EH2 is an amazing sequel. RT agrees with me. I want EH3.

I don’t care for what critics have to say. In this case, it’s good that they agree. The audience agree too. Haters can’t say I’m biased, because MBB and HC are in it.

Nope. lol

The OW’s 64,080,000 hv. Is that good? thinking

I have no clue. I expected something closer to 100 mil or a little above it. Maybe my expectation was too high.

Henry Cavill Strikes Down the Idea of a Sherlock Spinoff After That ‘Enola Holmes 2’ Credits Scene

“I think ‘How is there hope for him?’ would be answered in any future movies were they to happen,” Cavill said of a potential sequel. “There’s always whisperings of these sort of things, but nothing is ever official until you enter the first day of shooting, and even then until you finish shooting and even then it has to come out. Right now that’s a that’s all always brings but I don’t know of anything official just yet.”

“This universe is very much Enola’s, so she’ll always be involved,” Cavill said. “I think it’s important to make that connection between the two characters.”

“I enjoyed enormously being in Baker Street. The work the production team did there was extraordinary. It was such a beautifully crafted set, magnificent,” Cavill said. “I didn’t like to leave that set. I just like to sit in it and enjoy it and feel as much as Sherlock as I possibly could.”

“It wasn’t a deliberate attempt to make it my own. I think living within the Enola universe, in all the literature and all the other mediums, he doesn’t have an Enola. He has a Watson, but that’s very different from having an Enola,” Cavill said. “There’s a strong emotional connection to Enola there, there’s a similarity in how they’re raised. It allows for a slightly different viewpoint. When it comes to Enola, there’s always this emotionality with the connection, which is otherwise unique to the Enola universe.”

“I think Enola has a lot to teach Sherlock, certainly about the world he’s living in, even though he may have an awareness of the lack of fairness of the world, especially when it comes to women living in the world, he is not even close to understanding what it’s like,” Cavill said. “He has a lot to learn from Enola in that especially going from the first movie into the second, but in the second, he’s taught a lesson of companionship by Enola. Not being able to rely just on himself, that it’s okay to have someone else in his life who he can turn to. Certainly in the second movie, Enola is the one helping guide Sherlock.”

The Mary Sue

Henry Cavill Is a Perfect Sherlock Holmes in ‘Enola Holmes 2’
For the most part, the Enola Holmes franchise has been very good about making it clear that this is Enola’s story, and getting just a glimpse of Sherlock and his “Sherlockisms” is enough for me, but there are three moments in this movie that really stick out to me and cement Cavill’s performance as Sherlock in the top of my ranking of the brilliant detective adaptations.

Drunk Sherlock
In the stories, he has a problem with drugs (primarily cocaine) but is a wine connoisseur, and given the complexities of both sides of that coin for Sherlock, most stories omit it.
Seeing a drunk Sherlock stumble into the streets of London and see his sister? It’s surprising, to say the least, given how many of these stories either allude to Sherlock’s use of substances or use it negatively at some point in the film or television show.

Sherlockisms
[…] Sherlock standing in front of his board with strings connecting evidence, and he just simply tilts his head to one side and the pieces start to flow together. This is just one of the “Sherlockisms” we get to see in the movie, as there’s also a nod to Sherlock’s violin skills […]

Holmes and Watson
Throughout the movie, there are hints to how lonely Sherlock is. Enola is his “ward,” and the two talk about maybe living together, but she keeps going on to something else of importance to her, but still, at the end, she talks to her brother about his sadness. So when someone comes to the door looking to see the apartment and Sherlock is perplexed, we know that it is something Enola has done.
And what she did was give us Holmes and Watson. We get a brief look at Himesh Patel as Dr. John Watson, and it is enough to have me begging for at least another Enola Holmes movie […]

Enola Holmes 2 Post-Credits Scene Fixes Canon from the Books

In both the original stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and the Enola Holmes novels by Nancy Springer, Sherlock Holmes has a best friend.

Although Dr. John Watson plays a role in Nancy Springer’s Enola Holmes books, Watson has been conspicuously absent from both film versions… at least until the credits start rolling on Enola Holmes 2.

[…] it appears that if there ever is a third Enola Holmes movie, Sherlock will be joined by the [Himesh] Patel version of Watson, which anyway you slice it, is brilliant casting.

[…] the introduction of Watson also sets up the possibility of a hypothetical Enola Holmes in a big way.

Enola Holmes 2 is a very, very loose adaptation of the second Springer book, The Case of the Left-Handed Lady, although it differs quite a bit with its intersections into real history. That said, the next book up in the series, The Case of the Bizarre Bouquets has basically been perfectly set up by this post-credits scene in Enola Holmes 2. That third Enola book begins with Dr. Watson locked up in an insane asylum, desperately seeking help from the outside world, including Enola.

You can’t adapt the third Enola book without Watson, and now that he’s found his way into the movie canon, it’s possible that the game for this Holmes movie series is still very much afoot.

https://www.denofgeek.com/movies/enola-holmes-2-post-credits-scene-fixes-canon/

Bad news for those hoping EH2’s mid-credit scene is meant to set up a Sherlock spin-off. Dr. John Watson is a character in the EH books. You can’t adapt the third Enola book without Watson!!!

I wonder how it did the first full week. Is 62,860,000 hv good? thinking

Tell me you want a list without telling me you want a list, right?

EH2 is doing fine for a 2022 film, as can be seen in the lists above. However, I don’t think it will reach 209,250,000 hv to steal The Kissing Booth’s #10 spot on the Most Popular list. I’m not even sure it will beat EH1’s 189,900,000 hv.

Too many titles failed to reach 209,250,000 hv. Could it be that NX is releasing too much new content that subs don’t have time to watch them within the first 28 days? Could it be that they don’t have time to re-watch things that they like? Content that gets re-watched gives NX an idea of what subs really like.

EH2’s last week wasn’t in the weekly Top 10. That doesn’t sound good. But how is it doing when compared with other 2022 films? You should post a list with its hv of the last two weeks.

On a positive note, Wednesday is doing freaking awesome. I love it. Is anybody else watching? NX found its new Stranger Things.

The fourth column ranks the hv of the third week in descending order. Again, EH2 is #9. Where 00,000,000 starts, the titles with that number as their third week hv are ordered chronologically.

EH2 last week (last 4 days of the 28 days) doesn’t have enough hv to be in the weekly Top 10. That means, it has less than 7,610,000 hv (the current #10). We will never know the exact hv, but it isn’t enough to make EH2’s 158,030,000 surpass EH1’s 189,900,000 hv.

According to the list, for a 2022 film, EH2 did fine. I updated the older lists in my previous post.

On a positive note, Wednesday is doing freaking awesome. I love it. Is anybody else watching? NX found its new Stranger Things.

I'm watching. clap

It’s NX’s way to keep you from churning. lol It doesn’t work on me, though. I support a certain actress or actor in a series or film, not the series or film. I’ll only sub to give the work of those actresses and actors a view. I don’t want to spend too much money on streamers. It’s starting to get out of hand. Too many streamers. Too much content.

I decided to stay subscribed for a bit longer to watch it. I like CZJ. But I’m a fan of JO now, too.

I think Americans really spend a lot of time watching TV. Most streamers are American. Even when you like TV, money doesn't grow on trees. You need to narrow it down. Supporting your favorite talent is a good way to really narrow it down.

Exactly. The war in Ukrain has made everything expensive.

Millie Bobby Brown has been criticised by an intimacy coordinator for her behaviour on Enola Holmes 2.

Brown had discussed a scene from the Netflix sequel on the streamer’s TikTok account, recalling a moment she kissed her co-star Louis Partridge.

“Right on the rehearsal I grabbed his face and kissed him and he was like…” Brown said in the video, then making fun of Partridge.

“It was so cute really seeing her take the lead,” she said of her character Enola. “And also seeing a girl just make the first move is just really exciting.”

Elsewhere in the video, Brown said she repeatedly punched Partridge for the scene.

“Because Louis is a good friend I just kept punching him, I wasn’t doing stunts, I really was hurting him,” she said. “By the end of it, he said: ‘Millie can you just fake punch me,’ I was fully just getting him right in the stomach.”

Intimacy coordinator Jessica Steinrock took to her own TikTok page to criticise Brown’s behaviour, saying actors should not be “surprising” each other.

“Ooh no, I love Millie Bobby Brown but this is not the cute story you think it is,“ Steinrock began. ”I’m sure she and her scene partner have a lot of rapport built up and a great amount of trust, but we should never be surprising anyone during a fight or intimate scene ever.

“At the end of the day, this basically means she didn’t ask consent to kiss him. And when your scene partner reacts in surprise after you’ve kissed them that means the communication didn’t happen the way it really needs to.”

She added: “Little things like this can escalate over time, and frankly she has more power in that situation than he does because she’s a really well-known star. When we do spicy scenes, we love keeping light, having fun, but consent is mandatory.”

Well, that’s a disappointing thing to read about MBB’s behavior.

Right on the rehearsal I grabbed his face and kissed him and he was like…

She’s old enough to know about MeToo.

I just kept punching him, I wasn’t doing stunts, I really was hurting him […] I was fully just getting him right in the stomach.

I can’t believe she said that and actually thought it was a normal thing to tell. It’s OK, because you’re a girl? Being friends with someone gives you the right to do these things?

On a positive note, Wednesday is doing freaking awesome. I love it. Is anybody else watching? NX found its new Stranger Things.

I’m so glad for JO. It’s her show. She’s Wednesday. clap

She added: “Little things like this can escalate over time, and frankly she has more power in that situation than he does because she’s a really well-known star.

And one of the producers.

I don’t want to spend too much money on streamers. It’s starting to get out of hand. Too many streamers. Too much content.

Exactly. They really think people stay home and sit in front of the TV the whole day.

That reminded me of some things Amber Heard said.

‘Enola Holmes 3’: Filming to Begin in Early 2025 & Everything We Know So Far

Enola Holmes 3 is happening. We’ve gotten word through sources and production lists that Enola Holmes is set to return for a third entry, having been announced to be in the works late last year. Here’s what we know about the future of the franchise so far.

Headlined by Millie Bobby Brown, the first movie largely followed the events of the books, while season 2 [film 2] went a little off-piste and is more inspired by the source material.

For a while, the first movie was featured in Netflix’s list of most-watched movies of all time, with 189.90 million hours watched in the first 28 days of release. The second movie, released in November 2022, featured in the global top 10s for four weeks after its release, picking up 158.03 million hours watched. According to the two Netflix engagement reports, Enola Holmes 1 was watched by the equivalent of 13.90 million people throughout 2023, and the sequel by 21 million.

Collider was the first to report that Enola Holmes 3 was in the works late last year. It came out during a conversation with Netflix’s then-head of film, Scott Stuber (Dan Lin has since taken this position) [...]

“The Holmes IP is weirdly elastic. Obviously, Warner Bros. did an incredible job with Downey and Jude Law, so this idea that we can extend that IP with her is exciting. So, we’re working once again on a screenplay to try to get that. But yes, aspiration. I’d like to do another one.”

Well, now it looks like Netflix is going full steam ahead with a third movie. We know that sources tell us production is being eyed to get underway in early 2025 (ProductionWeekly also notes Q1 2025).

That said, all the pieces haven’t yet come fully together. For example, there is no word on the director yet. Harry Bradbeer directed the first two and is expected to return. Likewise, Jack Thorne would be expected to return on the writing front, but there are no official confirmations yet.

We understand that multiple cast members from prior movies are currently or are being eyed to sign up for the third movie entry.

Starting with the most obvious, Millie Bobby Brown is signed up to return to the titular role of Enola Holmes.

We also understand that Louis Patridge and Henry Cavill are being considered for return to their roles as Viscount Tewkesbury and Sherlock Holmes, respectively.

In addition, ProductionWeekly reports that Susan Wokoma and Adeel Akhtar will reprise their roles as Edith and Lestrade, respectively.
