I'm going to try to reason with you, even though I know it's futile. You are doing exactly what I did when Lt. Gaeta from Battlestar Galactica became a mutiny traitor. He was the only character I got emotionally invested in, and when he became a traitor, I was in denial, then I justified it, then I created excuses, etc. I couldn't accept the fact that a character I liked that much, would do what I found abhorrent. It happens, you watch a show, you get invested into a character, and then they betray you, and you deny it.

If you could see yourself from the outside, you'd agree with me. But you can't because you're looking through fogged lenses.

That's the problem with plotting to kill someone. You don't make an announcement. You need for everyone to be convinced.

In many (perhaps most) cases, you are correct. Keep plots of wrongdoing to yourself if you hope to succeed or get away with it. However, in this case, Sasha and Rosita could very well disrupt his murder plans. Also, just about all of Eugene's friends want Negan dead. Sasha and most definitely Rosita, would have more reason than most considering their lover was brutally killed by Negan.

Getting away with murder isn't really much of a concern in this post-apocalyptic world. It happens all the time and no one bats an eye (pun intended) so long as it's considered justified. And the murder of Negan... most definitely considered justified by just about anyone that is not a Savior (but probably even some of them).

Thanks for the pep-talk. But I'm looking at this strictly based upon what I would do. It has nothing to do with me liking or not liking a character. I don't understand why that is so difficult for you or anyone else to understand.

I see an opportunity to strike back at a nemesis. I would gain that person's trust and make my move when the opportunity presents itself.

You don't have to agree with me...but damn, quit telling me that I'm emotional and too invested in the character. It's a television show and this is my theory. If I'm wrong, it won't be the first. However, I've been known to be right on this and plenty other shows that I watch.

I guess time will tell. I'm not getting my panties twisted over this. It's just an opinion. Can you agree on that?

I was involved in a thread discussion about Negan's murder and the aftermath and/or fallout on the part of the Saviors for which I shared how I would handle that situation if it were to present itself as a problem.

With that said, getting away with Negan's murder may very well be a concern. Nothing is off the table in the realm of possibilities.

I like Eugene too. He's one of the more intriguing characters on the show. I actually think it adds or deepens another dimension of his character to have him bow to Negan. That is how he survives. He doesn't survive like others, he doesn't use might, he has his own way. And it has proven to work for him.

Speaking of murder being justified, I keep forgetting that Rick was a cop because he never arrests anyone, instead he chops up his enemies in to little bits with his red-handled machete of +1 mischief. I mean at one point they had control over an entire prison and still his old job didn't come back to him, it's like he loves chaos. I hope he finds a pair of handcuffs and does the right thing concerning notorious psychopath Morgan before he goes on a killing spree with his stick.

It'll be on Rick's conscience if that passive-friendly monster remains at large!

There's no more system. Rick fully realized this back in season 2 when he put away his uniform. How can you be a cop where you have no superiors, no courts, no prisons, no government. Dawn's officers at Grady Memorial weren't cops anymore either, despite wearing their uniforms and badges and driving around in cruisers. Real police officers exist only in the context of a larger society and its laws. Without that, vigilante justice is the only justice. You become judge, jury, and sometimes executioner - which is not what cops do.

And before you get all weepy about poor Gareth and his friends, remember that they were operating a human slaughterhouse. This is a bunch of predators who would've continued stalking random people - and eating them - if Rick hadn't put a stop to it.
