But I'm done with this show. The finale was such a letdown. Sure, it seems like a good episode compared to the last 13 episodes but the fact is it was just another filler episode to bridge the gap until next season.
Spoilers*
Now if Sasha woulda came out of the casket and killed Eugene or Simon? instead of random Savior #17 then maybe it would have an impact.
Seeing Rick as a bitch again is getting lame and Michonne too.
And this is the second shootout that was so poorly shot it was just a pure waste. Is it that hard to bring in a director with experience in action scenes for the season finale of one of the biggest shows of all time? I'm not talking about Michael Bay or Christopher McQuarrie but someone that directed episodes of Daredevil season 2 or Homeland.
Anyway, long story short, thanks for the good times Rick and the gang but nothing lasts forever, even warm Atlanta days.

I felt the same way. I really have come to hate this show. I was hoping maybe...just maybe...the final episode would be a full on battle, but we get more of the belabored narrative and buildup to get about 20 minutes of even more strained fighting all to resolve...nothing? As I watched I found myself saying out loud, "I hate this show." So stupid.
Edit: Hey, I was just thinking...maybe that's what the Finale title was about, "The First Day of the Rest of Your Life." Maybe they know the show is absolute garbage and know that a bunch of us will get our Sunday nights back? #itsjustatheory

I think that's a good theory Daddie0. In place of saying out loud "I hate this show", I rolled my eyes no less than five separate times throughout. It's become a joke to me. Terrible writing. Terrible directing. Terrible acting (except for a few of course). Terrible storytelling. It's like they wasted 15 episodes building up to the finale then tried cramming as much into it as possible. It was disjointed and annoying and I'm happy that this is the first day of the rest of my life without TWD.

Weirdest plot yet.
Worst show of the series? Close. At best in the bottom 10.

Amusing dialogue- "Cease this folly." "Fight with us, and we shall defeat them so that no one will suffer under their _capricious malevolence _ever again."
Zany dialogue- "Accompany my regiment."
What regiment? 10 or 12 people and one guy on a horse carrying a flag doesn't make a regiment.

The only part of your complaint I agree with. And I was pretty attached to Random Savior #17, so please, don't undermine his death.

I surely don't. I mourned his (or her?) death all through the night and into the morning.

Hopefully next season wil be the last, its so padded out now with lame boring bullet proof characters, throw a twig at a zombie and it dies, I hope they'll just win the war agaisnt Negan and end the show. Too bad, it started out promising.

I agree 100%.... Sasha' sacrifice should have translated into bitting at least Simon or Negan himself, since she was already on top of him. Also Shiba the tiger got other random Saviors. Lame ending

Man, I feel that vibe too, but that's a big promise not knowing where "the end" is. That is the atrophy I'm feeling.

While bullets ricochet off the truck. Ugh it was so bad. I rolled my eyes at least 5 times throughout the episode.

This whole season was weak. Other than the first episode and MAYBE the episode Rick had to fight that spiked Zombie, I can't think of any memorable scenes. So many filler episodes. What they need to do, it cut the show back to 10 episodes. 16 is way too long. Every time they cut to Sasha talking with Abraham, I lost interest. They could have done tthe scenes when she was locked in the cell last episode. Why do it in the season finale?
As far as the action, the last 15 minutes was even boring. **camera points to 5 guys shooting *Camera switches to another group shooting**. Does the director even know how to shoot an action scene? Holy CRAP, that was bad! and Ezekiel running in all "medieval times" was Cringe-worthy. Thr tiger didn't even kill someone of importance. We get to see extra number 12 get eaten and a few other no names. Kill someone! We've waited all season to see this go down and nothing happened.
I gotta say, after this episode, I've completely lost interest in this show. I'm not saying i'm done because I've liked prevous season (minus bad filler episodes) and I've also kept up with the comics but they seriously need to hire better writers, directors and slim down the season to 10 episodes.

Is this the only episode you have ever seen? Bro, it isn't a documentary, it is make believe.
Still the best show on TV along with GOT by a country mile.
