We have been a community for years, it doesn’t have to end because the show ended. Our board still exists on “filmboards.com “ and all our old posts from imbd are still there. Most of the imbd boards are there as well.
Filmboards is run by a guy named Nimda and he’s happy for new members. Join us over there if you like. The Game of Thrones finale is coming and I’d love to discuss that too!

I'm definitely excited that you're here!! Seeing more "familiar faces" from IMDb always makes me very happy- and I hope you'll keep posting here. I think this board has seen more action in the past week than it has all year and I've been loving it. I'd love to build on the momentum!

Guess so then. Also since fancy mysterious strangers often ride in on railroads carrying those carpet bags Knixon could be a Karpetbagger too, but he will have to tell us what role he is.

Hey Z, if you go look up there at your last post with all the different layers of quotes of each other back and forth, it kind of looks like 50 shades of grey.
By the way I've never watched that show.
Also I will answer your new thread later this evening. I must go eat food.
Also, poptop I hope you saw my answer up there before the 50 shades of grey.

My recollection is that they scheduled and announced the shutdown for like the 21st but actually closed it several days or a week early.

I'm reminded of an episode of The Simpsons where they're visiting a small town in the country or something. There's a store-front building with a sign that says "Sneed's Feed And Seed." And below that "Formerly Chuck's"

Not to be contrary, but they did close it down on the day they announced it would, just earlier in the evening than most of us expected. Believe it or not, I took a picture of my very last post (which I think may have actually been the very last post on the entire board) and I just checked it. It was a response to Wabbit and it was on Feb. 19th, a Sunday, which is when we were told it would close. I think we were thinking more like midnight, though, and it was actually more like late evening (where I live). I guess it was midnight somewhere!

Perhaps midnight GMT or something. But I thought it was closed down early by at least a day or two, not just hours. Because they wanted to avoid a lot of last-minute bashing etc. Like that movie whichever one it was, I'm not sure, maybe "Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World?" If you know an asteroid is going to destroy earth, do you warn people weeks or months in advance so they have plenty of time to riot and burn and loot etc?

On my end, the IMDB board shut down earlier than most of us expected but on the day that had been announced. Poopy move on their part. Still avoid that site. The virtual communities that were scattered must be countless.
This one never fully re-grouped. I vaguely remember us investigating new sites and discussing them before the shut-down. I think I even recruited Lemons to come to this one! But...things were never quite the same. And...after a while I stopped logging on every day to see what you all were talking about. And I'm bummed that happened. It's been nice hearing/reading your voices again.

I was somewhat of a regular on the old The Big Bang Theory IMDb board. I mostly read the topics, but would chime in from time to time.
I wasn't sure where to go when they closed the boards on February 19th, 2017. After a few years of observing activity on other sites, I settled with Primetimer for TV shows (a lot of responses for TBBT) and MovieChat (good for movies and actors). This place was always somewhat dead, and Filmboards still has way too many trolls.
I thought the finale was a bit underwhelming, but the speech from Sheldon made me sad. The one thing I wish they had done was reveal Penny's maiden name. I suppose the showrunners still want to keep it a mystery.
Thank you to everybody for the discussions over the years.

Well the elevator got fixed and Penny got pregnant. I'll take either of those over finding out her original last name, any day.

Erica, you're being a stranger. Where the heck are you? I hope you're OK.
