@TheShredder

I'll have to disagree with you.

That's cool. I could be wrong and you could very well be right. We'll have to wait and see.

i would like to think i would hold on to my soul as well. i agree with sherry, it's better to be living on the outside than bowing to negan. but really knows. i would probably die in the first wave.

The CDC fade to black option was by far the best way to check out.

Does Negan suck? Because Eugene certainly does.

Who knows ? Perhaps when Negan finally gets taken out Eugene will take his place hahaha !

Oh man, that would be epic. Lol

I think Eugene has turned. He has found a place that suits him. However, because the writers will want to keep Eugene on the show after the fall of Negan and they will not want to deal with the repercussions of Eugene being a turncoat when returning home to Rick and Co, they will probably have him remember his true friends when Sasha is being tortured. Sasha being tortured or killed will be the catalyst for him turning against Negan. Sasha may even remind Eugene of Abraham which may help to jar Eugene from his Negan-trance.

Your comment above is exactly why Eugene has not betrayed the group and is only waiting for the ideal opportunity to strike against Negan.

Abraham meant too much to Eugene and sacrificed his life more than once for the sake of Eugene. Eugene can't and won't forget that. Nor will he forget how Negan killed Abraham. Who again in the end did the noble and heroic gesture to save the lives of everyone else. Let's not forget that Abraham sacrificed his life for the people he cared about. Eugene isn't about to let that slide.

I can't believe that no one has any faith in Eugene.

I'd have more faith in Eugene currently playing Negan if he would have said something to that effect when he saw Rosita and Sasha. Instead, he acted as if he genuinely wanted to be there. Why try to fool Rosita and Sasha? Wouldn't letting them in on the trick help since not letting them know may very well cause them to sabotage his plans?

What makes you think Sasha will be captured and tortured? Did you read the script or something?

It's just a prediction. My prediction is that Negan will be shooting lightning bolts out of his finger tips at Rick, and Rick will be pleading with Eugene to help him. And Eugene will have that crying face look he always has, with his mouth slightly open with a little spit forming on the corners. And he'll be staring back at forth towards his new pal Negan, who will have that crazy eyes look with the big grin as he continues to shoot lightning bolts at Rick, and then stare at Rick pleading for his help. And finally, in the most climatic moment, Eugene will rise to the occasion and pick Negan up and toss him over the side into the walker pit where Negan gets devoured and Eugene can save face and be accepted back to the community.

That's an interesting prediction. It's so like Star Wars Return of the Jedi.

That's the problem with plotting to kill someone. You don't make an announcement. You need for everyone to be convinced.

You also don't blab that you did it. Not if you want to get away with murder.

I would advise you to not plot any kind of wrongdoing.

I thought the exact same thing. He definitely genuinely seemed like he wanted to be there, he really seemed like he was pleading with them to not ruin his big thing rather than being concerned about them.

It appears like you're holding on to this more out of emotion than logic.

It's all logic on my part. Why on earth would I let someone in on my plan? Yes, I'm going to play the part like it's never been played because I want my plan to work.

The best trick the devil plays is to convince the world he doesn't exist.

Eugene was told by Rosita and Sasha they were there to rescue him. He said no...I'm staying. Immediately, Rosita is convinced that he's Negan. Mission accomplished.
