As we all know, since Lynda Day George was on maternity leave during part of season seven, Barbara Anderson stepped in as replacement agent Mimi. Mimi had quite a different background compared to the other female IMF agents. I believe that in her first appearance she was let out of federal prison to participate in the mission, and as a result of her helping, she was freed and taken off parole. Jim then offered her a place on the team while Casey was on another assignment. What was your opinion of Mimi?

I don't have as good of a memory of seasons six and seven as I do, say for example, the first three seasons. For some reason I do remember that episode from season seven that you mention, Maria.
I specifically remember Jim saying that "the Secretary" approved Mimi's temporary assignment to the IMF. At the time, I remember thinking that "the Secretary" should be out of the loop by now, since the team is fighting a domestic crime syndicate threat, rather than those from foreign sources.
I don't remember anything more specific about Mimi and her contribution to the team, but she must have acquitted herself well. No major faux pas come to mind.

@lima-2 : As other people have noted, the reason the producers may have done that is because of what happened when they tried to replace Peter Lupus with Sam Elliott in season five.

LOL. Yes, you may quote me from your thread, "We need to talk about Doug."
"The script writers went to great pains to explain, via dialog, that Casey was "on assignment" and that "the Secretary" approved the temporary addition of Mimi to the team. That was a departure from the Geller formula, of not explaining anything. Paramount execs (maybe?) wanted to ensure that the fans knew Casey would be back."

I liked Mimi. My memory isn't as strong as yours about her, but I remember liking her and what jim said at the end about offering her a place on the team and all

I liked the episode too. From what I remember, Mimi would get out prison if she helped the IMF catch some bad guy she knew. I believe that William Shatner in that episode as well.
Anyhow, she helped catch the bad guy, she didn't have to parole, and Jim said that since Casey was working in Europe, etc, etc, etc, would she like to work with them, she said yes, end of episode.
P.S. Sorry that writing is a bit wobbly, I took my migraine medication, so I bid everyone Au Revoir.

How many episodes was she in? I'm sorry about your migraines. I hope everything is ok.

According to our old friend IMDB, Barbara Anderson was in seven M:I episodes.
No, migraines are "no fun." When my wife was (what I guestimate) Maria's age to be, she lived on migraine meds. That "Au Revoir" sounded ominously final. Hope you'll be back Maria!

Thank you for your concern. My neurologist gave me some meds that are really helping. I also harve Tinnitus, which doesn't help matters. And for Au Revoir, in the French language, they two ways to say goodbye: Au Revoir is goodbye, i'll be back, and Au dieiu (sorry for the mistake), goodbye, it'll never see you again. Again, thanks for the support, it makes me feel happy.

I rechecked this post and it sounded very loopy and/or stoned. I'm feeling much better and I'm back. Thanks for your concern.

Barbara Anderson (Mimi) trivia question: Name the Star Trek episode she appeared in. Also, name the TV series where Barbara Bain made an appearance AS Cinnamon Carter.
