I'm befuddled by Azan, too. It HAS to be just be for the show, or the money he gets from the show, or his family really wanting him to move there so he can send money back home... because there's really zero reason to stay with Nicole. Even before she started slinging him around like a ragdoll...the cheating thing is enough for some people to call it off. And he doesn't seem physically attracted to her, and they don't seem to have anything in common. And he seems to like Morocco. Soooo what are you doing fool

Or yeah, Poetist, maybe gay and she's just a "beard" and he wants to go to America because there's more freedom to be gay there, or something...

Well, when the model casting people actually said "yes" I figured that at least had to be fake. I guess the whole thing was. So, yeah, I don't know. I guess I can't think of anything concrete Josh has done on the show that is terrible (if his insistence on parading her around like a piece of meat was fake). But the former possible domestic violence charges are influencing me I guess? In any case, they seem to have zero chemistry and don't even like each other. I guess she just wanted a sperm donor in America. Weird people. I wish they had more genuine couples. Elizabeth and Andrei at least seem like that. I guess David (Spanish) and Evelyn are, too, even though they also don't seem to like each other at all.

TLC airs repeats of these episodes "extended" with a couple of scenes added. I never watch them. I heard that one episode had a scene of Josh telling Aika that he would like her to be more "toned." Strange thing to say to a woman who he supposedly thinks is the hottest cheerleader on the squad. A d-head thing to say. I would have loved it if she'd replied that she'd like him to get his teeth fixed.

Annie seems to be cut from the same cloth as Aika, but she will remain with Older-Than- 48-David, because she wants a better life for herself. There's even talk that Annie was a hooker, which is possible, because who in their right mind would be attracted to David, if he's not attached to some money? :

Why? Both men should be having a countdown to sex, but they don't seem bothered. David, to me, doesn't seem to be all that religious, and he overreacts on the subject of sex. I'm sorry just because your family only brought up the subject once does not make you HYPER sensitive to the topic. If David blushed or was a little quiet, I can give him a pass, but he didn't want to hear about his fast-approaching wedding night.

The only thing I can say about Azan is that he hasn't returned to the well after he slept with Nicole. He can go long periods w/o sex, and when he can probably sneak and get some, he doesn't. Well, he did it once during Nicole's first trip to Morocco but not anymore. He seems to enjoy his role as a father to May though and hanging out with his friends. Well, that's something positive, but Nicole won't be happy with just that.

Second biggest train wreck, Homer Simpson and Thai hostess/hooker. He becomes a bigger loser with each episode. Her life in Thailand must suck in a major way to see him as a better option. I don't think she is going anywhere.

Finally, the low point. I officially hate Luis with a burning passion. Up to this point Ive seen him as a not too bright cabana boy who got lucky. Tonight I saw differently. He is a pretty skillful manipulator. He knew exactly which buttons to push with Molly. I wanted to reach through my TV and smash his sleepy eyed mush mouth face into a bloody pulp. Yup, he moved me to a violent rage. This is Mohammed level stuff I am talking about.

They did and it is staged to a point. I believe the producers wanted to move the storyline along and get more facts about this fertility angle. Therefore, there was a visit to the doctor. I do not see why Aika wants blood from a turnip. Josh can't give her a kid or money.

Ok ok johnnieblack, you were right, Andrei was being unreasonably obnoxious/possessive last night. Although I hate how much this show makes me question how real any/everything is. Like, they've been pushing the whole "omg the dreaded bachelorette party" plot-line the entire season, so they needed him to have some kind of bad reaction, right? Otherwise it would just be a big flop, lol. I hope it was exaggerated for the show. Who knows. But yeah, she really didn't have strippers or come home barfing and hungover so his reaction in the show (whether real or not) was uncalled for. I do agree with him and her that it's annoying though if the sisters are (actually) really trying to get a rise out of him.

Aika/Josh...could be staged as well, who knows. I didn't like her projecting it all on him when she's the old one, but, whatever, I kinda don't care.

I was also mad at TLC last night with the David/Evelyn thing. It was really obviously edited every time he spoke. I'm all but convinced he was saying "I don't want to talk about sex ON CAMERA" or "IN FRONT OF OTHER PEOPLE." But they conveniently cut off the sound every single time he talked after he said "sex." I even saw his mouth still moving while saying it. They kept cutting him off mid-sentence, to make him seem as weird as possible. I still think his reaction last week was over the top but...I don't know. I'm getting somewhat disenchanted with how fake/obviously edited things are. How are we supposed to do our armchair psychology with these people if we're being totally manipulated by the editing lol?

The best part was the owl thing, though. LOL. (And who knows, maybe that was fake, too). I really wanted to just smack Luis in that scene though, too. He was SO infuriatingly flippant while she was getting really upset. Ugh, that kind of attitude is terrible! And he seemed to be gaslighting her for sure! She was trying to talk about how she doesn't think she can be with him, when he just doesn't care, bosses her around, doesn't want to be with her kids (and flat out said he doesn't ccare about his relationship with them), and he does a 180 and starts talking about demonic owls and buddhas...and kept talking about how she had no "God" anywhere, when she has crosses everywhere too, wtf? (and she mentioned a bible quote, and a bible in Kensley's room). But he wasn't listening to her AT ALL...very gas-lighty. And she was getting so infuriated, unfortunately still actually trying to reason with him when he was purposefully being irrational, patronizing, and not listening while making it like it was all her fault. Ugh. Rumor has it (on reddit) that they still end up getting married, which is terrible, if the way he's acting on the show is true. He was such a gaslighting, infuriating jerk in that scene. She really should kick him out for real. She was upset and he thought it was all just a joke. I have to say the scene made some funny threads on reddit (I don't post there, I just lurk...they can be too mean-spirited / hitting below-the belt for me) ... like this one in particular made me laugh owls

Luis was doing the classic deflect and accuse technique of conflict avoidance. Make the other person seem crazy. It worked like a charm. Again, showing he is much better at this game than we saw initially. BTW, the reddit thread was hilarious. Yes, I get frustrated by how much of this seems staged. I hadn't picked up on the David cuts, but that does make sense. You would think a 27 year old male virgin would be salivating by this point.

It's infuriating to watch as an outsider, because we could all see how ridiculous and manipulative he was being while she still attempted to talk reason. Strangle-worthy! I'm sure we've all been there though (as in, in her position. Lord knows I was a lot during my youth!) And I'm glad you appreciated the evil owls, too :P
