He didn’t tell us anything about the Italian GQ shoot beforehand either. He’ll probably tell us when the promo vid is ready. As for right now, the Durrell Challenge is his priority. See his new IG post here.

Hairy and sweaty. He's hot and feeling hot. joy

They are doing very well. But what amazes me is their perseverance. In 2012, things were very grim.

  • DJ’s production company, White Buffalo, lost millions because eight films flopped.
  • DG’s JDM companies had to file for bankruptcy.
  • They claim an accountant stole $8 million from them.
  • Like nine investors filed lawsuits alleging fraud.

?????

Where are the links?

I thought everybody knew. Read here and here.

I didn't know. Now I do.

Anyway, I read several articles about DJ and DG, but I don’t remember which one I summarized. So just to be on the safe side, you will find a different article here, here and here.

I forgot to include these in my post too. Read here and here.

$200 million copyright infringement lawsuit against Ballers producers

The plaintiffs first filed their $200 million copyright infringement complaint December 17, alleging that “stories, character traits, scenes, and incidents portrayed in the two works, Ballers and Off Season, are, in many respects, virtually identical and strikingly similar.”

In a tentative ruling released in the court before the hearing and finalized after arguments from the lawyers involved, the judge noted that the similarities between Ballers and Off Season did not rise to the standard of copyright infringement but merely had general expressions that you might find in any project where football players were a primary element. Additionally, Wu made a point of noting that the plaintiff’s claims of similarities did not hold up under examination and were, in fact, often taken out of context.

Possible lawsuit against Rampage producers

“Uwe Boll is currently reviewing his options to pursue litigation against motion picture studio Warner Bros. and Producer New Line for using his brand Rampage as the title for the upcoming motion picture starring Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock,” reads said statement. “Boll released three original Rampage movies in 2009, 2014 and 2017. This movie trilogy had a quick turnaround amassing large cult following on DVD and entities like Netflix.”

“We are living now in a world where Independent Movies are dead and the big players only are making all the money. That they then use developed brands and ideas from established series such as my Rampage films in order to make even more money is unfair but typical,” Boll says in his own statement.

“The new RAMPAGE movie will shrink my brand and my revenues I can make in the future with my RAMPAGE movies. It also confuses the audience! I want that WARNERS change the title, especially because the new movie has nothing to do with a RAMPAGE and looks more like Jumanji 2 and is one of those typical feelgood, popcorn bullshit movies that the studios use to brainwash America even more! All these kind of movies including Transformers, Avengers are helping the military industrial complex in America to win and have retards like Trump be American President who would say that the earth is flat as soon they think they can benefit from this!”

I hope DJ has a thick skin. What happened with Stratton is nothing compared to all the things DJ had to go through when he first started.

You forgot to mention the candy @ss feud. Is it over? rofl

“Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer,” Johnson tells the magazine. “And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.”

“But I wish him all the best, and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have,” he said of Diesel. Moments later, Johnson made a verbal retraction: “Actually, you can erase that last part about ‘no ill will.’ We'll just keep it with the clarity.”

No, I didn't. The candy @ss feud has nothing to do with DJ’s and DG’s prod.com. It's fun to read though. LOL

Thank you. I really didn't know any of this. DJ obviously has thick skin. But does HC? Even a small project could cost a few millions. I just hope he's very careful.

The film business is an expensive and risky business. You don’t know what the audience will like. If what is said is to be believed, HC’s experience with Stratton wasn’t so bad. He should learn from it. Don’t let investors choose the screenplay. He signed up for a Stratton bio/drama, but investors chose the last minute spy/action version. He wanted to delay production until they found investors for the bio/drama version, but the rest of the team didn’t want to wait. So find investors first and then set a date for shooting? Probably easier said than done.

Anyway, I know HC should start again with something small like the bio/drama version of Stratton. But SM is hot right now. I know MOS 2 is a huge step, but he must do it now. He has a willing director (CMcQ) and a possible villain (DJ’s BA or an NG). DG screwed up in the past, but she seems to know what she’s doing now. So HC doesn’t have to produce it alone.

She doesn’t, but she’ll make time. She likes having too many things on her plate. She wants to show that she can do it all. She wants to be on top. Good for her. thumbsup_tone1

The scavenger hunt challenge by Madame Tussauds Orlando is over.

The global scavenger hunt challenged Justice League fans to find the Mother Boxes which had mysteriously ‘surfaced’ in five cities across the globe.

Clues in the form of riddles were posted on the attraction’s Instagram account.  The clue to the whereabouts of the final Mother Box, located somewhere in Orlando, was issued on Saturday, and all five have now been found.

The prize is a VIP experience including a five-day trip to Orlando, along with two tickets to Justice League: A Call for Heroes. Winners will also receive two tickets to MegaCon Orlando and SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium.

HC yesterday at Durrell Challenge.

More than 600 runners from at least 15 countries – some in fancy dress – took part in the 13 km course from Victoria Park to Jersey Zoo.

Seems like a lot for such a tiny island. Many more pics and vids here. Pics on HC's IG here.

HC: Had the pleasure to get up close and personal with some of my buddies at Jersey Zoo again today! I genuinely love being able to do this sort of stuff AND I didn't even get peed on!! Double win.

They should do the DC during the Summer vacation and on a Saturday. Don't people work or go to school on Monday in Jersey?

Exactly. And they organize it in May. Some people have papers to finish and tests to study for. persevere

Everybody is summing up things nicely around here. What possessed you to sum up all that? It can encourage and discourage HC. Forget about Stratton. Is not like he lost money with that crap, right? He didn’t sign for the crap that ended up being produced. And Stratton is not SM. SM is an iconic superhero and he’s on fire right now.

Right now, HC can use all the encouragement he can get, even though nobody in their right mind should encourage a newbie to produce a $175-200 million film like MOS 2. But he must do it now and fast too.
