I'm so happy for Will.
A lot of things flop. The Fall Guy and Furiosa both flopped so badly. I expected Furiosa to flop. A prequel with a female lead without Mad Max in a male-centric franchise.
Can TSwift act? I wonder who's the cameo that blew Levy's mind.
BTW, Eras and Seasons came and went. I think I expected too much from Eras. It was stunning, but I still feel like I missed something. I missed that thing that's supposed to make it better than every other concert. I think over-hyping stuff isn't good. Expectations will be unrealistically high.
Seasons, on the other hand, was way better than I expected. JL sang Lie, Yesterday, Attack, Hurricane and Kill with the band and he's probably one of those peeps who think Prague is the city of darkness. He looked like the leader of a Satanic cult, as he should. That all white Jesus wannabe look from Mars island is lame. He also played the electric guitar while singing Attack. Then he lift it up in the air with one leg on the little podium for the perfect selfie of me with him in the background. Money well spent.

The Holocaust is remembered. What about the Holodomor (1932-2933) aka the Ukrainian Famine aka "terror by hunger". That was genocide, because it is considered man-made and it probably killed 5M Ukrainians.

George Clooney rang up the White House last month to grumble about President Biden’s criticism of the International Criminal Court’s effort to issue arrest warrants against top Israeli officials, according to a report.
During the call, George Clooney expressed concern to Counselor to the President Steve Ricchetti that his wife could face penalties under the sanctions bill and took issue with Biden’s comments related to the arrest warrants and his administration’s initial openness to slapping sanctions on ICC officials, according to the Washington Post.
“The ICC prosecutor’s application for arrest warrants against Israeli leaders is outrageous,” the president said in a May 20 statement.
Amal Clooney announced on the Clooney Foundation for Justice website – an organization co-founded by her and her husband – that she was among the experts asked by the ICC to evaluate evidence of suspected war crimes in the Israel-Hamas war.
“We unanimously conclude that there are reasonable grounds to believe that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity including starvation as a method of warfare, murder, persecution and extermination,” the 46-year-old human rights lawyer wrote.

Crazy Rich Asians was a huge success. The cast wasn't entirely flawless. There were some mixed peeps, but it was a step in the right direction, IMO.
The collar of the in-camera suit is different from the collar from the on-set suit. The on-set suit's collar goes down on the front. So SM has more than one suit. Where did he get them? Martha made them from Earth or Kryptonian fabric? That's a lot of fabric in a little capsule.

Some geeks think the black suit could be a Doomsday containment suit? However, the suit will fail and Doomsday will keep getting bigger, so SM has to stop him.
The Engineer is in the "leaked" pics too. According to the geeks, she's a founding member of The Authority, which is slated to appear in a self-titled film within the Gunn-verse. The film doesn't have a release date, though.
More like a combi of MOS and BvS. This may be SM25’s story:
“Other superheroes are edgy and kill when necessary. Superman is an outcast among them for his optimism and no-kill rule, and ultimately inspires them to change their ways. Lex Luthor is war profiteering on an armed conflict in a foreign nation (called "Jarhanpuria" per IMDB). Anyway, I think that WBD is trying to win over the ZS goonies. If so, then tell them that the ZS-verse is restored as Else-World. They're already fantasizing that HC will play Bizarro/evil SM in SM25.
TBH, that might be bigger than DeadPool & Wolverine, because it'll be PG-13. It might be even bigger than Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was PG-13..

I wasn't happy with Falcon becoming CapA. Falcon is a cool hero and Anthony Mackie played the role amazingly. I'm also not a fan of POCs playing characters that were originally white.
That being said, I was pleasantly surprised that Sam is Falcon and CapA. The shot where Falcon opens his wings is worth the ticket price.
I wasn't interested in this film, but the rhino and the Colosseum filled with water could be worth the ticket price. Although, the rhino seems to die quickly.
I like Venom, but this new installment will probably suck too. But to me, the Venom Horse alone is worth the ticket price.

The SM suit definitely will. But what can be fixed at the biker's suits? SM's in blue and he's all dirty. So in post they'll make sure those almost fully white suits remain white? Why fight in so much white ?
Anyway, these awful suits are not solely the product of the costumes department's lack of creativity. According to the geeks, the suits are a combination of The Conglomerates' jackets with the white suits from The Terrifics. But they work for Max Lord under the name Justice League International or Justice League Of America?
Peeps keep saying they're uniforms and that's why they're boring and awful.
If I'm a billionaire and have super heroes working for me, they should look good. They reflect what my company stands for. They should exude prestige, because I'm a billionaire! Their uniform shouldn't look like something you can buy in a discount store.
Guy Gardner (GreenL) looks out of shape. HawkGirl's suit is baggy and does nothing for her figure. Mr. Terrific looks good and is comic accurate. However, if he's already comic accurate, that means that he won't get an upgrade when everybody else ditch the awful uniforms. The biker's look isn't unique to him, because those other heroes had a boring version of his look and they didn't look cool at all. They cheapen his look and he won't get an upgrade, because he's already comic accurate.
HawkG doesn't, though. She looks like she's wearing a biker's suit over her clothes.
BTW, have you seen the vid where kids ignore HawkG and the other heroes and run to SM? All the heroes arrive at the same time and some kids run to SM. That’s supposed to show the audience SM is well liked and the other heroes are not.
But kids don't know which hero is good or bad. Kids will like the hero that flies. Kids do also like clowns and bright colors and SM kind of looks like a bright, colorful clown that can fly.
Also, I must agree with those who think that girls will run to HawkG. The color of her suit doesn't matter. She and SM can both fly, but she has wings and she's a girl.
Apparently, these are established heroes that everybody knows exist. Kids can see them on TV on the news. I used to be a little girl. I'd run to the TV each time HawkG is on it to see her wings.
So if they want me to know that the citizens of Metropolis prefer SM over the other heroes, they shouldn't have done it that way. Let them all look like bright, colorful clowns that can fly and let's see which one the kids will like more.
When you look at the extras in some of the leaked vids/pics, they're wearing retro clothes (70's?). Their clothes look awful/weird. Dull colors like brown and beige seem to dominate.
So I think that SM's awful/weird suit will fit in and the bright colors will stand out. He's bright like the sun. He exudes hope in colorless, depressing, fashion-blind Metropolis.
If Martha can really sew, then she can make a suit fit for an adult. For some reason, she didn't. Instead, she made a Halloween suit or a circus suit. She made a suit for a little boy, not a grown man. Is Martha infantilizing Clark?
On the bright side, they made everybody in Metropolis looks retro and awful so the traditional, dated SM suit will fit in.
ZS keeps posting MOS stuff. It's one screening in a theater owned by NX.

I think that too much has leaked. The scene with Engineer and Ultraman fighting SM and Mr. Terrific is probably one of the two big SM fight scenes in the film. The part of Engineer and Ultraman fighting SM reminds me of Faora and the big Kryptonian fighting SM in MOS. And they use a stadium to contain the damage? Unlike in SMReturs, the stadium will be empty.
Anyway, it looks like the action in this film is designed in a way that no innocent bystander will be hurt. SM will even have time to save a kid, a dog and a squirrel, so it seems. That's how the audience will know that SM isn't reckless and cares about the lives of innocent bystanders.
Well, of course SM can ignore the enemy and go save them, if the fight is designed in a way that allows that. ZS didn't design the fight in MOS that way. So peeps shouldn’t compare MOS with SM25. Kryptonians weren't heroes trying to arrest SM. They wanted to kill all humans and turn Earth into the new Krypton.
Faora: You will not win. For every human you save, we will kill a million more.
So Kryptonians that are as strong as SM and they want to kill and destroy. Yeah, I can see SM trying to save a kid, a dog, and a squirrel when fighter jets and skyscrapers are crashing down in the middle of the city.
Anyway, I bet in SM25’s first SM fight scene, Engineer and Ultraman will beat SM, because he refuses to use all his powers. So they’ll arrest him at the end of the fight or he flights away and gives himself up later or they’ll come to arrest him again and he gives up to prevent damage. We do see him in handcuffs and we do see him having trouble standing up before he flights away to escape from Engineer and Ultraman and we do see him lying in a crater surrounded by innocent bystanders.
But then the real threat will arrive. The other heroes will lose and someone will go get SM to come finish the job. He didn't use all his powers on Engineer and Ultraman, but he will on enemies like Solaris, Brainiac and Bizarro. They're not heroes trying to arrest him.
So SM should arrive when everybody else has failed to save the day. He'll be able to show the other heroes his full powers so they know he was holding back while fighting them. He beats the enemy, but won't kill him. He may let Solaris and Brainiac go or they'll flee. In Bizarro's case, his cells will start deteriorating and he’ll die on his own.
The other heroes will realize that SM could take over the Earth if he wants, but he doesn’t. Instead, he uses his powers only for good without being paid and he never kills or let someone die.
Who wants to bet this is how it'll play out?
Back to point 1, though. SM was designed in a way that makes it possible for him to leave his work. He's a reporter. He can leave whenever something happens, because he has to cover it.
Are all the other heroes reporters or photographers? If you have an employer, you can't leave whenever you want. And since these heroes are working for either a corporation or the government, I don't think they're rich. They're obviously doing it for the paycheck, because here on Earth everybody has bills to pay. Or, by working for a corporation or the government, they can do hero stuff without getting in trouble? But they still need a paycheck to pay the bills, because it's hard to combine non-paid hero job with a paid job.
Look at Peter Parker. He couldn't combine doing non-paid hero work with his paid pizza delivery job. He got himself in trouble with his employer and his monthly bills. I guess the heroes in SM25 can start their own business, so they can leave whenever they want. But they clearly prefer to work for someone else.
Anyway, why do the other heroes need SM to show them that they can do hero stuff for free and be their own boss? They really didn't know that? Isn't working for a corporation or the government a conscious decision because it's almost impossible to combine a full-time paid job with a non-paid hero job? They didn't know that having an employer means you can't do whatever you want or you must do what the employer wants? They didn't think about the pros and cons before they decided to start working for a corporation or the government? OMG!

Who the heck releases the most anticipated film of the year the same day as the Olympics' opening ceremony? I'm seeing DeadP3 Wednesday, because Sunday till Tuesday is sold out.

It use to be we’d be transported into the video game world of Tron. Well, in Tron: Ares as Evan Peters‘ villain Julian Dillinger says in the clip that was unveiled at D23 on Friday, “We’re not going there, they are coming here.”
The light cycles of Tron are seen speeding through city streets, leaving laser thin wakes behind them, and splicing cars on the street in half. Jared Leto plays the Tron-like character, clad in red while Greta Lee plays a “brilliant programmer whose great work has Ares coming into the world.” The actress was on stage with Leto, Peters and Jeff Bridges on the Honda Center stage.
Leto in the voice-over of the trailer says, “I came here to find something…something important.” We see him zooming on a light cycle with Lee’s character.
Bridges, who is the hacker and original video game character Kevin Flynn, appears as something of an apparition at the end in white clad robes.

Universal has officially released the first look of “Jurassic World Rebirth,” the seventh film in the 31-year-old franchise, starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali. Gareth Edwards (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” “The Creator”) is directing from a script by David Koepp, who wrote the original “Jurassic Park” released in 1993.
According to an official summary, the film will be set five years following the events of “Jurassic World Dominion,” when “the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs.”
“Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived,” the synopsis continues. “The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.”
The studio also revealed details about many of the characters in the film. Johansson’s character is a covert ops expert named Zora Bennett, who has been hired to lead the team extracting DNA from the three most gargantuan dinosaur species left alive. Ali plays Zora’s partner, Duncan Kincaid; Bailey plays a paleontologist named Dr. Henry Loomis; and Rupert Friend (“Homeland”) plays Martin Krebs, the representative of the drug conglomerate funding the expedition. Philippine Velge (“Station Eleven”), Bechir Sylvain (“BMF”) and Ed Skrein (“Deadpool”) make up the rest of Zora’s team.
Eventually, they encounter a civilian family “whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos,” at which point everyone becomes “stranded on an island where they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades.”
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (“The Lincoln Lawyer”) plays Reuben Delgado, the father of the family that’s been shipwrecked, which includes Luna Blaise (“Manifest”), David Iacono (“The Summer I Turned Pretty”) and Audrina Miranda (“Lopez vs. Lopez”).

It is bizarre that grown men like the traditional SM suit. Apparently, the skintight suit is for mobility and the cape to make flying easier. A powerless hero like BM needs all that stuff. If human soldiers can move in their uniform, so can SM in a similar outfit.
So JG is replacing Chris Pratt with David? lol I'm surprised he hasn't given CP a role in the DCU yet. He doesn't love CP as much as people think. lol
Peeps whined about ZS' muted colors and depressed SM, so JG's first SM pic should have those things too. The camera and/or the dark room made the blue of the suit darker. SM looks depressed and he doesn't seem to give a damn about what's going on behind him.
This is the explanation grown men gave: Heroes have been around for ages in the Gunn-verse. So everybody is used to bad things happening. Fighting beings that can shoot beams is a normal thing. That's why SM is not in a hurry to go fight whatever is shooting the beam.
Are they serious? Fires happen regularly, but the firemen treat every single one with the same urgency. They will try their best to get there as fast as possible. Now you have beams and a being that can move faster than light. Instead of hurry to keep casualties and damage to a minimum, he just takes his time because getting killed and destruction are normal things. Where is the "optimism" that he wants other super beings to have? He has a "no-kill" rule, but the "let-die" rule is OK? lol
In 2024 grown men keep saying his mom made it for him. Don't those grown men realize how ridiculous that explanation is? A grown man who has to deal with criminals and government officials is going to show up in a Halloween suit because his mommy made it for him.

Lex creates what SM will fight. It's Ultraman that deteriorates into Bizarro or Doomsday outgrows the containment armor. The conflict in Jarhanpuria is just to fill 2 hours and give LL something to do.
So he's the only one coming back. BTW, the Tron ride looks so cool. JL posted about it. I can't believe Euro Disney doesn't have it. I always knew Euro Disney sucks.

Production of Todd Haynes‘ gay romance movie is completely dead. The pic has been in limbo for the last two weeks as Joaquin Phoenix reportedly stormed off the set of the movie which also starred Top Gun: Maverick‘s Danny Ramirez. Producers during that time were trying to put the project back together again.
Production is dead, and not paused, as there are no plans to recast the role played by The Joker Oscar winner. Crew members on the Guadalajara, Mexico set are due money.
The movie follows two men, one played by Phoenix, who have an intense relationship and leave California for Mexico.
There was buzz that this film had its fair share of edgy scenes.

Christine Vachon of Killer Films shared an article to Facebook about the actor dropping out five days before production, while responding to speculation that Phoenix’s sudden departure had to do with the film’s LGBTQ content and planned NC-17 rating.

Warner Bros. Discovery just realized its TV networks are worth $9.1 billion less than it originally thought, leading to a net loss of $10 billion in the second quarter of 2024.
The massive plummet in valuation is being recognized as a “non-cash goodwill impairment charge” primarily coming from the “Networks” section of the company. That must have been one eye-opening internal audit.
WBD blames the devastating change in value to the “difference between market capitalization and book value” due to a soft U.S. advertising market and “uncertainty” surrounding future carriage deals. And oh yeah, the loss of the NBA certainly doesn’t help.
Warner Bros. Discovery just lost its rights to broadcast the NBA beginning after next season, and the company is in fact suing the NBA to retain the rights, saying that it matched Amazon’s offer for the NBA and that the NBA isn’t legally able to decline them if they matched.
That’s a big chunk of the pie, but not the only factor leading to that steep loss of value, as the decline of advertising for its linear networks has taken a toll on all the Discovery channels and the Turner cable channels.
WBD also reported another write down of $2.1 billion of “pre-tax acquisition-related amortization of intangibles, content fair value step-up, and restructuring expenses.”
The good news was that streaming perked up, with all of its DTC offerings between Max, HBO, and Discovery+ adding 3.6 million subscribers in the quarter for a total of 103.3 million subs. The direct-to-consumer segment however swung to a $107 million loss.
Since Warner Bros. Discovery formed as a merged company a little over two years ago in April 2022, the company’s stock has fallen nearly 70 percent. The company’s stock fell another 8 percent in after hours trading and is now approaching an all-time low.
Late last month, a report came out that Warner Bros. Discovery was exploring a potential spinoff of its film and TV studio and streaming from its linear TV channels. Much of WBD’s $40 billion in debt lies with the linear channels, so a divorce would free up the studio segment to unlock more value, but it also comes with major risks, with some analysts completely doubting it.
The company cut another thousand jobs in July, primarily across finance, business affairs, and production divisions.
