When Lucky went to Lulu to say his goodbyes he literally said he is spending the summer with Aiden and they are going traveling together.

I did not hear that at all, maybe I was zoned out at that point because I dislike this character so much. Regardless, it should have come up in his conversation with Liz- you know, since she’s his mom and should care about Aiden’s father leaving yet again.

He already worked it out with Liz. He told Lulu that Liz was being very mature about it.

So Lucky's absence from most of Aiden's life has now been nullified because he is going to travel with him all summer. We can no longer call him a deadbeat dad, apparently, even though he has been the definition of one.
