According to Digital Spy, when asked what the difference between DC and Marvel was on screen, he said: “Total failure and massive success.”

Interestingly Brolin’s comments come even when he once starred as DC character in the flop Jonah Hex.

The actor also turned down the chance of playing Batman in the DCEU, a part that went to Ben Affleck.

He recently said: “I’m really glad it didn't happen. I haven't thought twice about it."

DP makes fun of the Martha moment and the DCEU darkness. rofl rofl

Of the many irreverent lines Wade drops to explain himself, the line "I was fighting a caped [BLEEP], but then we discovered his mom's name is Martha too."

That's a direct reference to the infamous "Martha Moment" from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, which is tried to bring a complicated socio-political metaphor to a climax with the realization that both Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne's mothers have the name Martha, which was meant to explain the sudden change in the Batman / Superman relationship, from one of intense rivalry, to one of intense friendship and revelry. Fans still mock that sudden transition, and the "Martha Moment" that fell utterly flat on its face in Zack Snyder's film.

The line of dialogue that's already a certified quotable is, "That's so dark - you sure you're not from the DC Universe?"

Does she know what phone she has? LOL A few years ago, my bf gave my a phone for my birthday. The only thing I knew was that a lot of people wanted that model. It was very popular and I could see the price in all the ads. So that was enough information for me. LOL

Huawei used HC and ScarJo to get to the moviegoer. Did they really have Huawei phones?

After those two, Huawei used Brooklyn Beckham (young) and Lionel Messi (old) to get the younger and older audience. Did they really have Huawei phones? I’m pretty sure BB didn’t. joy

What audience is Huawei trying to impress by using GG?

http://yayvo.com/blog/7-top-celebrities-who-have-joined-huawei-as-brand-ambassadors/

I’d have said DC, but they had DC and MC. That pretty much covered the moviegoers.

I could say Jewish people, but ScarJo already covered that. Then again, she’s only 50% Jewish and her kid might be only 25% Jewish. That’s not enough to convince the 100% Jewish to buy Huawei. So bring in the 100% Jewish woman, who’s married to a 100% Jewish man, raising 100% Jewish kids. rolling_eyes

Governments can change laws each time a new tech is invented and implemented or they can start a Social Credit System like China. LOL Article here.

China has become the largest surveillance state on the planet. Taking a page out of the Netflix show Black Mirror, the People’s Republic of China has begun assigning scores that dictate its citizens’ ability to travel, their social mobility, educational opportunities, and where they can live.

China has established a “social credit system” to assign these scores.

Now fully implemented ahead of the 2020 deadline by the Chinese government, the credit system functions like financial credit scores in America except rather than dictate one’s ability to obtain a line of credit, the Chinese social credit score impacts nearly every aspect of one’s life.

First, online behavior is subject to intense scrutiny. Online speech that "denigrates" others results in score deductions while tattling on fellow citizens can increase scores. The policy goes further than typical online crimes by establishing “online credit black list systems" for behavior considered "grave acts of breaking trust online." Getting blacklisted means Internet usage limitations, public humiliation, or a complete internet ban.

Second, banking and social media information are collected, stored, and evaluated.

The freedom to travel will also be highly regulated.

The social credit system integrates freedom to use "public roads, railways, waterways, aviation, channels and other such transportation markets" with the other assessment standards to create a holistic "trust-breaking record." High credit score individuals will be rewarded with preferential travel treatment within and out of China.

Under the guise of creating a utopia, China is now one of the most authoritarian and liberty bereft societies on the planet. The Chinese defend the system as a vehicle to “maintain stability” and "strengthen sincerity.” In reality, China views control over its population paramount to liberty.

The rest of the world is steps away from trailing the Chinese into a surveillance state.

The U.K. fines and even imprisons people for hate speech or speech deemed abhorrent to the prevailing norms of society. The U.S. is not far behind. Last week, a Manhattan judge ruled a bar can toss Trump supporters for their political viewpoints. A recent proliferation of politically motivated boycotts seeks to punish "bad" viewpoints; protesters are eager to shout down incorrect speech.

With incredible data collection, the plumbing is already in place for such a system to take hold. Our tech companies catalogue large quantities of data on everyone.

The free world is not far behind if we don’t protect privacy, deny our policymakers’ desire to expand the reach of government, and resist the urge to commercially or socially punish those who don't share our political ideology. Privacy and liberty are never more than one generation away from extinction.

My jaw literally dropped and I have difficulties pulling it back up. I can't believe this.

If that made your jaw drop, then prepare yourself for this. scream

The police in the surveillance state have enlisted the help of AI to determine who is going to commit a crime before its happened.

One of the ways China is hoping to peek into the future is with facial recognition firm Cloud Walk which is trialling software that gathers data on where people are what they are doing.

“The police are using a big-data rating system to rate highly suspicious groups of people based on where they go and what they do.”

Another way that the police can use AI to predict crimes is through algorithms that use “crowd analysis” to detect “suspicious” patterns of individuals to determine if they are a thief, for example.

It can also be used to monitor “high risk” locations, such as knife and hammer shops.

Authorities are also set to use “personal re-identification” software to match someones identification even if they are in an entirely new location and attempting to disguise themselves.

“We can use re-ID to find people who look suspicious by walking back and forth in the same area, or who are wearing masks. “With re-ID, it’s also possible to reassemble someone’s trail across a large area.”

We all know why GG is getting all these endorsement deals. Her IG didn’t have many followers before WW. Now she almost has 20 million followers, assuming her “team” didn’t buy IG followers for her behind her back. But real or bot, that means ca-ching! Girl is the ambassador of Asus now.

Asus has hired Gal Gadot, the star of the Hollywood blockbuster "Wonder Woman," to be the company's notebook ambassador this year.

It is debatable whether the celebrity fame will do much for Asus' PC and smartphone sales, as both industries are slowing down, said Calvin Wei, an analyst at Yuanta Securities Investment Consulting.

GG possibly in DJ’s Red Notice.

THS reports that Gadot is currently Universal's "top choice" to appear opposite Johnson in Red Notice. The Rock will receive a hefty payday ($22 million, to be precise) to star in the film as an Interpol agent charged with tracking down the most wanted art thief in the world. Gadot is being eyed to play the movie's female lead - a 30-something woman - but details beyond that are unknown at this juncture.

Since Gadot is an A-lister in her own right now, it stands to reason her would-be role in Red Notice is something meaningful. She could be the top choice to play Johnson's partner in the film, similar to the role that Naomie Harris played in Rampage and the role Emily Blunt is playing in Johnson's upcoming Jungle Cruise movie. Alternatively, Universal may want Gadot to match wits with The Rock onscreen by playing the film's mysterious international crime-breaker and art aficionado.

DG helped DJ become successful without the help of any of her other clients or anybody else. I guess she wants to do the same for her other clients as well. She strikes me as someone who wants to say that she helped you become successful. She can’t say that about NEM if she gives her roles in DJ’s film. People in the film business won't take her seriously, because she’s not capable of finding work or carry a film on her own. Remember that beautiful people must work extra hard to be taken seriously. So DG should either give her her own film or help her get cast in other people's film.

You make some good points. I should stop wishing for HC to be in the F&F spin off with DJ. I guess I’ll see them fight each other as BA and SM in a DCEU film.

Some people want GC in WW 2.

Gina Carano should be granted at least a chance to be in the next Wonder Woman movie since fans were speculating that she might have gotten the role in the first movie. Obviously that didn’t happen as it went to her Fast & Furious costar Gal Gadot, but rather than be bitter about it Carano was very supportive and believes that Gadot was right for the part. On top of that Carano was never approached for a chance at the part so it’s not exactly like she missed out on an opportunity.

“I think people have an idea what they consider Wonder Woman. I definitely know (Gadot) has been training and there’s so much more that goes into being a strong female character. I think people have their own idea, but I always like the underdog, I’m always rooting for the underdog. If the world says you can’t do something, I couldn’t care less because that’s not how anybody should live their lives.”

Of all the critics of the Green Lantern movie, Ryan Reynolds has been one of the loudest and most outspoken. Reynolds was quite open about the making of the movie being unpleasant, apart from it introducing him to his future wife, Blake Lively. In fact, Reynolds found the whole experience so unbearable that he still hasn't watched Green Lantern's final cut to this day.

Beyond the fact that the Deadpool 2 star won't be involved with it, details are few and far between about the upcoming Green Lantern Corps movie. There has been some speculation that Tom Cruise - long a favorite to portray the hot-shot pilot Hal Jordan due to his playing a similar character in the classic action/drama Top Gun - might portray an older but wiser Hal Jordan in the upcoming DC Extended Universe films. It's an idea that Cruise is reportedly open to exploring.

Zazie Beetz aka Domino was the only good thing in DP 2.

Some people just know how to work a red carpet.

RR is so right. And DG should cast her in Red Notice.

Are you aware of the backlash?

Many of the comments aimed at new 'Deadpool 2' character Domino - played by Atlanta's Zazie Beetz - critiqued the actor's skin colour and natural hair

Many people were thrilled that a black woman was sporting natural hair in such a major role. But others immediately deemed it ridiculous, saying that an afro was "impractical" for Domino's role as an assassin, and referring to her hairdo as "frizzy", "unpolished", and a "giant mess on [her] head".
