd but the Witcher producer and stars will be at a comic con in Italy. HC is not listed. At this Italian comic-con they will release the second trailer and most likely the release date of the Witcher. Still, odd that Italy was picked.

Do you think he’ll make a special surprise appearance? It is an odd choice but maybe they have a lot of gamers there, so they find it worthwhile to have it there.

Well, he's not scheduled to make an appearance. It's just the two female leads, producer, and etc.

EW says the Witcher has been greenlit for another season. Interesting. . .

Interesting indeed. But everyone is trying to find another Game of Thrones, and this series is being compared to it even if it has not started yet. The trailers looks like it’s going to have great production values for a fantasy series
What I do find intriguing is that according to the director HC liked sleeping overnight in his trailer at the set of the series (cuts his travel time to get to the set?). At least this is what this article says:
https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a29819809/witcher-netflix-henry-cavill-geralt-role/
Why would he prefer a trailer than his hotel room? Didn’t he have an ol’ friend from LA who spent some weeks with him over there in Budapest?
