Do you want Superman solo or in a team (i.e., MOS 2 or JL 2) and why?

Here he says that Brainiac would be good for MOS 2. But is Brainiac in For Tomorrow?

After the success of Mission Impossible - Fallout, I think that Henry has finally shown that he can carry a Superman movie - if allowed to! The studios should take notice and give HC a full character with a decent script. There's no reason why they wouldn't go ahead with MOS 2.

He already carried MOS and made it the second highest grossing SM film. ZS's MOS did better than Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins.

It did well because it was the first Superman movie since Singer's. It also had Chris Nolan's name associated with the production. MOS was actually a critical dud that had both professional critics and general audience members questioning HC's abilities. BvS & Justice League were even worse.

Girl of Steel, guys! Thanks to WW's success, we'll get to see more beautiful ladies kick butt on the big screen.

SG should be as beautiful as WW.

OK, enough drooling.
Bad guys and female heroes should be DC’s priority to stay ahead of MC. But what are they waiting for? We know about Joker, but not much about SS 2 and BOP. We know about WW 2, but not much about Batgirl and BOP. MC has Venom, Captain Marvel and soon Black Widow.

Why did MOS need a $225m PB? Aquaman has way more CGI and its PB is only $160m. MOS’ failure wasn’t HC's fault. MOS was doomed to fail the minute they gave it that high budget and decided that it should mimic CN’s TDK. It was a huge mistake to make CN a producer on MOS. SM is not BM. There’s a big difference between the two.

I thought I replied to BlueRose.
I’ll agree to disagree with you.
“Superman Returns” (2006) should have done well too. It was the first SM film after Christopher Revee’s 1987 SM. The fact that SR was a sequel should have helped too.
So, if a 19 year gap didn’t have that effect, why would a 7 year gap?
CN is one of the two major reasons MOS failed. Fans were concerned his involvement would turn SM into a BM wannabe. They were right. WB/DC thought his formula would give them TDK-like BO#. They were wrong. Fans and critics were not interested in a BM wannabe. But everybody involved ignored the fans and critics, which resulted in the failure of BvS and JL.
That said, the success of MC’s 2012 “The Avengers” is the reason why WB/DC ignored the fact
MOS and BB were both franchise starters. However, the former had a nobody as the lead while the latter had a renowned actor as the lead.
I remember it differently. MOS (2013) holds a 55% all critics score and a 75% audiences score on RT. On Metacritic, the film received a score of 55 out of 100. Audience polls from CinemaScore show an A- on an A+ to F scale. I remember critics and fans blamed the script and ZS. I mostly read that HC looked the part but had too few lines.
I concur.

When I heard HC was out as SM, I thought the guessing was over. I thought that everybody could move on. But then I saw what ZS, DG and WB posted.
CBR
DG
CNN Entertainment
Hope from ZS. The cape is still in his closet from DG. No decisions regarding upcoming Superman films from WB. So we’re kinda back to guessing whether HC is in or out.

I'll aswer you another time.
A GOS film would be nice.
Yeah, back to guessing. DG said the cape is still in HC’s closet. Why would she say that if HC was really out? And WB confirmed by saying that no decisions regarding SM films have been made. How can HC be out if no decisions regarding SM films have been made?
I think #1. Haters (they’re always the most vocal) were saying that HC is the reason why we won’t have MOS 2. DG was blamed too. WB is actually protecting HC. They’re the indecisive ones. If HC and DG were so difficult, why would WB take the blame and say that no decisions regarding SM films have been made?

WB is actually protecting HC? WB didn’t make that up, HCF. WB doesn’t make decisions about anything.
WB is the first studio to let a black woman direct a comic book adaptation. Where is NG? SS made more than 4x its PB. Where is SS 2? Margot Robbie was so popular that WB wanted her in JL’s Joker, in BOP and in a HQ&J rom-com. Where are all these films? Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker is the only film after WW 2.
Is HC popular like MR? No. Did MOS make more than 4x its PB like SS? No. Why are geeks and we expecting to hear anything about MOS 2?
