I’ve read that Johnny Depp interview. I kind of felt sorry for him because he sounded so unhinged and from what read, the interview turned out to be another PR mess with him. I think in this current climate, most actors and actresses will be tight-lipped because anything they say can cause a Twitter storm even if they didn’t intend to say anything bad.
In the case of Johnny Depp, he just looks and talks like his high on something. He seems to be good in making one bad decision after another, not only on how he spends his money, but also who he hires or marries.

Given what has been happening around WB, I’m actually wondering why he and his manager (assuming rumours are true) are becoming a bit more demanding. He doesn’t have a successful record like Gal, and WB is undergoing so many internal changes. It doesn’t seem right

Personally, I think Dany's ego is off the charts. Number one, she shouldn't have been sitting up there. They were practically negotiating, by law managers aren't supposed to negotiate unless they are an attorney, but many get away with it.
Number two, I can tell by HC's demeanor in that video that he must have been fired up as well.
Lastly, this is the last thing HC needed. I think he doesn't think people don't remember he walked off set, but that news spread, even if it was for an indie.
I believe Dany wanted to flex her muscle and show HC she can get what she wants. Probably because she is used to getting what she wants with the Rock and perhaps, she wanted to dangle the Rock Carrot to get the demands she wanted for HC.

Wow Culinary! LOL! Pasted at two threads. Well, here’s my take on it (just pasting what I said in the other thread).
I read it and I don’t see much difference to what had been said before from other outlets.
No MOS 2 is in the works - CHECK - that has been confirmed months ago when WB was more thinking about Supergirl (and may I add, a Joker movie of all things!) This is not news, this is a rehash.
And I’m sorry, there was clearly ‘a conflict’. Perhaps not about timing, but something else. (Most people didn’t buy the timing conflict anyway.) The conflict is about pay, and about him REFUSING to make a cameo appearance in SHAZAM, which I think is stupid. You don’t have a Superman movie in the pipeline for a while, so the least you can do is REMIND people that you are the MAN OF STEEL, and that you will always be the MAN OF STEEL. Why let down the fans? (But hey, he may still show up as a very late add on. They can do that sort of thing.)
The last paragraph is also a not news, that’s a given.
My take with that sentence is that he MAY play Superman again, ASSUMING the next MOS director chooses him for the role and he and the studio end their pay “conflict”. What if the director doesn’t choose him? What if the studio head gets annoyed with him, and says: “Take a walk!”
At this stage of his career, if he was truly successful, any director chosen by WB to direct the next MOS movie SHOULD HIRE HIM BY DEFAULT. A good example is Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man. RDJ made that role successful, any director who directed a movie which required Iron Man, had to have him as Iron Man — that is, the director have no say whatsoever of hiring someone else to play Iron Man. By contrast, HC right now, seems to be where he was when he was cast by McG in his Superman movie, until Bryan Singer took over and replaced him. To me, it would be better if TMZ reported that HC will play the MOS in the next Superman movie REGARDLESS of who the director is, but this is clearly not the case here.
I also wonder who “the sources” TMZ spoke to? Because I feel it’s the same people who tried to make all these non-news stuff into a bigger thing to create this big social media flare to boost someone’s profile. To me, it reads like someone who is NOT SECURE in their role, that they would have to resort to this ploy, probably to convince some studio executives that they “are relevant” and “loved” by the fans, so it would be a big mistake for him to be let go.

Yay!
That means we all can be Superman when and whenever there is a Superman movie and IF the NEW director chooses anyone of us.
That includes HC and all of us, but it doesn't make the role exclusive to HC. That's a bummer.
He's lucky if WB treats him like Brandon Routh, who was just neglected for some years before he found his footing, but something tells me HC might be blackballed.
He better call Monique.
He thought he should have been paid more than the standard $500k for a first movie.
I don't know what he got for BvS and JL, but I believe it was in the low millions. My guess is that he got $5 million for BvS and maybe the same for JL.
His money was supposed to come when there was a sequel to MOS, but it underperformed and the sequel never materialized.
I'm sure he felt kind of
about it, so do a lot of actors whose film isn't a blockbuster.
Flashforward. . .
April 2018 -- right after a big flop -- he demands to renegotiate his contract to add more films.
Who does that?
When I first heard that, I didn't think HC was that dumb.
But it gets better. . .
He wants WB to back up the Brink's truck and fill up his pockets with more money and allow him control over the nonexistent movie's script.
Again what?
Well, he wants more! He wants producing credit for himself under (Promethean) and co-producing credit for Dany Garcia.
What the crack are they smoking?
Now, I knew HC wasn't the brightest, but that's insane. He's truly touched in the head -- which I suspected -- and now they are talking about how bizarre his IG post was.
In the meantime. . .
Dany's coked up a@@, gets off scot-free, while her sheet man blindly follows her every command.

All I can say is if officially true then this sucks. HC was the primary reason I was interested in this franchise. If they choose someone else I don't know if I'll still be interested. (I'll definitely still see WW1984 and Aquaman, maybe SS2. Unsure about shazam, that looks corny. )
I don't get him walking out on Stratton to be diva behavior. From his camp it looked like he wasn't liking the direction the movie was going and didn't want to be attached to it (and given the end result it looks like he dodged a bullet). Though i guess on the show business level, it looks wack to leave before production starts.
I like MBJ. I really do (😛) but I don't see him as superman. And I doubt he'd want to take on that role. Plus I think that was just mindless speculation.
