It's good that he's got some different material. The action stuff was getting too superficial. I imagine that this is a supporting role, but it would be interesting to see HC play a big brother.

This new movie project is kind of ironic and “strange” for him on some level.
Firstly, Millie who is not even 18 and her sister Paige is going to get producer credit for this film through their production company. HC could not even get a producer credit for himself and his bro, Charlie for any movie. Millie seems to have made some deal with Legendary Pics (she did star in the latest Godzilla movie which didn’t do well in the cinemas).
Why can’t HC and his Promethean company get a producer credit for this movie, while Millie’s production company can?
Secondly, Legendary used to be partners with WB. Is this how HC got this role, ie his connections through WB? Does it mean then that whatever went down in negotiations for his role as Superman, he’s still working with WB and its affiliates (like Legendary)

Millie probably only agreed to do the project if she and sis were giving producing credit. It might be a vanity title, meaning it's just a producer credit in name only and doesn't mean squat when it comes to being paid as a producer.
Or. . .
She probably agreed for less money in exchange for a producing credit.
Or. . .
She gets paid for both, acting and producing.
Millie's team is mightier than HC's team. Plus, clout plays a part in all of this. Right now, Millie is hotter than HC.
Or
Millie's team had a hotter project to pitch.
No, this doesn't have any correlation to HC's future role as Supes.
Legendary and WB produce movies. They are both considered separate and independent studios. They joined forces to cut cost and reap the benefits.
A bit of history: Legend ended its partnership with WB and joined forces with Universal. Then, Legend left Universal. Now, Legend is back w/WB but the terms of their business dealings are different but the point is the same. They are separate and independent studios, who sometimes have dealings with each other.
To make it easier: Think of it as a wedding and the studios are families that come together to finance a big wedding. These families may have other children that they will have to marry off, but they might just pay off that other child's wedding w/their own money. It all depends on how expensive the wedding is.
With that said. . .
There are times when studios are approached by production companies (like Millie's company) with scripts/books they want to produce, but they need the big finances of a studio.
This seems to be the case for Enola Holmes. Millie's PCMA production company pitched the book/script to Legendary and was greenlit for production. In the deal, both companies will get producing credit.

For a ‘vanity title’ it seems to be getting a lot of good actors. Apart from Helena Bonham-Carter, they now have Sam Claflin. (Ironically, I saw him both listed as a possible new James Bond or a new Superman after HC in some internet lists.)
I wonder if HC would attempt to be less bulky for this role or would he keep the bulk to distinguish himself from the very lean Sherlock Holmes of Benedict Cumberbatch?

Oh, I don't think it's a vanity title. I do think this is a legit title. I was just listing the possibilities.
Hmm... he's in Florida. Home of the trainer. He's on vacay. Odds are not looking good, but I hope he does shed the weight.

There are really promoting it now. I’ve seen one article stating that it could be a replacement for Game of Thrones (don’t think so, but hey, they could come up with a better ending to this series).
The same article said “he ditched the role of Superman for his role in The Witcher”. Uh-huh...Talk about spinning in delusion...

Wwhat? Is that the best that they could come up with... I mean really? What about the old standby that he didn't like the direction that they were taking his character? Oops. I bet that will be the new spin.

Saw it. She’s hilarious, particularly when she pointed out that WB is not going to be at SDCC. Thought the same thing...
I’m curious, is she going to Comic Con. I read it’s kind of ‘slim pickings’ in the sense that Marvel, WB/DC are not going. Kinda weird for neither of them are going, especially now that Fox does not have the X-Men either as they’re under Disney now.

The article for last year’s Comic Con. But this year both DC/WB and Disney/Marvel will not show up. This is Comic-Con so when you have the two biggest comic book companies not showing up with anything this year it seems odd. WB has WW1984, the Joker lined up so I’m not sure why they’re not going. Fair enough Marvel just ended the Avengers thing and is probably preparing for the next one, but Disney also has another Star Wars movie showing up in December so I’m surprised they’re not featuring that one. I do notice though Disney seems to be reserving more of their stuff in their own convention (the D something).
On the plus side, Netflix’s launch of their Witcher series with Cavill would surely please people.
