Is anyone following the "Roseanne Barr" debacle?
Turns out that "loose lips" not only sink ships; they also get shows cancelled--even top-rated ones.
What, 200-300 people out of a job-- JustLikeThat! They are all probably thinking: Where is a “sheep dip” when you need one!
No doubt Whitney Cummings is somewhere lighting candles and thanking her lucky stars that she "slipped-through-the-exit" before all of this went down.

Job security in the entertainment industry has never been stable or guarenteed. You would be very fortunate to get a job in any sitcom especially a top rated one. That's life.
Besides that I would have to say that the vast and great majority of people in Los Angeles and even Southern California , don't work in showbiz or want or have to.

Also true. Nobody working on Roseanne, including crew, should have imagined they had any kind of steady gig.

In case anyone is interested; an article from "Newsmax". Maybe they are a little better informed; but, no doubt still guessing--same as the rest of us.
Disney Owns Roseanne: Don't Count on a 'Roseanne' Reboot

Even though 'Roseanne-II' was “her baby” too, I don’t see it either. She is quite the busy-beaver; not only in front of the screen, but she is also a heavy-hitter behind the scene. Starring in a Reboot would definitely take a bigger bite out of her time than just co-starring did.

Excerpts from a USA Today article (06/13/18):
'Roseanne' is TV season's biggest winner and loser; here's the rest
“Nielsen data for the full 2017-18 season, out this week, shows that "Roseanne" was the No. 1 series, with a final average of 20 million viewers, but its nine-episode first revival season was also its last.”
“CBS narrowly won the broadcast ratings race for the 10th consecutive year, despite NBC's airing of the Winter Olympics and Super Bowl. But NBC claimed the top prize among young-adult viewers for the second year in a row.”
Top network series
All viewers
Adults ages 18 to 49
-1. Must be the first time in TV history a show has been the biggest winner and the biggest loser--all in one season.
-2. Always good to see Modern Family eating Big Bang's dust.
-3. Surprised Will and Grace did so well. Thought it's old fans would have aged-out; and nothing about it would attract new ones.
-3. Not at all surprised about how well This Is Us did. If it were a gemstone it would be a Red Diamond.
-4. Never heard of 9-1-1. Now will have to check it out.

Even "Young Sheldon" has overtaken "Modern Family".
I haven't watched more than a commercial for 9-1-1. It looks like just another interchangeable cop show/drama

Turns out 'Barr' has been nominated for an Emmy Award.
Don't even want to imagine
what that acceptance speech would sound like if she won.

But what about all the poor people who would have worked on the show that replaced it? Now they don't have jobs! Waaaaahhhhhh!!!!

It sure looks like it's a go...
Must have been some mega wheeling and dealing going on to get that one off life-support and back on its feet!
