Eugene like his new role, as a Negan lapdog, but the minute he saw Rosita, he became submissive. Weird guy

Eugene is a coward but really smart coward. It was wise of him to not escape and is probably thinking that both Sasha and Rosita are stupid for their action. I wouldn't leave either if I was Eugene. He is trusted and in a good spot and scared. He knows the consequences if he escapes and he knows what will happen if Sasha and/or Rosita are caught. He would rather wait for the calvery. He was crying and he knew he could not go and told them to go in fear of their safety.

It's pretty obvious that Eugene has drank the Negan kool aide. He's a Savior. He's not working for points, or an indentured servant, or has to pay weekly tribute to Negan. Nope, he is a Savior with all the benefits and perks that comes along with it. Darryl and Rick could have been Saviors, if they didn't let some right wing, moralistic value cloud their judgment. But we all know, that if the devil offers you above market price for your soul, you'd be stupid not to sell it to him.

Eugene hasn't been drinking anything. Eugene is convincing everyone to think he is Negan. What better way than to pass on an opportunity to be rescued by your own people?

Negan will let down his guard even further because he thinks Eugene is scared sh*itless. Rosita will report back to Alexandria and they will think the same of Eugene. The man is playing it brilliantly. He's even got the fans thinking he's Negan.

i would like to think i would hold on to my soul as well. i agree with sherry, it's better to be living on the outside than bowing to negan. but really knows. i would probably die in the first wave.

I wonder if we will see Sherry again. The actress has the lead role in a new show on E network.

i saw that. so now we have sasha, keith and sherry in the land of the missing.

I don't know why so many people on this board think that Eugene somehow is playing Negan so cleverly. He's not. He's just a fat sniffling rat. He's not going to try and get away like Daryl did. He likes being a Negan. I hope Rosita knocks Eugene out.

i think eugene takes the shape of whatever container he his in. i don't think he is playing negan but if the grimes gang prevails he will switch sides easily.

Well perhaps at some point Eugene will stumble into being a hero but that's all it will be cuz for now he's happy where he is now. He wants power and a need to not engage in physical altercations which is what Rick loves to do. I've never seen someone fight as much as Rick does. They guy is always starting shit with other communitites.

And someone else mentioned this on board a few weeks ago about Eugene's M.O

Eugene is the type of guy who likes civil communitites and authority. Not as a fighter though. As a respected, productive member of society. That's how he kept his position with Abraham for a long time until his lie fell apart and lost everyone's respect. This time around, he's figured out how to play his game better. He's all set now. The only thing that would mess up his new identity would when Rosita tells Rick that Eugene is happy switching sides.

We'll see what happens. This is a fun discussion though. Lol
