So far there have been two weddings on the show, Howard and Bernie's rooftop/satellite wedding (my favorite), and Leonard and Penny's standard outdoor canopy wedding. I believe that what Sheldon would really like is a Star Trek wedding with vows in Klingon, Stephan Hawking officiating and a robot ring bearer, while Amy would prefer the same kind L and P had. I and I think many fans of the show would like to see would be a more elaborate wedding or even two, one romantic and another geeky. This brought to mind the whole wild world of theme weddings, Star Trek Weddings, Star Wars Weddings, Harry Potter Weddings, Anne of Green Gables weddings, etc...
Have you ever attended one of these ? Do you like the idea ?
And for Calabrian Queen might you be planning an Anime/Taylor Swift combo theme wedding ?
I have never been to one myself.

The only theme of the weddings I've been to was "wedding", however I am open to S&A having a themed wedding. It would certainly fit Sheldon. Only trouble is, I see them having a hard time agreeing on a theme. We might end up with a Star Trek guy* and Laura Ingalls Wilder at the altar.
*Like my exact terminology?

So basically the marriage of the character's from Amy's "Little House" fan fiction, the country girl and the time-traveling scientist.

Would it be too much to expect that Sheldon would finally become an adult? I'm not saying that he can't enjoy the things he likes but he has to grow up sometime, marriage is for grownups. I also hope they NEVER have children.

Do you have multiple personalities, or are you a conjoined twin?
To answer your questions, no to both.

I've been to TWO themed weddings. The first was a college friend who had an English regency era themed wedding. Yeah, she made us wear the exact dresses you're thinking of. The other was my cousin who had a beach wedding a few years ago. I don't know if that counts as a theme, but it wasn't traditional, more like a beach party with mostly friends .
I'm not planning on any themes but that's 2019 , I have time to think about it.

Never been to a theme wedding. Don't care much for the idea, but liking it or not would depend on how it's done. Consider a marriage ceremony a religious/serious undertaking (yes, I’m aware of the religious-or-not debate). Don't think any augmentations that call to mind "acrobats and fire-eaters” has any place at a wedding.

I've been to a LOT of weddings in my life but never anything too gimmicky or themed. It's pretty much been the same garden variety tux and cake affair. The only exceptions have been College buddies who got hitched in Vegas drive by weddings and attempted annulments weeks later.

I wondered about that too. Maybe they were attempted but failed because there was too much consummation in the meantime?

To paraphrase an old saying: Marry in haste, repent at leisure.

Yup. One of my college buddies tried to get a impulse wedding annulled and as it turns out it didn't qualify for annulment. Nevada required a residency period and he sure as hell never lived there.
They ended up having to move there for a certain amount of time, then go through with the annulment process once the criteria was met.
To this day I still speak to him and the girl , they're Facebook friends and are still on fairly amenable terms .

Sounds like maybe they would have been okay staying married. But sometimes marriage does change people.

No I haven't attended one of those... and, NO, I don't like the idea. They are stupid. :)
Well, weddings are stupid anyway. No one should ever waste so much money on just a one day event, that is incredibly stupid. Use that money for a honeymoon or a vacation. Use it for yourselves. :)
