But I'm done with this show. The finale was such a letdown. Sure, it seems like a good episode compared to the last 13 episodes but the fact is it was just another filler episode to bridge the gap until next season.
Spoilers*
Now if Sasha woulda came out of the casket and killed Eugene or Simon? instead of random Savior #17 then maybe it would have an impact.
Seeing Rick as a bitch again is getting lame and Michonne too.
And this is the second shootout that was so poorly shot it was just a pure waste. Is it that hard to bring in a director with experience in action scenes for the season finale of one of the biggest shows of all time? I'm not talking about Michael Bay or Christopher McQuarrie but someone that directed episodes of Daredevil season 2 or Homeland.
Anyway, long story short, thanks for the good times Rick and the gang but nothing lasts forever, even warm Atlanta days.

I wouldn't put this up there with the best shows on TV. Maybe a few years ago but not now.

I actually skipped the last two shows leading up to the finale... and don't think I missed anything at all. I agree that at least one major player getting killed, the the weird woman leader of the traitor group... might have been a bone that would have kept me interested.
The tiger attacking was the highlight for me and the only character I care about anymore... too much good stuff on TV to invest anymore time in this frustrating show.

PROOF once again that the trolls are stupid as hell. How can this be the first day of the rest of your life without TWD when you watched it that day?
Maybe the writing does indeed need some improvement sometimes, but it sure as hell shouldn't come from people who talk and act like they were lucilled by Negan.
My two cents.

Well seeing as I posted that comment on April 3rd at 8:01am ET, and last watched TWD on April 2nd at 10:30pm ET, that would appear as though April 3rd was indeed the first day of the rest of my life without TWD. But I know how difficult calendars can be so I'll give you a pass.
I've always found it so cute how disagreeing with the "popular" opinion gets labeled as trolls, but as you might (or might not) be able to tell, there's about a 50/50 split of people who agree with my opinion. Give it another 6 episodes and hating what TWD has become will be popular opinion and then you, sir, will become the troll. Good day.

After the junkyard people betrayed Rick and Negan got him on his knees again, I thought, not again. Not a reset to the beginning of the season. For a moment it looked like Andrew Lincoln was about to do his shaking and perspiring again.
To me it seemed there was a lot of stuff happening, like the junkyard people's betrayal, just to milk out this war for another season. All this milking of the show makes Rick look like a buffoon of a leader, too. Making mistake after mistake.

Gotta admit, that was some seriously good acting back then. Having said that, I'm with you about not wanting to see a repeat performance either.

Her sacrifice was for naught. It solved nothing.

Her sacrifice did mean something. It allowed enough distraction to allow Rick and Co, with his army, such as it is, to fight to a stalemate. I agree that all the perfect timing was ridiculous, and the tiger eating random red shirts instead of someone significant was lame, but her sacrifice did produce a positive result.

I am with you. I am contemplating going to Netflix route and simply watching it a season behind. The entire Sasha and Rosita plan was just damn stupid. It didn't even make sense why she would want to try and sacrifice herself in the first place. Just BAD BAD BAD writing. I hope the critics tear this show a new asshole because they deserve it.

To be fair, I don't think it was bad writing so much as forced writing as I heard the actress was committed to another series so her character had to go. Tail wagging the dog as it were....

On the Walking Deadcast (podcast), it's rumoured that it was the other way around: She was first told by the writers that her character was going to get killed off, so she sought out another gig and came upon Star Trek: Discovery.
