I can see someone trying to kill him but they won't succeed. The mystery then will be "Who shot (or tried to kill) Drew?"

I don’t get it. If Cameron is a favorite of TPTB, why have they destroyed his character to the point where all of fandom hates him? Usually writers decimate a character when they’re getting ready to fire an actor.
