Okay, Grace is on fire with her breakdown of events. She said that HC and Dany made a hardball move and said that HC was unavailable to do a cameo for Shazam.
She said it could be a move by WB to get him to do the cameo and for less money.
I am more intrigued by what she said about HC acting like a “diva” on the set, acting like a “big movie star when he ain’t one”. The only time I heard about him acting like this was when I read rumours about how he didn’t get along with Ben Affleck on the set of BvS. Ben was annoyed he was making unwanted suggestions on how some scenes could be shot. Other than that, on the Mission Impossible set, the director commented on his patience of having his character change so much. I suspect he decided not to protest because he knew there is no point annoying the real alpha and star of the movie — Tom Cruise.
I also remember Michael Blevins having to tell Snyder that HC was nearly suffering from hypothermia in one scene because HC was not complaining at all while making MOS. But then again that was MOS. Has his manager (Garcia) influenced him to have a bigger ego?
The only other people I know who complained about his “arrogance” were a few entertainment reporters complaining about his behaviour in interviews.
"That's because the studio has shifted its focus to a Supergirl movie, which will be an origin story featuring a teen superheroine. This effectively removes an actor of Cavill's age from the storyline's equation given that Superman, aka Kal-El, would be an infant, according to DC lore."
That quote is total B.S. It's only to soften the blow. Case in point, they mentioned talks broke down during Shazam, so they were considering reprising HC's role as Superman, but shyt happened and it wasn't Supergirl.
I saw somewhere online that they're considering Michael B. Jordan as Supes.
At first I thought you were joking, but I Googled and a lot of reputable sites are saying he is being considered.
I wouldn't like him as Superman. Sure pick someone black, but MBJ looks short and maybe HC has spoiled me into thinking Superman has got to be handsome as all he ll.
Get. Out. Of. My. Head.
But, most of time it's where I live- please don't put me out

I know it wasn't over scheduling conflicts. The would not get rid of an actor that they really like because he cannot do a cameo in Shazam! Maybe they just don't have plans for an MOS 2.
@Kesa - welcome back! Long time no see
Good point, especially since I recall in an article I read, Kevin Feige (the one holding the reins in Marvel) was willing to change the scheduling of the filming of Doctor Strange to ensure it fits in Benedict Cumberbatch’s schedule. If they really wanted him, or have solid plans for an MOS2, then I think the scheduling conflicts wouldn’t have been a big issue.

So true.

I think HC had it in him all alone. Before Dany, there was Stratton, and HC walked off the set 5 days before filming. It was a total FU, because it left everyone scrambling.
The only other people I know who complained about his “arrogance” were a few entertainment reporters complaining about his behaviour in interviews.
Well, there was James Franco, but James contributed that to his own arrogance. There has been a few who have said he was aloof on the set of Immortals. He didn't speak to his castmates other than to say the bare minimum. LE, who arrive 5 or 7 weeks later, was the first person he was friendly w/on set.

Yeah, someone already posted that tweet, and I called BS on it. That's Dany trying to stop the bleeding. As I PREDICTED there would be no statement. Yesterday, came and went bye, bye.

Yeah, it would have been especially easy for WB, since HC didn't have any projects lined up at the time of that drug infused meeting.
Drugs?
**My theory **is that Dany is on something, because a while before this, she posted a weird a@@ IG story. It was really trippy and it got me thinking.

I forgot about James Franco. There was also Stephen Dorff. For these movies, I thought he was just on the shy side, so he comes off being aloof. However, he seems to be not too friendly with American actors he worked with (ie Ben Affleck, Stephen Dorff, James Franco). I could see him bonding with LE as they’re both from the UK. I can see him having to be friendly with Tom because he has to (he is the alpha in MI), and he has to be friendly with Armie because they’re both the leading men in MFU.
Supposedly, HC would have had only two lines in Shazam if he did the cameo, which is short in nature. I laugh at the scheduling conflicts, but anyway here is a link.
This could all be a cowinky-dink, but HC unfollowed Dany.
Odd things:
He still follows her company and her husband, but I'm thinking HC didn't give a care. He just didn't want to follow Dany -- the person -- for personal reasons.

Long time no see, P.
To me, the writing is on the wall. WB said there are not focusing on any Superman movies, even HC took down the JL2 and MOS2 credits he had on IMDB.
