I mostly have memories of watching the original CBS run of MI with my dad. I can remember scenes, but not the eps they were in. See if you hard-core fans can identify these episodes for me. I'm sure I have some of the details wrong.
Barney Collier and Jim Phelps go undercover in some kind of prison camp. Barney assumes a Spanish accent. Cinnamon and Roland play the part of visiting doctor and nurse. I think their mission is to identify an agent and rescue him from the prison, but I could be wrong on that. I clearly recall, at the episode's climax, the team in a Plymouth (I think) station wagon busting through the prison camp's fence with the other prisoners cheering them on and the signature "Mission: Impossible" theme playing.
I'm afraid I have even foggier memories of this one. No idea as to the main plot. I recall the ending scene (I think) in which the bad guy bursts through a door to find 2 or 3 IMF team members racking shotguns and drawing down on him. I remember thinking, at the time, that this was about as direct as I'd ever seen the team act.
Roland is posing as a prisoner. The idea is to make it seem as if he is suffering a heart attack. Barney uses a cool radio-controlled hover craft to get the necessary drug to him through the place's ventilation system. This may have been a two-part ep.
Cinnamon is captured and tortured for information. They use her claustrophobia against her. My dad did not like this one at all. I recall being distressed by seeing a well-established character going through the torture.
Roland assumes the identity of a man on Death Row. We see him being taken to the gas chamber. It is all a ruse, of course, to get another guy to name his crime boss. This was a very controversial ep. I remember a TV Guide Magazine article about it in which the late Martin Landau spoke of doing the scene. He said it was the most difficult scene he'd ever done.
Paris assumes the identity of some kind of prophet or cult leader. They fake him surviving a massive electrocution originally set up by someone else.

Jetfire59: Before I commit to an answer to # 2, I have a question about it, and you may not know the answer. Maybe it will jog Maria's memory as well.
I vaguely remember that scene too. . Were the IMF agents with shotguns on a second floor scaffolding loft looking down onto a warehouse floor?

I still can't place the episode, but what I remember is, that it may have been a syndicate episode. Gangsters rather than spies, but an early one, season 1 or 2. I remember Willie in a suit and tie on a loft, racking a shotgun at at the baddies on the warehouse floor. I'll remember it about 4:00 in the morning

Please accept my belated welcome back as well, MK. We missed.you. As I told sunshine, paraphrasing a line Capt. Picard said to Worf; "The board was not the same without you."

I could cheat and look it up, but I'll just capitulate. Your MI knowledge vastly out does mine.
