What, do they actually think if they knock off Negan that the problem is over? Do they not realize the world of sh!t that will rain down on the communities due to their actions? It's like the gang's mantra says, "I am Negan" (total rip-off from Spartacus BTW to all the kiddies out there). This show is about over. It's a shame they let this awful writing destroy this show.

Well they should make sure the saviours do not see them, and if they could pick a good sniper spot, and kill Negan, the saviours will first begin to fight each other. And maybe if the saviours survive the infighting, they will start to look for the killers, but they have multiple groups out there that hate their guts. So I think it's a good call. Taking Negan out will for create chaos inside the saviours, some people will even pick up their stuff and leave.

This is assuming they pull it off and don't get identified. That's why they were talking about explosives. They need to bring something with them so if they get boxed in trying to escape, they can blow themselves to bits and the Saviors will have no clue who they were. Of course the demon Murphy may have other ideas. Things go bad, the Saviors are closing in, Rosita takes out a grenade and pulls the pin, then a walker comes out of nowhere and lunges at her, the grenade rolls away down an incline (too far to do any real harm) and explodes there, Rosita and Sasha both get captured and brought back to Negan. Who has nothing but fond memories of Rosita. You again? Goddamn! Some people just never fucking learn, do they? And so we take a little road trip to Alexandria - before they're ready to fight. Thank you once again Rosita.

There is a lot of hate for this story line, justifiably, imo. I think it is about setting up Sasha's death.

She's landed a lead role in the new Star Trek series. It's hard to juggle being a regular on two different shows at the same time, unless the shooting schedules happen to line up perfectly for you. So yeah. I think this is Sasha's last ride. And at this point the best thing Negan could do for Alexandria is to take out Rosita too - or at least stick her in the hole, where she can eat dog food and listen to Easy Street over and over again.

I have to agree that this plan is terribly ridiculous! It is probably to get rid of the character Sasha.

If Negan dies his most likely successor would be Simon (the guy who showed up looking for Daryl). He might do away with stuff like the hot iron, in favor of just straight up shooting people, but overall I don't think he'd be any real improvement. And his first official act would probably be ordering Alexandria burned to the ground and every single one of its residents killed. Assuming of course the dumbass duo didn't manage to escape or blow themselves up before anyone saw their faces. If everything goes according to plan things will turn out okay. It's the fact that things rarely go according to plan in the real world that makes their impulsive little sniper attack a bad idea.

***Spoiler alert: do not read if you are not familiar with the comics and think that comics references constitute spoilers:*
I think Sasha is going to get the death that Denise got in the comics. She will be sent back to Alexandria as a hooded walker. Denise got Abraham's death, after all.

I like Abraham's TV death a whole lot better then. Taking a whack to the head from Lucille, then looking up defiantly at Negan and telling him "Suck my nuts!". Great line, the last of many classic Abraham-isms. You can kill me but you never broke me. Not giving Negan one ounce of satisfaction. An arrow in the head from behind would have been an injustice to the character.

@chrisjdel Well to be clear, Abraham got an arrow in the eye, not in the back, but I agree that his TV death was much better. I think Negan was amused by Abraham's last words. I do think that the second death somewhat took away from the pathos of Glenn's death, though.

Abraham's fate, while tragic, was also satisfying. You felt like he got the heroic death scene he deserved. Glenn didn't give Negan the satisfaction of begging either, but the way he looked at Maggie like I don't want to leave you! was just plain gut wrenching and horrible. His death was a lot harder to watch.

So did the Saviors just drop her off outside the wall, or did they bring her in when they came for a tribute and leave her inside somewhere as a thoughtful gift?

I think you are confusing a different character, Holly. She sacrificed herself by ramming the fence to let all of the walkers into the compound and then Negan has her turned and sent back and she bites Denise and that's how Denise actually dies. It's issue #120 if you are wondering:

The writing is horrendous. Rosita was harshly dumped by the man (Abraham) whom she is going to give her life to avenge. Her character has really been destroyed by bad writing. Her motivation makes no sense.
