讨论 The Big Bang Theory

I've recently started carrying a new pocketbook, and it is larger than my previous one. I usually carry it on my shoulder, but on the way out of work today I carried it down low with the handles in my hand and in doing so, bonked it loudly against the wall repeatedly (without meaning to). The receptionist said she wondered what was wrong as she heard me approaching.

Also, I have fallen up the stairs before.

Please tell me you've done things as un-couth. Or even un-couth-ier.

I've walked into a glass door or just any door more than once.

I've never walked into a door, but I roll my ankle sometimes and nearly fall. Wearing heels doesn't help. One morning. I rolled my ankle trying to get into the car and spilled apple juice all over the car door, the car seat and my dress. And of course that morning some guy I had never seen before was walking around the cul-de-sac. Never seen him before and never seen him since. I think he was planted there to witness my fail!

The other day I was trying to make one trip from the car carrying books, grocery bags, mail and a Styrofoam coffee cup. Did you know you can't squeeze a Styrofoam coffee cup without something bad happening?

No, coffee doesn't usually take kindly to being squished. It really wants your undivided attention.

And I assume there was no brownie in this scenario because you already ate it in the car?

That was my car brownie.

Ah yes! And you ate your house brownie after you got inside. That's kind of like me. I have a house lipstick and a pocketbook lipstick. Except I don't eat my lipstick or spill crumbs of it down my shirt.

You know, we could try to "out-dork" each other. For example, are you able to top this one?

I went to an Aerosmith concert once where the opening act was Slash. I attempted to look like the cool person I think I am, and sang along to Sweet Child O' Mine, hair whipping in the wind. (There was a severe thunderstorm at the time.) Turns out I botched part of the lyrics and confidently sang the wrong words for all to hear. Thankfully most people around me were under the influence of one thing or another by the time I belted out "sweet lover blind".

So you are saying my above admission makes me doubly-dorky?

Cool people don't go to Aerosmith concerts.

They do go but they go ironically.

Thank you wonder, for distracting from the fact that Z and Tim are picking on me. I wonder who would have sung the song, "Love in a broken elevator"? Actually that seems like the ideal scenario. I mean how much loving can you accomplish on a functioning elevator? 2-3 floors worth? In a broken elevator you have all the time you need.

@Lemons

So you are saying my above admission makes me doubly-dorky?

Dorks don't go to Aerosmith concerts either.

Escalator of Life

Well, I went to this Aerosmith concert because I am a nice mom and wife. The men in my life wanted to see it and I went along for the ride. During the same trip Mr. Lemons and I nearly got divorced underground because I refused to ride the 75-story-high escalator out of the DC metro. It's a wonder I'm not still down there!

Fitting that the singer of the escalator song you posted is named "Hazard".

Evidently you forgot the part about suing because it wasn't your fault the coffee was "too hot," then you get rich and you're set for life!

So what concerts do you go to that you want to go to? You went to that "The Band" tribute show you wrote me that the boys wanted to see, and this Aerosmith show the boys wanted to see. What about that Belamy Bros(?) show. Was that your choice or theirs. Where does a Lemon go for musical entertainment! Also don't look up love on an escalator because you get videos of people touching strangers on passing escalators.
