Ok I've been watching the show and I only have 2 episodes left. I loved certain parts of the show and dislike others. Instead of just complaining I wanted into know 1 thing you love about the show and 1 thing you dislike. So this post isn't all negative, but a balance of good and bad.
I love Colleen Wing, she's a badass and Jessica Henwicks acting is great. Her fighting is by far the best in the show.
I hate the way the fight scenes were shot and edited. Everything is too close up,too shaky. It's like they didn't know how to shoot intricate martial arts fights scenes.

The story is more important than the stunts? They are equally important. You cannot sell the story of the Iron Fist without story, part of that story is showing him as the Iron Fist, showcasing his abilities, making you believe he had the skills to kill a dragon. He has the skills to possibly take down the Hand; be the protector of Kun lun. The fighting in this show should have been better than any other of the Netflix shows.

I'm utterly bewildered that you think that that scene in dare devil is better choreographed than the fight scenes in Iron Fist. I have no idea what you are seeing. I give up.

Either way it's been a nice debate :)

What I liked most about Iron Fist is the stuff we didn't see.
All of the references to the Iron Fist mythology were vivid and poetic.
If you're a fan of the comics, you know some of the answers to these questions but, as an unindoctrinated, casual viewer, this stuff must seem somewhat intriguing (if you go for that sort of thing).
The world of the Iron Fist is rich in metaphor and allegory. It is violent and mysterious. It adds to and enhances the more grounded world that the previous Defenders inhabit.
There's a goldmine waiting to be claimed by the talented and mindful crew who can successfully juxtappose the ancient world of the Iron Fist with NYC's corporate intrigues, murderous violence and urban decay.
I love superhero mythologies that require the hero to earn their position/gifts through combat and trial. A freak accident that gives you power and turns you to good makes you and adventurer. Facing primal emotions like doubt, fear and rage make you a true hero.
"A child touched by fire" - those five words spark the imagination.

The more I think about it, I may have even loved it. I freely admit it has flaws but, the world of Iron Fist is too compelling not to get another season.
