In 1995, ABC presented a telemovie version of the Broadway musical Bye Bye Birdie produced by RHI Entertainment. It starred Seinfeld's Jason Alexander and Vanessa Williams of Desperate Housewives. While this version remained mostly faithful to the original musical (Michael Stewart remains the only credited author of this version), several songs were added and re-arranged, and dialogue was slightly rewritten to smoothly facilitate the musical changes. The musical revolves around an Elvis Presley-type rocker who's about to join the Army. To mark the occasion, his manager's secretary arranges for him to kiss a random fan goodbye on The Ed Sullivan Show. Bye Bye Birdie earned four Tony awards in 1961, including Best Musical and Best Actor in a Musical for its original star, Dick Van Dyke. In addition to Alexander and Williams, ABC's production starred Tyne Daly, George Wendt, Chynna Phillips and Mark Kudisch.

The video features set pieces strongly reminiscent of German expressionist filmmaking, such as that seen in The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920).

Soundgarden performs in the music video "Black Hole Sun" from the album "Superunknown" recorded for A&M Records. The video begins with shots of the sun. The band plays in a field under a bright blue sky with blowing clouds that eventually turns dark. People in a grim, surreal suburbia watch the sun as computer effects warp their eyes and mouths, all before it turns into the black hole and sucks everything up.

The video features footage of the band performing the song "Cherub Rock" live in a forest setting. It was shot outside San Francisco entirely on Super8 film on a modest budget. The director, Kevin Kerslake, employed various destructive techniques when developing the film to give the video a broken and dirty look.

惑星LV-426のエイリアン殲滅後、生き残った者達は冷凍睡眠につき、宇宙船スラコ号で地球に向かっていたが謎の事故を起こす。スラコ号から切り離された脱出艇はフィオリーナ161（通称フューリー）で回収されたが、ヒックスやニュートは着陸の際に死亡、ビショップも機能を停止していた。この漂着先は流刑の星で凶悪な囚人達が戒律の元で自活的な生活をおくり、放射性廃棄物を収める鉛のコンテナを作る作業をしていた。唯一の女性であるリプリーの出現で惑星の秩序は一時乱れるが囚人頭であるディロンが事態を収拾する。そんな時、脱出艇に潜んでいたエイリアンが活動を始める。
