Seinfeld.
The Sopranos.
Mad Men.
These are three modern-era TV shows that had a clear sense of story and knew when to quit. They planned the final episode while their respective shows were enjoying fine ratings and reviews. The called it quits while their shows were still popular. They stemmed the supply while the demand remained high. And we can ever enjoy what they did through syndication.
If only TWD had emulated this.
If only.

Of course. I prefer personality, intelligence and sense of humour over looks, as that is what makes a person more attractive. I've never watched or heard of Scorpion. What channel is it usually on?

Correction: CBS Network
It's not for everyone. So I don't know how much you would like it.

Used to be on ITV2, but I don't think that they've picked up the current season (4). Seasons 1 to 3 are on Netflix. Although I'm still watching (we have a few "fluff" shows that we watch when we want something undemanding), I'd say the pilot is worth a watch and if you imagine a big budget cut and even more unlikely science thereafter you'll have a good idea of the course of the show.
"You" turn up in S3, still looking fine. Poor old Robert Patrick looks like he's wondering if he put his teeth in in this picture: http://fr.web.img3.acsta.net/r_1920_1080/pictures/17/02/14/12/03/052481.jpg

Isn't it great, though, that we can come from different backgrounds and parts of the world, yet share ideas, and discover new things from each other?

Yes! I think that's awesome. I also think that it's great to converse with someone who I may not otherwise due to a number of reasons and have amazing and wonderful exchanges.

Awe he still looks sweet in that picture and she hasn’t changed one bit. I have Netflix and just checked if it’s available (I know other countries have different libraries) and it is. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I’ll give it a go and let you know what I think. :-)

Yes I love it and I find this forum respectful of people’s views and it’s great to have a decent conversation with fellow tv and movie buffs.

So true. It’s also great getting other people’s perspectives, especially if we missed something or have a question about a specific scene etc...

Thank you all. I really enjoyed my time with you. It certainly made up for a not so pleasant experience I had on another thread.

There will always be idiots - hopefully, the good experiences might sufficiently outweigh the bad that good folks stick around and keep adding to the good quotient.
So, please do stick around :-)

The best finale I ever saw to a show or season was what was to the be the end of "Ripper Street". Season three. But then they brought it back... and I cringed because they ended it so perfectly (imo). But the fine writing prevailed and the fourth season was not only very good but the final episode was another terrific series finale. Maybe we yanks could learn a thing ro two from shows like "Ripper Street"!

I'm not familiar with that show. I'm thinking it's British perhaps...due to your statement about yanks?
I'm confused however about why you cringed if you thought they ended it "perfectly"?
Does anyone here watch the show "this is us"?
Talk about fine writing. And, the performances are superb. Now that's a show that impresses me every single time. And, don't even try to figure out what's going to happen next! You'll get it wrong every single time and then say to yourself. Whoa! I DID NOT see that coming.
The show has raised the bar as well as broken through the ceiling with respect to originality, quality and imagination. Check it out from the very beginning if you've never seen it.
Oh, and be prepared to BALL your eyes out! That goes for you manly men too.
