I didn't post on IMDB's Big Bang board very often, but I am a fan and an IMDB refugee.

did you all import your lists before closing your acc. I imported my 4695 rated movies and tv series here I really didn't want to lose them after all that work over the last nine years on imbd.very thankful for tmdb for setting it up so we could do it.

Me too Goth. I popped in around dinner time, read a couple of posts, and thought "I'll swing by a bit later and bid my farewells", but at 8:30 PM it was gone. I really think IMDB will be stunned at the drop in traffic they are about to see. I actually deleted my account to make a point. Because without the boards, there's no point to having one.

I'll bet a lot of people were devastated. I got home around 10:00 EST thinking I'd have plenty of time to log on. Hope more of the old crew show up. I've hopped on redditt and imdb2 and not seeing much new activity yet. Maybe some are like Lemons and are just going to take a break.

Hello. I made it over here as well. I saw the Forums board for BBT. It's informative but I'm not crazy about its organizational structure. There is such a thing as being TOO organized. This looks a bit better.

Anyway, good to see so many IMDb refugees here, even though the word "refugee" is a dirty word these days thanks to our current administration. And I'll have to start bothering the mods here to let me edit pages. At least I can point to IMDb for my resume. :-D

Glad to see ya Murph. I tried a few other boards. MOVIECHAT.org mirrored a lot of the IMDB boards, but it's virtually dead. REDDIT just seems like information overload. This seems pretty straightforward and easy. FWIW I think I'm going to settle here, and keep an eye out on other sites.

I like this one and MovieChat, too. It's nice to have options.

MovieChat 'looks' very good but something doesn't feel right about that place.

MURPH! I'm so glad I found everyone - i logged on to say goodbye and it had already been shut down!

I try to write on every board that I'm interested in to help this site get some momentum.
