Discuss 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days

Here it is and what a delicious wreck this season looks to be.

2 obvious scammers. I think Ohio guy is choosing his partners too much by looks. He seems a decent guy and not bad looking. 2 divorces and now chasing a very plastic looking Colombian. Priorities, man.

Nigerian Prince, oh good lord. She seems a nice woman who is a softie, exactly what they look for. Will end badly.

Welcome back Darcy and Paul. Paul seems just as crazy and Darcy just as needy. What is up with Karine? Stuffed animals and sex toys? Jesse, just as creepy and controlling. Should be great TV!!

British guy, I hope this one works out. I like her. Preview didn't look promising, though.

I have a hard time picturing Jon as a player. He seems awkward around her, like not much experience.

Nigeria, TMI!!! I don't want to picture them doing it but she would NOT stop.

What parent in their right mind would approve of Paul as a a son in law?

Tariq's gf, about as real as it gets. She is not attracted to him but will make the best of it. I can't blame her for wanting out of Phillipines. So sad to hear her describe her life. She has no prospects for marriage there: too old, not a virgin. He seems like a good guy, just a little awkward. She could do worse.

Colombia, his issue was the braces?? Not waiting 2 plus hours? He is so shallow, I have no good words for him.

Then we have Darcy, how about preview for next week? I want love, pleeasse? She could challenge for most cringeworthy ever.

Me too.

Oh, I wanted to hear all of it. LOL.

The mother wasn't buying it, but she can't do anything w/her ho-a@@-daughter. Honestly, I think they are in the dark about Karine's behavior.

I would love to see her paired up with David. grinning I'm sure Annie wouldn't mind trading.

No, he didn't mind the braces. He just commented that it was something new.

Is it just me, or do they all look better in their online app or photos than they do in real life? Even the facetime stuff? The Americans and the foreigners.

Yes, that's due to all the filters on social media. It's okay I guess if you don't ever plan on meeting your love bug, but if you do, then you need to come correct and show your real self.

Ohhhh my, the fun continues. Seriously, this might be the best season yet.

DarJes: Part of me hopes this one is fake, because it is just so difficult to watch. Can he really be as much of a d-bag as he seems? The way he is always undermining her, blaming her for all their problems, god I just can't believe she would put up with it. That crying jag, I just want love, please. That is Dani level cringy.

Jon and Rachel are a snooze. Next.

Tariq, OMG what is up with his clothing choices. Muscle T is already a fashion no, but with a great big Egypt old graphic, matched with a plaid baseball cap? That is what he wears to impress his Asian Anjelina Jolie? Speaking of her, or her family, I know that type of church service happens in the US, but boy does it creep me out. I went to something like that with a friend in HS, probably trying to recruit me, and I just could not get out of there fast enough.

Speaking of poor fashion, how about our man Ricky? Do rag, camo (in SA!) and a fanny pack? If it weren't for Tariq I would call him worst dressed. This one is also not interesting to me because it seems pretty fake. It would have been better if he really had been catfished.

Angela, there are just no words for this one. The snail exchange, ewwwwww. Her clothing, ewwwww. The sex talk, ewwwww. She is no Dani, will not take no for answer so Michael better be prepared to be rid hard and often.

Miss Karine, she is quite the little player, isn't she? Locks down a ring, now wants a baby to seal the deal. Why are her parents OK with this? Are they delusional enough to think Paul is some kind of meal ticket?

It's obvious Jessie only flew over the pond to see the US. He had no excitement to see Darcy.

Jon and Rachel are a snooze. Next.

Agreed.

Wait, you didn't see Ricky's rags? (scroll) Oh, I see. Certainly, whatever Tariq wore pales in comparison to Ricky's terrorist getup. OT: By the way, I saw they are play a Project Runway marathon. Hopefully, it won't be long before new episodes appear.

I studied physical anthropology, and that is a common practice in a lot of regions in the world. The repetitive nature of the statement tends to send people into a frenzy. Tarik, being Black, should not have been acting all brand new. Now, he may not have attended such a church, but he shouldn't have been too shocked. Plus, the long service...

Well, my stepmother invited me to her church, and I thought I was being slick by arriving 90 minutes late, thinking I would cut the time down in half. Little did I know the service was five hours long.

This is where I disagree. Ricky was worse, because he looked like a terrorist. I was expecting him to be approached by cops at any moment. Plus, his body shape did not work in that outfit. Tarik is tall and lean, so he can get away with more than Ricky.

This one is also not interesting to me because it seems pretty fake. It would have been better if he really had been catfished.

According to the text message that Ricky wrote to Mel, he said to meet him at the nicest restaurant as friends. He's a gentleman. I think Mel might be a dude, because s/he didn't speak that much at the first meeting. Plus, s/he never spoke over the phone while they were dating online. It's just odd.

Angela, there are just no words for this one. The snail exchange, ewwwwww. Her clothing, ewwwww. The sex talk, ewwwww. She is no Dani, will not take no for answer so Michael better be prepared to be rid hard and often.

I think the dad is delusional not the mom. They are not okay with this, but I'm sure Karine's been around the block. Paul probably offers the most for their daughter. Plus, I read on another site that Paul and Karine were written up in the papers in Brazil, which made Karine a bit popular. The headline ran that a handsome American falls for a river girl. SMH.

I still haven't mastered responding to responses, so this will have to do:

I think Ricky thinks he looks cool, so while I can understand his look I can't forgive it. I don't understand Tariq's look at all.

I wonder if he is Muslim. He has an Arabic name, and he kept saying he believes in God but is not Christian. I would think that to be a major deal breaker for her parents.

Paul is handsome by Brazilian standards? They must think that white blonds are handsome by default.

No, he's just not religious as he said on the show. I check on his FB, and he said a statement that seems to support that.

"I am thankful for the people throughout history who gave their lives in the defense of science and enlightenment. A free thinking population is what religious and government leaders fear most. You can't control people who ask for evidence and can't be shamed into believing the ridiculous."

Tarik's post on FB

I know. Right?

Well, I guess they were trying to sell magazines or newspapers.

I think Ricky went to Colombia to meet the second woman. The first one was as fake as her fake chest. At least #2 looked like a real woman.

Jon's bros were the only interesting thing about their story. They are almost as great as Michael's bros. Gray jacket was especially funny. I'd hang with those guys.

Angela, where to start? At least Michael laid it right out there about what he expects from their relationship, so no crying when it falls apart. The boobage, the smoking, the public peepee talk, the bros reactions were the best!!

Tariq's shirt, good god. I thought last week's was bad. He seems like an ordinary enough guy, who is dressing him? And the brother, I understand why he would question Hazel's motives, but damn was that man rude to her. Tariq just sat there, she is probably more upset about that than the brother.

I am losing interest in Paul and Karine. She knows what she is getting but seems determined to go ahead with it. Good luck to her, she is going to need it.

Darcy and Jesse, a lot of their bickering feels fake to me. It just comes out of nowhere. I have to cry fowl about the wardrobe choice by Darcy again. Was she wearing leather shorts in one of those scenes? She is just too old for leather shorts.

You are full of conspiracies. spy_tone3

According to his text messages to fake chest, he said he wanted to meet as friends or something along those lines. Basically, he made the "relationship" to be more substantial than it was.

What gets me is that laugh or dare I say cackle that seems to come out of nowhere.

I thought he told him to ease up or something, and that's when Dean said that there is something wrong when someone can't straight up answer a question.

Darcy and Jesse, a lot of their bickering feels fake to me. It just comes out of nowhere.

To me, it seems authentic. Jesse is a guy who is just teetering on going off the rails. Any and everything -- little thing -- will set him off, and Darcy tries to steps on that thin line he draws in the sand.

I have to cry fowl about the wardrobe choice by Darcy again. Was she wearing leather shorts in one of those scenes? She is just too old for leather shorts.

Too old for leather shoes?

upside_down

Leather is the most common material in all shoes.

Hmmm... me thinks you don't like Darcy.

Shorts, not shoes. I don't dislike Darcy, I just think she dresses too young. Your description of Jesse sounds a lot like your description of Anfisa. He does have that vibe. The first time he was featured on the show I got an immediate, strongly negative reaction to him. I couldn't have told you why, just a very visceral NO.

Angela's laugh, ikr? I loved it when she told off the bros and blew a nice smoke ring for emphasis.

Thanks for the clarification about fanny pack. Still a fake relationship.

I think Hazel just couldn't deal with the direct confrontation by brother of Tariq. Asian culture is like that in general, strong emotion and direct confrontation just makes them shut down.

ok_hand_tone4 but I like her designer clothes.

They are cut from the same cloth. Jesse may be less materialistic, but he's body conscious like Anfisa. They are both controlling, and they both want America not their partners.

Thanks for the clarification about fanny pack. Still a fake relationship.

LOL. Fanny Pack. purse

Philipinos are more vocal than other Asians, and I would like to know the reason why she gave up her son. Poverty hasn't stopped other mothers from raising their children. If that is truly the reason, why didn't she tell Tarik?

Hazel's backstory is very murky. She has an ex and a baby daddy. Are they the same person? Is she divorced? A former prostitute?

Dean is right? What woman leaves her clothes at an ex's place? Who falls in love in five weeks? She said she had her son for three years but gave him to his dad. WTF?

She got some explaining to do, and I think that is why she shut down.
